!!! DA !!
General | Posted 10 years agohttp://koretra.deviantart.com/
I recently made a da because my friend made me and I'm getting a lot more support there than on FA because... well, if it isn't obvious, I don't draw furries.
I'll be uploading new stuff there and old stuff for a little bit until I'm all caught up. I'll probably end up being more active on there than FA but I may still upload some things here too.
Please watch me there if you can. Thanks!

fish owner's fearRR
General | Posted 10 years agoif you own fish, or if you own a lot of fish like me, your 68 gallon tank cracking and leaking all over the floor is not something you'd want to see 8)
I went into the kitchen earlier and the floor was wet, but it was literally right near the water bowl so I thought it was the cat's mess
then I went back into the kitchen and realized the table that the fish tank was on was wet
thus I checked the tiny crack on the side of the fish tank that's been there for months and it literally cracked ALL the way up to the top in one day and I realized there was less water in it than usual
the fish tank we got as a present so we were lucky but now is the hard part, finding another around the same size
challenge accepted with hesitationn

one of my biggest fears
General | Posted 10 years agoI'm extremely afraid of raggedy ann.
and yes she's a doll, but I don't have a fear of dolls (pediophobia). It's literally just that one character, raggedy ann. I'm so scared of her that I can't even bring myself into wendy's because wendy looks like her and I can't look in the store's direction, either. when I was young, my mom gave me one but I was so afraid of it that I literally sobbed when she tried to put it in my bed, so she ended up getting rid of it. the reason why I remembered I'm afraid of her is because I just had a dream that for some reason my mom was in my room and she asked me to grab her doll hair from the raggedy ann in the hallway and I kind of hesitated, so I went to the washroom. When I came back into the hallway, the doll was gone, so I assumed mom took it after I was stalling and went back into the room.
she was still sitting there, waiting for the hair.
to which then I freaked out because we were the only ones in the house. my mom just scoffed and she went to my closet to look for some hair from my other dolls and when she moved out of the way, the raggedy ann doll was standing in my doorway without a support and my fucking blood ran cold.
the raggedy ann then started moving to run under my bed and basically I pounced after it but I couldn't catch her and I woke up as soon as she made it all the way under.
being that I sleep in my room like a normal person, when I woke up, my anxiety skyrocketed. I don't know how many times I looked around the room trying to see if it wasn't a dream. In fact, I'm still afraid right now. I know in general dreams end when you wake up and I know when I'm in the real world, but with this doll I literally just feel scared whether I'm asleep or awake.
and honestly I don't think it's weird I'm afraid of her now. After I watched the movie the conjuring and looked up the actual doll, it turned out to be A fUCKING RAGGEDY ANN-
raggedy ann is evil and I knew it all along. my subconscious knew that this damn doll was evil. *waves cane through air*

this deserves a journal entry
General | Posted 10 years agomy dad is one of those men who wouldn't ask an employee where something is for his life and I told him to do it this time because I didn't want him to end up getting the wrong thing because there are two products that are similar but only one is good for me
I would have went over and got the thing myself but he's the one with a 'vehicle'
so he called me and told me that the store didn't have it and that it was only available online- no, in fact THEY'VE NEVER HAD IT IN THEIR COMPANY EVER!! (i previously went online and it said they had it in stock in the store and online)
so my dad went looking anyway and he found it
my dad said he doesn't like asking for help because apparently employees don't know where things are
and this time
....
he was actually right

the computer with no power button
General | Posted 11 years agoaka my new computer
it's a sony vaio and the only button we could press was 'assist'
on the side there was a green light with a power sign, but it was just plastic put in to look like an indicator that the computer was on
I just found out now that the button was push in so far, it's completely useless, and it in fact WAS the power button
now every time I have to turn on my computer, I have to press assist and restart it every day because on stand by for too long the computer shuts off sobs
its amazing though, this computer doesn't heat up when I play games or am on it for a long time at all
in old news, the dress is black and blue

First horror movie
General | Posted 11 years agoI've yet to see anyone who isn't still scared of the first horror movie they saw as a child. (Unless of course, they don't end up turning into a horror movie fanatic and are too much of a pussy to view it again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Can't blame.)
I'm gonna come out with this firsthand, my first horror movie was an M. Night Shyamalan film. Specifically 'Signs'. An alien movie that started filming right on september 11th 2001. It's your original crop circle farm family mystery.
maybe that movie is why I'm so into aliens, but that shit I can't even watch through distorted glass. It's goddamn terrifying, and honestly, it has one of the best atmospheres in a horror movie I've experienced. Usually you get very high pitched music and dramatic sounds in at least.... I don't know, an hour throughout the entire movie if we're talking about a 1 and a half hour film here. Sounds are what make a..well- a mOVIE.
Signs uses music yes, and it's not your tiptoe through the tulips.
http://youtu.be/itQWlQLHgY4?t=1m6s
It's kind of like the jaw's music, you get suspense throughout. It gradually gets louder and just more creepy. Same thing with the movie, there is tons of moments where there's complete silence and all you can hear is the actor's dialogue and it gives you a really good sense of realism. There is pop ups in the movie, but they're reasonable. it's nothing stupid like- ohh..someone is behind the fridge door and SOMEHOW you didn't hear ANYTHING COME UP TO YOU!? bullllllll sheet. it's unnecessary unrealistic scares that are oh so easy to predict. (I know when to cover my eyes though, so bless in a way.)
on the alien aspect? TERRIFYING. I can't think of a better word for ABSOLUTELY GODDAMN FUCKING TERRIFYING because after all, that's the kind of impression your first horror movie leaves on you. Then again, I feel extremely lucky it was my first horror movie since I still kinda feel it's one of the best. (bias, bias...)
The way the aliens communicate? Just think squirrel. Crackling and pops, or the sounds your mouth makes when you want to grab a cat or dogs attention. It may seem stupid, but nah man. nah nah. I'm scarred for life in that aspect. I hear squirrels outside and boy do I just have flashbacks. i think that was really creative. That and the alien design. Fuck the whole grey 3-4 ft tall shiny skin aspect, this mother fucking design right here sticks in my head like glue as another...
drum roll....
aBSOLUTELY GODDAMN FUCKING TERRIFYING THING. They're about as tall as regular humans, and their skin can blend in with the environment. Plus their face is dark and just egheugh

here's a screenie. It's not high quality, but it's filmed from a film....inside the film. Filmception, you know that jazz.
This film also doesn't only focus on the aliens, but the family aspect. You have a father who used to be a priest, his wife died in a car crash and so he had to raise his daughter and son (with the help of their uncle). Their uncle had dreams he wanted to pursue, and in a way he did, but he left them. I don't remember why, though. Nor do I remember why the father stopped being a ...father. (badumtss)
the little boy in the film has asthma and he has a unique view on things. Kind of heartless at times. The little girl is cute of course, but she complains a little. The relationship between the father and uncle is really unique, I just love how EVERYONE interacts with ...EVERYONE.
The silence in the movie really helps. There's no internet searching really filmed and deep investigation with other characters, there's only a few minor people. There's books and stuff. And when family read books, shit like this happens.
http://www.returnofkings.com/wp-con.....nfoil-hats.jpg
The father does have some angst. tbh this family isn't like your typical hollywood family. There are movies where parents fight, but the father gets angry at his children and lashes out a few times. And then you have a shot where the little girl is just watching Dexter's laboratory. too casual 4 speeel berg x3 The father and uncle also does a crazy thing, they think someone is outside of their house cause they see the swing start to move and they were like, 'okay. we're going to go out there, we're going to shout loud and run around the house to try and scare them away.' SO THEY ACTUALLY DO THAT and of course, nothing happens. You could call that a pointless as fuck scene, but I loved it, I love crazy things. I think m night shyamalan has the best stories ever. They may not be portrayed well through movies because people say his stuff is shit, but in his head he's creative and he just loves the things I do. If I was an actor, I'd probably have good stuff and turn into a flop just like him, but I know how I want my story to go and in my head it's something incredible I would love to share with everyone else.
If I had to compare movies, this film is like dark skies. Only dark skies don't have much thought into... alien design. BUT IT'S SUBTLE, and I like it. And then there's...unnecessary pop ups that I don't..quite like. It is very nice though and I recommend it if you prefer an alien abduction implanting story rather than a home invasion and a family trying to work together. Because sometimes the latter is just better.
ok before I turn this into an essay and the sun goes down, I'm gonna go watch signs while I'm home alone because that is a very smart thing to do if I want to end up sleeping tonight. toodles
