Where are y'all coming from?
Posted 6 years agoI just realized that I've been gaining followers at a faster rate than usual, even though I havent been really doing much. xD
Usually when i post something new or when a commissioner reposts my art to their gallery, I can understand where new followers come from, but otherwise I have no clue lol. Was I pimped out somewhere? haha

Update on Commission Stuff
Posted 6 years ago(Edit: For those of you who are just finding this journal, the commission window has already passed! There was like... 12 inquiries in 30 mins haha)
I'll be done with most of my freelance work this weekend so I'll be back to taking some regular commissions soon! Probably sometime next week. But there are a couple of important changes I'll be making.
First off, NEW EMAIL! I'm gonna be using seyumeiarts@gmail.com SOLELY for private commissions from now on, and retired my old outdated one, draggincat@gmail.com. This way I can keep all my commission inquiries in one place, keep tabs on them easier and they wont get lost with all my other messages. I'm probably only gonna use the draggincat one for like alt accounts or a spam dumpster lol.
Commissions will be FCFS as usual, though instead of reserving your slot through comments, you'll just need to email me (at the new email of course). I get notified of emails right away while I'm on my comp or phone so I figured this would be a better way instead of having to check back on multiple sites for comments. You don't need to decide on what you want right away when sending the email btw! Just let me know that you're interested. :'D I'll send you the commission forms after you've secured your spot.
There also wont be a fixed number of slots, I'll just take as many as I am able. Once I think I have enough people, I'll close commissions by deleting my announcement.
Heres my commission site for reference! https://seyumeicommissions.weebly.com/ I cleaned up the site a little bit by taking off the snowy animation and background that apparently looked really terrible on mobile lol
There are two important changes I did make to my TOS though!
The first one is regarding response times. I've had a long time issue with customers 'ghosting', meaning when I contact them or ask them a question (after they've expressed interest in getting a commission) they just stop answering for some unknown reason. This is something that has always bothered me because it delays my work and keeps me wondering if the client still wants the commission, while I could be working on someone elses commission in the meantime. This problem was why I was reluctant to do waitlists again, since ghosting was common there. Therefore I cut down holding slots for a week to 3 days. If I do not hear from a client within 3 days before the payment period, I will send them a warning that thier spot will be given up, and after 2 days without any response from that, I will take them off the queue. Keep in mind that this doesn't apply after I've received payment, though fast responses are always appreciated!
The second one might disappoint some people, but I have to get rid of the 'see sketch before payment' option. The reason why is because sometimes (but not often!) people will run off with my premade sketch for free. This has happened about 4 times now. Normally what I try to do prevent this is by making the sketch as messy/unfinished as possible, but apparently some people are satisfied with just having that? I guess if you don't have to pay anything its a good deal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The reason why I had this option in the first place was because I understood being weary about giving a large sum of money to an artist you've never worked with before, so I had this option available so people could feel more secure (keep in mind that invoices do protect you pretty well though). But now I can't risk not getting paid for my time anymore, so I have to remove this payment option for my protection. For those of you who've chosen this option before and went through with the payment fine, thank you for that and I apologize that this won't be available anymore.
Sorry if I sound kinda peeved over these things, but I'm trying to get a bit more strict with my rules. I feel like my leniency in the past has gotten me taken advantage of, so I just want to come up with the best streamlined system I can that makes you (the client) and me both happy.
But yeah thats about it! Just thought I'd keep those who are waiting for me to open updated :'D

Artist Recs?
Posted 6 years agoI just realized that I don't really follow too many artists on here, but I'd like to discover more! The reason why is because most of the top artists here are exclusively porn artists that tend to overshadow SFW artists (or at least artists who dont draw NSFW all the time) and it gets hard to find em xD
I also love commissioning when I can, but a lot of the artists I already follow are either really hard to get commissions from or have price ranges far above my budget xD So if you know any artists who you've had good experiences with, please share! (Bonus points if they know how to draw humans and backgrounds)
Disclaimer: I'm not looking for 100% SFW clean slate artists (cause I know thats pretty much nonexistent here xD) I'd just prefer not seeing every single upload be weird porn lol. I just wanna see some good talent is all!
But yeah feel free to share artists you like and I might give em a follow :D I'll also let you know if I'm already following them.
Edit: Wow I really need to lurk here more, I missed out on so many good artists xD

Thanks for the Trusted Artist Badge!
Posted 7 years agoWoke up this morning to see that I apparently got it haha. Thanks to everyone who recommended me for it! ;u; I've seen the badge around for a while and I knew you needed recommendations for it, but I didnt want to bother any of my commissioners to do that for me. xD So to those of you who did so for me, thank you so much! I'm flattered <3
I also decided to add the human artist badge along with it too, since I was also considered a human artist a while back. So yay, more fancy things to spruce up my profile with :D

'Pick and Choose' vs 'First Come First Serve' Commissions
Posted 7 years agoSomething that's been on my mind lately, and I was curious about you guy's thoughts on it. Mainly this is about artists who take commissions where they choose which prompts they want to do from a pool of potential commissioners versus artists who take commissions from the first few people who contact them. I think both methods have their pros and cons, and I'll share some of my thoughts on them. (I might've also gotten this idea from someone elses journal, if you're reading this, you know who you are haha xD)
I'm normally a 'first come first serve' artist, but the last time I took commissions a few months ago I did the 'pick and choose' method, just to try it out. I got about 20+ apps in but only chose 8. I liked the fact that i had the freedom to choose, however, I couldn't help but feel that I might've made some of the people I didn't choose a bit jaded. Like maybe they thought I didn't like their idea? (which is NOT true at all, in fact there were a ton of good ones, which made it that harder to choose |D) I also felt like this method may have scared off a few potential clients as well (like people who don't take rejection well?).
On my side, I have tried commissioning 'pick and choose' artists myself and out of all three times that I did, I wasn't chosen for any of them. I did feel a little hurt, mostly cause it gave off the feeling that like they didn't like my idea/characters, but then again, I might never know the real reason. (then I try to make myself feel better by saying "at least I saved money haha")
I used to think that this way would be fairer to people who live in different time zones? But at the same time an artist's biases could probably make it not. Like maybe they only like characters with a certain aesthetic or maybe the commissioner has a lot of followers, so they want that exposure.
The only way I can see 'first come first serve' being a problem is if someone lives in a different time zone than the artist and the artist only opens a few spots at a time (like maybe 1-3) But for the most part it seems like the easiest, most straightforward way. No hurt feelings here haha. :'D
If I do take commissions again, I'll probably resort back to 'first come first serve'. Last time it took way longer than it should to choose people and I'd rather not deal with the hassle of that xD plus I don't want to potentially upset anyone, heh.
So which do you prefer when commissioning artists? What are your thoughts?

Heads up!
Posted 8 years agoSince FA finally fixed their gif uploading system (before the thumbnails would look like a mess when i uploaded gifs) I'm gonna be deleting my old animation placeholders and reuploading my animation commissions, and maybe some of my own over the next few days, so bear with me on that!
I also changed up how you can estimate your prices on my commissioning website! https://draggincatscommissions.weeb.....d-pricing.html I felt like my old pricing scale was a bit too wide, so I broke it off into certain factors (like character and background) that I use to estimate people's commission prices and now it should be a lot easier to guess what price you'll end up with if you commission me! I don't know how or if I'll take commissions this weekend or the next. But for sure I'll take a few this month!
Yeah I think thats all!

Will be gone for 3 weeks!
Posted 8 years agoI applied to this Pixar summer program back when I was still in school and somehow miraculously got in! I honestly dont know too much about this program other than its essentially a storyboarding class and we'll be taught by Pixar artists. I also have two other friends from school who got in too so I wont be going alone (thank god haha). We'll be taught at some art school near the Pixar studio and we'll be touring there too! So I'll be pretty far away from home.
It starts on July 29 and goes all the way through August 18. So I'll be kinda MIA for 3 weeks which is pretty long, but not to worry, I'll still be around! I'm trying to force myself to use social media more and post more sketches and random life things on Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram (i dont really like posting unfinished work on DA haha) so feel free to follow me there if you start missing me lol. I may also post some backlogged art here as well just for the sake of posting here xD We should have wifi there. I hope. I'm pretty sure...
Heres to hoping it'll be a good experience though! Hopefully my storyboarding skills improve a lot from this (a skill i really want to get better at), make some new friends and connections, and get some good portfolio pieces out of it. (:

Follow me on Twitter!
Posted 8 years agoI've had my twitter account for years now but I've just started using it more frequently: https://twitter.com/draggincat
I'm also going to be reposting a lot of old commissions I did in the past 2 years or so there. Thing is I'd rather post the commissions with a tag for somebody, but I never know where to direct it, so i kinda just put it out there. |D But I know a lot of you guys have twitters so i'd like to know em so i can send it to ya there!
I've already put some old commissions up but they dont really have tags, so if you see a commission of yours up there, let me know your twitter username and i can repost/forward it to ya. :)
I think some of you already follow me there, but I can always use more followers since I'm trying to be more active there! (also helps me find where to tag my commissioners x'D)
(Speaking of commissions, I decided that I won't be using Commiss.io until Paypal is implemented in their system. I think a lot of people seem to be intimidated/confused from the new system, so I think I'll just do it the old fashioned way until then.)

Commiss.io?
Posted 8 years agoI've been hearing things about the site for a while and I was wondering if it was a good platform to start taking commissions on? From the looks of it, it seems a lot simpler to navigate and i feel like the commission process could go thru a lot more efficiently too. And alternatives to Paypal are nice since I know Paypal can be pretty unreliable sometimes.
I'm planning on opening a few slots soon so I figure this could be a nice testing ground.
I know they haven't linked paypal with it yet, so not sure how the payment system works on it.
Have you used the site before or have you bought commissions from anyone who uses the site? How was your experience and would you recommend it? Or should i just stick with my usual email/paypal invoice routine?

Posted 8 years agoThat in all my years here I've never had anyone ask me to draw anything porny. I thought this never happened here.
I'm proud of y'all.
Oh wait a minute.. i just remembered someone did one time.
Shit.

Post Grad Plans!
Posted 8 years agoYes I did graduate! I got a BFA in Animation with emphasis on the preproduction side. (like storyboarding/character design/ect) I originally went for 3d art and animation, but gave it up after I realized I hated it haha. But now that I dont need to worry about schoolwork and deadlines anymore, I'm just trying to settle down and think of what to do next with my life. xD But here are some plans I kinda laid out for myself:
During Summer:
FanAlley in 2 weeks!
My first "mini con" of sorts. xD I'm still trying to prepare prints and other things I plan to sell for that since its coming up soon. I really need to get my prints done a week in advance since we're using an online printing service and I have to edit a lot of my prints since they're the wrong sizes. (im new at this, dont judge me lol)
CLEAR OUT THAT TO-DO LIST!
For those of you who are still waiting on art for me, I'm so sorry! This last semester was my busiest ever, but I thought I'd have SOME free time to work on commissions during the semester, but I just didnt have that luxury. I'll be getting through things asap!
Going to a Pixar Summer Program in late July!
Not an internship like I hoped hah. |D But I got accepted to go to this special storyboarding program hosted by Pixar in the summer at an art college up north. I have some other pals from school that got in too so should be a cool experience! Its kinda similar to the Nickelodeon program I had last summer, but its a 3 week program, so a bit longer than before. I'll probably take a mini hiatus during that time.
Revive Patreon again?
Honestly, I haven't looked at Patreon since I went on hiatus xD (didn't want to look at my depleting pledges, it'd make me depressed haha. Heres a link to it tho: https://www.patreon.com/draggincat?ty=h feel free to point out to me how badly its doing xD) But at this point, I feel like its only worth reviving if enough people are interested in it. That or I might just have to edit the tiers so that it doesnt end up being so much work for me haha. It has helped me a lot when I was struggling tho, so thats why i dont want to completely drop it as I know it comes in handy for artists in the long run. So I dunno, 'll try to decide before June!
After Summer:
Keep freelancing until I can find something better/more stable
Pretty much haha. My goal is to get a part time gig at a studio somewhere or just something related to art. (i prefer part time since I still want time to work on my own things, but if i get offered a full time gig, I'll take whatever I can get at this point xD) Lately I've been only taking on freelance jobs as they usually pay better than normal commissions, but as for taking commissions publicly again, I may only do those only sparingly or just only take small commissions, as I don't want it to take up so much of my time that I could be working on my own art.
My dream job is still to live off my own art and creations, but I'm still eons away from that |D so I'll just be doing these things on the side.
Try to get involved in the art community more
I've noticed I've been doing a terrible job at making friends in the art community and just making art friends online in general |D Thanks to my severe social anxiety, I'm always so terrified that I'll seem annoying and bothersome to people that I dont really approach anyone. Thus making me feel really alone and depressed when I'm online. It also doesnt help that my activity online these past months have been very limited, which I feel made a lot of people uninterested in my art and leave me. OTL
But I've slowly been trying to combat that by signing up for more cons (hoping to make more art friends), taking on more opportunities and I've even thought of joining art books and other collaborations online too. Its been helping, but I'm still kind of at a somber state of where I am right now and I hope to revive what I've lost over the years.
Do more original art!
I'm honestly at my happiest when I'm drawing stuff I want to draw. I also want to be known for drawing my own ideas, not someone elses. I don't want to be known as that artist that draws 'insert fandoms here' or 'does furry commissions'. I want to be known for my own stories and characters. Thats not to say that I wont draw fanart or commissions from time to time, but ultimately thats what I hope for. So yeah, more story moments and dumb comics to come!
Yeah, I think thats it for my rambling haha.

Patreon has been put on hiatus!
Posted 8 years agoI never really advertised or mentioned my Patreon that much here, but I've been keeping up with it for almost 2 years now.. until now!
School has left me to a point where I'm so stressed and depressed, I can no longer produce enough work ( at least that people would be interested in) to post on there, or even publicly! So I figured the best thing was to close it down until maybe the summer when school is out of the way. So thats what I did after the stream yesterday!
BUT, I've still left it open for people who wanna donate to help me out out of generosity, since I cant even take commissions anymore to help sustain myself. |D So its kinda just a donation box atm.
Heres my Patreon, or whats left of it haha: www.patreon.com/draggincat
I'm honestly surprised some people still chose to stick with me x'D
For those of you who stuck with me since the beginning, I cant thank you enough! Y'all are too awesome ;O;
I'll also start posting my sketches and things I never used to post publicly on my Tumblr and Twitter. I'm trying to get into the habit of using them more often. |D
Heres my tumbles: www,draggincat.tumblr.com/
And my twits: www.twitter.com/draggincat
Also, just a quick thanks to everyone who supports my work! Whether monetarily or in spirit! I appreciate it all! :D

Which do you prefer? (when it comes to taking commissions)
Posted 9 years agoSo I only really have one more commission left to do on my queue (its a big one so it might take a bit to finish) but after that one is cleared, I'm thinking about taking commissions publicly again, which is something i havent done in over a year haha. The times I open commissions are pretty random, it really depends if I'm in the mood or if I'm in need of cash.
Unlike most artists I dont really like taking a lot of slots at once. (like 10 or more) Instead I like only taking one, two or three at a time because taking too many slots stresses the heck out of me and when I did take a lot of slots at once, I had a lot of trouble with people not answering my messages/slow communication and payments getting cancelled/lost interest in buying. It was just a bad experience so I like to keep it simple for myself. I also dont like to keep my clients waiting forever, so taking fewer slots means I can get your product done pretty quickly!
So when I start up doing this again, I'm only planning to take a few slots at once. But what I'm debating on is the method of how I'd go about taking the slots. I have 2 methods in mind: artist's choice or first come first serve.
To me, artist choice seems like the more appealing way for me, but I can see how other people may see it as unfair. The way this would work is that I would leave my slots open for a few days and choose people's prompts and ideas that I would enjoy working with the most. I like to take a variety of ideas and characters and sometimes I'm not always too thrilled to draw the same things over and over again. But at the same time, a lot of my own biases can come into play and some people may not be chosen at all. But this would be more fair to people who may miss the chance to grab a slot if I did first come first serve.
Another way is first come, first serve, which is the way I used to do it before. The first people to comment on my journals get the slots! The only way I could see this as unfair is to people who live in other timezones or have erractic schedules, as I tend to take commissions during the afternoon where I am (usually on a weekend) where I have a lot of time to respond to emails quickly.
I'd just like to know what my followers (and potential commissioners) prefer and I'll take it into account next time! :)

Animations added to my Commission Website!
Posted 9 years agoAdded a new item to my commission website!: http://draggincatscommissions.weebl.....ion-loops.html I raised the prices a bit since I realized that I was spending a lot more time on them than I expected. :'D
My animations have been getting a lot of good reception but I was a bit disappointed that not that many people expressed interest in buying ;~; even with the cheap prices I was offering before. Maybe people here prefer illustrations over animations? So i dunno if I'll get takers for this again, but the option is there if I open my coms again!

Would you guys be interested in something like this?
Posted 9 years agoI want to experiment more with simple animations, either fake screenshot things like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20958145/ or like whats on my icon. Now that animation is slightly less painful for me to do, I want to try it out with difference characters and situations. I wont do that many, maybe like 1 or 2 slots in the coming months. Its just to help me get used to it. :'D It wont be first come, first serve though, instead I'll choose which project interests me the most.
For simple animations I can do things like:
- blinks (like in my examples :'D)
- ear flicks
- tail swishes
- mouth flaps (with dialogue on the bottom if you want)
- waving hand
- hair flowing
- leg swish (like if the character is sitting on a ledge or something)
- or basically anything involving only one body part moving
I just dont know if anyone would be interested in this thing cause animations arent something I like to post on here, cause everytime I do the thumbs ends up looking like oatmeal vomit and it makes me want to delete it x_x I tried everything and I dont know how to fix it. If i do take commissions like this, I probably wont post the animation here (just a frame of it) but you'll be able to view it on my Deviantart or Tumblr. (you can find my more complex/better animations on there or on my youtube)
The BASE price (no animation) would probably be $90 for one character and a simple bg. (This is for a fake screenshot style) $50 for each extra character. Then added animation would tack on a bit more to that price.
So yeah, just want to know if theres anyone out there interested in this type of thing x'D If not, then maybe I wont do it ahah.

A Clarification on Commissions
Posted 9 years agoSo ahh I noticed I've been getting a buncha emails lately about commissions and I guess I didnt really clarify about them too well on my page. x'D So I'll just try to explain it a bit more here. :'D
---
Basically, commissions are closed indefinitely unless an emergency comes up or if I submit a YCH piece. The reason why I stopped taking normal commissions as I used do is because I wanted more time to work on my own stuff and build my portfolio. I'm trying to take a more professional route with my art and while I love drawing animal and anthro characters and will continue to do so, I dont really want to limit myself to just furry commissions. Its nice as a side hobby/job, but its not really the direction I want my art to take in the long run.
You've probably read before that I'm very open to commercial work. (I think this is what confused a lot of people xD) How commercial commissions differ from regular/private ones is that the person is buying rights to the image, thus giving them the ability to mass produce the art and make profit off of it. Examples could be:
- Logos/graphics/illustrations for a business
- Concept/official artwork for a game/movie/show/story ect.
Because of this, these types of commissions tend to cost a lot more (i usually charge 2 to 3 times my normal prices). They also make nice portfolio pieces and are things I can put on resumes, so I'm pretty partial on taking them. :'D
That being said, there still are ways you can commissions me!
1) I'm receptive to bribery haha. So if you REALLY, really want to commission me, you can bypass my COMMISSIONS ARE CLOSED sign by offering me a price I cant refuse. xD (probably something around the price a commercial commission would cost)
2) One of the reward tiers on my Patreon is that you can commissions me if you pledge $5 or more. You can even get discounts on commissions if you pledge to higher tiers. But its still based on luck if you can grab a slot or not since I only open 1 or 2 slots a month.
---
So I apologize if I made it a bitch to commission me xD But hopefully its understandable! ;u;

I'm Back!
Posted 9 years agoIf you didnt know, I was away for about 2 weeks taking a Nickelodeon Pitching Class in Monterey Bay and it was AWESOME!!! I usually dont talk about my personal/travel stories on here cause a lot of them are boring lol, but this one was too cool not to share, plus I feel like some of you might be interested in this sorta thing xD
I dormed with a friend from my college who also got into the program (there were only 3 of us from my college that got in xD) and I also met a high school friend who I havent seen in 6 years who also got in, so that was pretty cool! Basically the premise of the class was to create a TV show pitch for Nickelodeon in 2 weeks. We got split into teams of 3 and we each had to come up with an animated tv show idea based off of random themes assigned to us (so we couldnt go into the class with an idea already in mind). My theme was "disguises" btw lol. There were also different 'jobs' assigned to our themes, like someone would be assigned character designer with a red color on their tag for example. So we had to find people with different colors from us to work together. In a nutshell, our tv show idea was about a trio of bugs who solve problems together and run a fruit juice stand. We..we had really wierd themes that didnt connect at all xD But we made it work! Dont think it will get picked up though but its the experience that matters haha.
Anyways I REALLY really enjoyed this experience a lot ;u; We had to work REALLY long hours tho cause we had to get this thing done in such a short time, so I literally had NO TIME to work on anything else. x_x The living standards there I would give a 6/10 haha but no one really cared cause everyone was super lovely and we were pretty much a big happy family xD My teammates were really chill and cool, and we actually heard that we were the chillest out of all the groups cause we barely argued at all lol (arguing and tension is natural during these things haha). The guest artists from Nick and our teachers were also super cool, friendly and helpful. <3 I also learned all the in and outs of how cartoon ideas get pitched and then get developed into actual TV shows, so if you're interested in this sorta thing feel free to ask me stuff cause I'm like a fountain of knowledge right now. xD Nickelodeon also gave us a lot of cool presents too haha. I would totally do this again but unfortunately they wont be having this program next year D: But we will be having a reunion at CTN (Creative Talent Network) in November so I'll defs be trying to go to that. :D I still dont know if I can post the artwork I did for my pitch here yet, but maybe later on!
I'm still trying to figure out my life right now so it'll take me a bit to get back to working again. But I'll for sure start catching up on things soon! haha

Will be studying abroad for 2 weeks!
Posted 9 years agoWell not exactly studying abroad since its still in the same country, but its still far away from where I live haha xD
I got accepted into Nickelodeon's TV show pitching class at CSU summer arts! From what I heard it was really competitive to get in (since there were only 30 people chosen) so getting chosen is pretty assuring that perhaps I dont suck that hard at art as I originally thought lmao xD
Basically we'll be taught by guest artists that work at Nick and collaborating with other artists to create a pitch for a theoretical animated tv show. Should be a fun experience!
I'll be up in Monterey Bay from July 11-24 (about 2 weeks) But I'll be leaving earlier on July 9th. Its the first time I'll be studying somewhere far away from home, which is something I've been wanting/needing to do, since i feel like i need to experience things outside more haha. Since the workload will be pretty hefty, I probably wont be online that much, so if it seems like I'm being a bit too quiet for those 2 weeks you'll know why. xD I can still answer messages but I wont be posting anything new or work on commissions till I get back.
So yeah with that I'll see y'all later! :D

Looking to Commission!
Posted 9 years agoFor the past few days I've been trying to find people to commission, since summertime is usually the time of year where i feel less guilty for buying fun stuff (things i dont need to survive lol) and what I really like to buy for fun is art of my characters! I have a LOT of ideas for situations and scenes of a LOT of my characters that I know I will never get to and I'd really like to see them come alive! I also like to help out my fellow artists too. ;P So I'm trying to find artists who I think can interpret them the best! Its really hard for me to find artists to commission (usually the ones i want to commission badly either dont take them or their slots fill up in like 10 seconds) so I'll try this out! Plus this helps me discover new artists too :D
Since this is FA and a good majority of the people here are commissioners and not artists, I'd like some recommendations from you of artists you've had the pleasure of commissioning! Sometimes I get paranoid of who i commission (i have trust issues |D) so that helps me feel more reassured when i commission. xD
Thing is I dont really have too many anthro characters. Most of them are humanoid, at least the ones I use the most. But if i cant resist buying from the artist you recommend to me, I'll probably be able to find someone for them to draw. (i have a pretty diverse arsenal of characters I think - with ferals/anthros/humanoids xD) But if you know any really nice humanoid artists, please send them my way haha <3
If youre curious, this is the list of characters I have that I may ask you to draw: http://draggincatscharacterdatabase.....haracters.html
If you want to recommend yourself and you're willing to take commissions atm leave a comment on this journal with the following and I'll take a look at your work:
-Link to your commission information and prices
-List your strengths. Are you good at humans? Animals? Backgrounds? Anthros? Machines? and ect. You can also list things that you are open to drawing.
-Links to the best examples of your work (i would prefer if some of the examples were commissions so I can see how well you can interpret characters that arent yours)
(keep in mind that I'm more likely to commissions artists with art skills close to or better than mine. Or at least has a style that I think could complement my characters well)
Also please dont feel bad if I dont choose you. Just realise that I only have so much I can spend, so I really want it to be worth it. (being an artist myself im always broke haha) If I had all the money in the world I'd buy everything from every artist, no really im not kidding. If I'm interested, I'll send you (or the artist) a note or email in private!
Just a note: I'll be actively looking everyday throughout the summer, so no rush on trying to get your information to me right away xD

Now using Trello!
Posted 9 years agoWHY DIDNT I USE THIS BEFORE, IT MAKES THINGS SO MUCH EASIER TO KEEP TRACK OF. D:
But anyways this will be the site I'll be using from now to keep track of my to-do list on rather than the old commission queue from my commissioning website. This site is WAAY easier to update fast and check up on, i feel like an idiot for not using it earlier. |D
I'm still trying to figure my way around the site so I havent really put any information of the cards yet, but if you ever want to check your status on your commission or predict how long it might take, check it out here!: https://trello.com/b/Cizapjk7
Its also linked on my profile page :)

YCH Auction Reminder and Deadline Extension!
Posted 9 years agoJust a reminder that I still have a summer themed YCH auction up for grabs! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20084499/ The bidding officially ends tomorrow.
The highest bid atm is $150 :)
I also decided to extend the deadline a few hours so that it ends at 4:00 PM (california time) instead of noon, since I'll be going out for a bit during that time. But yeah other than that change, happy bidding! :D

Streaming (OFFLINE)
Posted 9 years agoBtw, just a little something about why i havent been posting much recently. I'm currently in cram hell right now so I've literally had NO TIME AT ALL to work on commissions, personal art, comics, ect. |D But once this week is over, it should mellow out and I'll start getting back on track with things next week! :)
Anyways! I'm gonna be streaming sketch requests for patrons who show up to the stream. In the meantime I'll be working on a character design project for animal drawing class. I decided to switch up my streaming schedule a bit and decided to start later on a weekday. Not sure how many ppl will show up but I'll try it and see what happens xD
Btw, like last time, don't feel like you'll be distracting me from getting my hw done if you shout out a request, this project is due on Saturday but its relatively simple, so its doable in a few days haha.

Trying to take it easy now
Posted 9 years agoSo I usually dont like to share my life problems over the internet because I dont like to bother others with my issues, but I feel like this is something I need to get off my chest because its really been effecting my mood and my workflow a great deal. So if you dont like to read about moody stuff feel free to ignore this.
So lately I've been overworked and overstressed over these past few weeks and its now starting to effect my health (not just with working on art but with other problems I've had to deal with). Just yesterday I had terrible back pain that was so bad I had to spend half of the day bedridden. I've always had back problems from doing too many things but its never been this bad. Not only that but I've been skipping meals and eating less, thus making me weaker and getting tired faster. Lets not even go into my sleep schedule lol.
Because of this I feel like its making my artwork stagnate in quality. I seem to care more about getting it done within a certain deadline rather than trying new things or work on pushing myself to get better. Its a pretty depressing feeling to me |D
I REALLY DO want to take it easy but my mind just wont allow it. I'm.. I guess what you'd say a workaholic. So anytime I'm not doing anything productive I just feel godawful about myself and whenever I waste too much time I get peeved and annoyed. Basically whenever I'm not working I feel like I'm being lazy and I hate that feeling.
I thought cutting back on classes and commissions would ease my stress but now it just seems that I'm more stressed and anxious than ever. I'm not sure how this happened. o_o
I guess what I'll try to do to cheer myself up is do more experimental and stress relief doodles for myself. But its hard to find time when you're in need of money and need to get other work done within constant deadlines. But I'll try to find some middle ground. Hopefully when summer comes I'll be less stressed out.
Anyways thats just an update on me~
