Why not - "Where else to find me JUST IN CASE! :D"
General | Posted 10 years agoBecause everybody is making this kinda journal now apparently. I don't intend on leaving FA, and frankly I'd rather pull teeth than start using FurryNetwork.
I can be found in different places, but this is the only place that has my... "art", so to speak.
I can be found on Inkbunny for my writing: https://inkbunny.net/Drakue
On tumblr for my irl porn: http://shapedlight.tumblr.com/
On Etsy for Akifu Toys: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/AkifuT.....=hdr_shop_menu
On Twitter for my stupid opinions on stuff: http://twitter.com/#!/Shaped_light
And I'm pretty inactive but still technically on Sofurry: https://drakue.sofurry.com
So, yeah. Go follow me or something. <3

Artists need dry clothes too!
General | Posted 11 years agohttp://www.gofundme.com/ci9nrgI know it doesn't SOUND important - but my two friends, Roadkill and Dizzi, don't have dryers! Or washing lines, or radiators - basically everything people take advantage of in order to get dry clothes. They're currently having to travel to friends and parents houses, and that's no good. It'll slow art production to a crawl, costing them a buttload of money and maybe making it impossible for them to have dry clothes at all. D:
C'mon, restore someone's faith in the fandom by donating just a 'lil bit. <3

Your Fursona and How You're Not Special
General | Posted 13 years agoNow I've been reading up a lot recently about how the outside world, and even those from within the fandom/culture see the 'furry' world. I could go on and on about my findings, how some of my views are different but largely I can see where those other writers are coming from, but I think I'd rather pick on one thing so far that writers on both sides seem to agree upon; Fusonas have to be 'unique', or at least furries think they do, or they're boring.
I disagree, strongly.
Take my own 'sona, for example; silver wolf, not much to him. No really special markings, no supernatural powers, nothing to make him super special in any really unique way... and y'know what? That's all I need. That's all my friends have needed, too; when I roleplay, my 'sona is just a tool I use to build things around. He's a character I like to think of when I'm bored, to create stories around, or just to imagine him fighting. Sometimes he looses; he's not perfect, he's not especially strong, but he's exactly what I want.
I don't agree that every furry has to feel special or unique in this fandom/culture, since the large being that is Furry tends to be very welcoming and nurturing to those of it's own. On the large, anyway - there's always resistance, and assholes of any ilk.
Sure, some (if not most) furries who make a fursona like to make it big and flashy, and in the process make it just as big and flashy as everybody ELSE trying to make it big and flashy, and - in the words of [Adjective][Species], "Being normal is what really makes you stand out."
These days nobody takes a second glance at somebody with wings, or who has a rail-road spike through their faces, because hey - it's your 'sona, it's what you want it to be. Sometimes people will say "Hey, that's a really clever design!", and often enough people will remember your character if it has subtle, but interesting quirks - and I think this is where we can draw a parallel to humans.
If you meet somebody and they're just quirky enough to be interesting, you'll remember that person; and in the furry fandom, being 'not normal' IS the new 'normal'. I suppose it depends and varies depending upon where you go, who you meet, and what kinds of people you follow...
...But I just wanted to say that if you're one of the increasingly few of us with what others would call 'bland', 'mundane' or 'unimaginative' characters, that's okay. I understand that not all of us need some big fancy hoo-haa every time we enter a room, we just want a way to interact with each other's fantasy worlds, characters and settings.
Really it's a matter of being happy with what you have. Not settling for less, not wanting more and just not having the imagination for it, just being happy with some small part of normality, even in our fantasy. c:

Y'know what? Commissions.
General | Posted 13 years agoI've decided to officially put that I will do commissions, cheapy stuffs depending upon what ya want.
They'll be like less than $10 apiece for random stuffs, probably less for any tribal/tattoo stuff, which admittedly I am better at.
So, anybody interested?

FA admins - I give up / ready to spam
General | Posted 14 years agoWell, since the FA admins won't help me get my work back, I guess I'll have to submit any artwork that I've already done. >:l
Sorry if I'm filling your inbox, I'll try not to upload it all at once and I'll also try and get all the info correct.
Sorry, but it has been over a week since I contacted the admins and submitted my ticket. They still haven't helped.
If they tell me off for uploading too many I swear to god I'm going to kick off. :l

General | Posted 14 years agoSsso I can't change my password. For some reason I'm still logged in, but... f*ck, I've been hacked.
All of my artwork is gone, since a year ago, and I really really need some help. Please. ;-;
WHO ARE YOU?!

Okay, what the fuck. [Possible bug]
General | Posted 14 years agoIn that it bugs the CRAP outta me! When I hovered over new submissions on the main page about... I don't know, a week ago, it showed up with the title, icon of the uploader and a little snippet of the information box.
Now, not even submissions in my fracking INBOX have titles or usernames under them, just a check box for nuking. D<
Is this just me? Have I done something stupid that can easily be fixed, or has FA randomly imposed this new 'feature' onto us? D:
For fuck's sake, please tell me how to fix this, or if you know ANYTHING about it. :C

My friend Khaz is going to be homeless if he doesn't get a place to stay, ASAP. So. Your choice. If I have any friends in that general area, I'm calling in all tokens and handing a few out.

iScribble; Interactive drawing help?
General | Posted 14 years agoObviously I love having someone's input on my drawing, as I'm doing it. But how in the world will that ever be possible?
OH wait, the title. Yes, iScribble seems to be the way to do it! So, log on, and if you have to join... well, I'm not sure you can. Good luck, either way.
Look for Drakue. Feel free to add me, and you'll have boards to draw whatever we want, or for one of us to critique the other, exc. I enjoy colouring line-art, or just messing about.
Help your fellow artists improve! (Friends of me will just be able to use my email adress and username. )

This is how we celebrate in my head
General | Posted 14 years agoWe change our fursonas!
For the next... just after christmas, I will change my fursona to a bunny. <3 JUST BECAUSE.
He's brown cream-coloured, with a white butt and a speckled edge. He has a fluffy brown tail, two long ears, and still has those two stud ear-rings.
Due to a lack of tail, I've seen it pointless to inflict upon him the same surgery that has allowed Fuzzy, my other fursona, his special powers.
He'll still don that nice, black collar; I gave him a small sapphire to hang from it, an oval with the word "Grace" on it. It's encased in normal glass, and held with a metal moulding at the top to attach it to the chain.
As for clothing... Well, he spends a lot of time underground. He's kinda snobby; He doesn't like communicating with other breeds that aren't exotic, with few exceptions. Dispite that, he still lives underground in a suprisingly well-furnished hovel.
He's the son of the Mayor of Kimoc, a recently very successful town from my Lonewolf series. (stories. >.>) He's also a trap, after dark. Nobody else knows that, because he goes by a different name... His after-dark name is Danielle. When he's out on a night, he wears a mid-length short skirt, a tight pink top, and makeup. He also wears his long, slender ears down, pinned down with his hair.
Normally, he wears tight jeans. I mean... TIGHT. The top near the tail is buttoned to go over his tail and keep them up without a belt, which he considers too bulky and "workaday".
I'll work a bit more on this guy a bit later, I think.
His name, you ask?ACE REDHEARTHey. Hey you. YOU THERE, WATCHER!
General | Posted 14 years agoGotcha! Muhahaha!
Now, what I want from you... is a link. A very specific link. What I want from YOU, IN PARTICULAR...
Is a link to your favourite piece of art that you have created. I'm planning to spread your work about, for free. Can't argue with that, can you?
And if you haven't created anything, no poems, no music, not a single scrappy piece of contributionary work...
Then do that now! :1
This means you too, Kasran.

Show an artist some love this holiday season.BASIC
General | Posted 14 years agoBasic basic basic. >:I
This is my character. He is 5'4'', he's an alasken timber wolf with silver pelt. His eyes are mirrors, or blue - whichever you prefere.
He did have a device strapped to his back, but he got rid of that for some spinal implants-- NO. BAD FUZZY. BASIC.
*Ahem*
The fur along his spine is slightly shorter; it used to be a main but he shaved it for some surgery.
His tail gathers and amplifies static electricity.
I could go into MASSIVE detail, but all you know is that with practice, he has learned to throw static electricty from his palms, and sometimes even raw plasma from his tail.
For this to happen from his palms, his tail must be wrapped around his waist.
Due to failed esperiments, several parts (E.G fingers, tail's tip exc) often are left smouldering...
CLOTHING.
Normally just wears baggy-ish trousers, and nothing much else. He likes the feel of the ground under his paws.
He has two emerald stud-earings on his left ear, one above the other.
OTHER.
Long, bushy tail. Black paw-pads; on the topic of hands, he has a cross... still has claws, but has a basic palm-structure. Makes things easier in the practical world.
If you really wanna get into detail, he also has tiny scars going from his tail tip up his spine to his neck. Again, further detail may be asked about later.
UM.
Anything else? Just ask.

SORRY ABOUT THIS, LOOKIE HERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2934767/
And HERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2934767/Copied from Seren -
I'm sure you've seen a number of journals floating around in the last couple days about the little debacle that a few of the Pink Pepper people have had happen to them in regards to paypal.
Apparently, even citing the phrase "FA" in a paypal note can get your account canceled. Not even saying furAffinity, just...fA. Apparently, paypal does not like us. :S
So, in response to this, I, like a good number of other people, am going to switch to the paypal invoicing method. Thankfully, this isn't going to mean a change in payment method for anyone. :) Realistically, nothing is going to change for you guys.
How it's going to work now, is when you enter into a commission deal with me, I will ask for your paypal email, and then I will send you an invoice with my paypal. This will send an email to you that will lead you to paypal, and then you click and pay, without needing to send me a note telling me who you are, or where you're from. :) That way, I don't get my paypal shut down, and can keep making pretty things, and you can keep getting pretty things from me.
Thanks everybody, and have an awesome Tuesday! I'm back to doing more commissions now. :) I think I might actually get caught up today, lol!
Cheers!
