I'll be there! I got a table so will be mostly fursuit stuff but also excitingly, a very small queue of take home digital art commissions.
These will be portait style and completed within a few weeks. I'm still undecided on cost but will decide closer to the con. Currently making examples and such.
Hope to see familiar and new faces there :D

2019 & Holidays

Posted 7 years agoI somehow survived the move and thanks to the internet being connected this morning, this place has never felt more like home. :)
I've already been cracking into FurDU work and prep and hope to have everything done in time.

Its that time of the year where everyone looks back on the works and trembles in thought for what the future holds.
I've been drawing and doodling for ten years now (incidentally the same amount of time I've been active in the fandom) and while characters come and go, I've always done it for myself and on my own terms.
Come Christmas I'll be getting some oil paints and thanks to some much needed time off work, I'll be doing landscape paintings. I've never done it before traditionally so it will be a welcome change and provide some much needed perspective on my own work.
I might sneak an animal or two in there so I can upload them to my gallery - otherwise I'll chuck 'em over my long neglected Deviant Art.
My hopes and wishes for the new year have always been the same: small improvements that snowball into big ones.

Computer, tablet et all [Part 2]
Posted 8 years agoThanks to a USB and a new CD-ROM drive (actually a blu ray drive - wowzers!), my computer is all up and running. Huzzah!
Notable hitches:
having to scour the net to upgrade your network drivers so the computer will recognize that the green cable plugged in is indeed the internet. Had to get a program to tell me what drivers to update
down a drive: One of my hard drives isn't recognized anymore, I suspect a broken cable BUT the new 2 terabyte external hard drive I picked up to transfer files before the nuke is more then adequate to deal that that particular problem
BONUS: the nuke meant my tablet was able to install itself correctly and now works! So I can draw again, YAY!
Slowly reinstalling all the programs that I use on a day to day basis plus updates for graphics card and other hardware is what I'll be doing this morning before work
The whole experience has netted me +50 to troubleshooting and computer knowledge.

I've received my new tablet (Wacom One)
Bad news!
Stylus sensitivity doesn't work and neither do the suggested fixes (Thanks for trying Google <3)
I also had to reformat my computer! But I have a back up of all my important files and such. Yay
Its CD-ROM drive doesn't work so waiting on a windows 7 boot/setup thumb drive from a friend so I can give back this laptop I borrowed.
I was given permission to install things so I have a unfamiliar version of photoshop from my computer parts box and a few other programs I don't think I'll use but are on here anyway.
Unfortunately I can't return the tablet (apparently common issue no real fix :/) so will save for a more expensive one - the Intuos seems to be the best option.
I am without a creative fix so have trying to force myself to do traditional sketches in lieu of digital work. Fursuit work definitely contributes to scratching that itch but its not quite the same.

Pretty much the same markings 'cept sea lion outer casing. Doubt anyone's too interested in that...
I've been sick with a head cold for the last week and am very much over it. I'd like to stop coughing plus I work retail so customers have been commenting on my husky voice.
In art news I've been doing a bunch of Steven Universe fan arts over at my deviantart: http://creamatian.deviantart.com/ with more on the way. They're all screenshot redraws but I've been learning a lot and they are a heap of fun so will definately keep doing those.
