some changes are coming. it is sad to think literally my entire life is changing. but it is also a good thing. I am finding out a lot of new stuff, learning more about people and myself.
I will not be known as Dillon anymore, and nor am i a duck. i am now a wolf called Rufus.
Its been a long time coming, but change is good. and hard as it is, it is important i learn from it and adapt.

Hi all! So, my journey to sobriety has begun. I spent 5 days sober and then cracked two days ago. However i didnt down the usual 25 units per night as usual! (Thats a whole large bottle of brandys worth of alcohol a night!) I had about 17 units over two days, which for me is great! My bro congatulated me on my first mile stone of having sobriety for nearly a week (after 6 years of drinking with no days off!) So yeah my target is now to reach 7 days sober!
I got the animation program trial version, which means when i render there are watermarks all over it, but my partner is getting me the full version of the animation program for my birthday so i will be able to have a serious play around. Having extra time instead of drink time, mean I can focus on making some NSFW animation YCHs, I already started designing the background for my first short animation. My plan is to really plough into my art and animation to replace drink time, and also to get my creative juices flowing again after 3 years.
Once i get some new content i might even start up some kind of a Kofi, or something, any recommendations ?
So yeah, I guess watch this space. :)

So What's really been going on over the last few years?

Well suffering with Alcoholism is the first issue. I drink alot! But i also work a lot! I am a workoholic just as much as an alchy. But after much councelling, therapies and more i have made some changes and will be making many more! I had 3 businesses, a cafe, a food trailer and a turkish delight company. All of which i am quitting on 31st October :) as of 1st November i am unemployed, except for the fourth cash in hand bar job i do 3 nights a week. I will be going to wales to take it easy, also im gonna visit Russie Bear :D An old friend who happens to also live in wales.
I will be detoxing, attending AA meetings, going excersizing (Roller blading!) , getting back into my artwork and improving my quality of life through Healthier eating, expressing my creativity and so much more! For once in my life i have some perspective, that i am a powerful human being/duck/fox/wolf
and that i can do anything if i put my mind to it!

Wish me luck, if i am not drinking, i am definitely going to be arting. So as of november expect to see alot more from me! :D x

Okay so comparing my art from when i first arrived here, i definitely think i have improved a bit. I am on here fapping alot, but not really arting much due to my new "way more than full time" job and lifestyle, owning a cafe.
Its hard work, and its very long hours. I have learned to do things i could never do before under alot of pressure! It has only been four months and its getting easier, slowly slowly .
Anyway, i digress, I am going to be purging my artwork. if there is anything crap i will be deleting it or moving it too scraps. Additionally, i will be posting artwork a bit more frequently, it seems i have "the bug" again, and i am really starting to enjoy not just creating art, but taking my time with it. I would rush it alot, but the recent Beastars pic i posted is definitely the best i have ever done, as such i want all my work to reflect this quality.

Anyway, this journal may be the most serious thing i ever wrote lol.

I am writing a play for Halloween next year, after the first one receiving such high commendations from local critics, a sequel was a must! I am working at a bar at the moment, looking for a second job tomorrow to help pay bills n stuff! whilst juggling art, social life, planning a wedding and admin/menus for my ad hoc catering business!

So yes as you can see I am busy and not dead. been sketching a lot recently in my animation programme, so expect dribs and drabs, something nice and something shit propably lol :D
