As very few of you know, I recently completed an internship at Cartoon Network. I was an intern on a new animated series called Regular Show. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regular_Show

And why is this of any interest to the general furry population, you ask? Not only are most furs CN and animation fans, but the show is actually starring multiple anthropomorphic characters! Including a lollipop, gumball machine, and starring an anthro blue jay and raccoon named Mordecai and Rigby.

So, please, please! Watch/download/TiVo/record Regular Show's premiere episode tonight at 8:15pm PST! It's hilarious, clever, and everyone works really hard on it, so I'm obligated to pimp, and also cuz I've seen a couple episodes already. :D It's more like an animated live action sitcom than most animated series out there, so I think it'll appeal to people.

*Are you a furry?*
Yep.

No spouse, and I generally date other furries, so yeah. A guy I dated wasn't a furry but knew I was. I have no reason to hide it!

*How long have you been in the community?
Oh, Christ. Let's see... 9 years, maybe?

*How did you find furry?
I had a rather involved fansite for the movie Balto. I was in a chat room with webmasters of other big Balto sites at the time and someone linked a picture to a drawing they did of their fursona. I inquired about what that was, and it was something that seemed to fit me. It felt "right." And the rest is history.

*What's your reason for furry (what interested you to get into the community)?
What's my reason for BEING a furry? Well, I might be a fan of movies, or TV shows, or whatever, but never has a fandom felt more like who I am as a person. I love animals, always have, always will. I can say that to an absolute certainty. And furry fandom never feels stagnant because it's always adopting new people, new art, new everything, constantly.

*What's Furry to you?
Excuse my furfag response, but here goes: furry to me is about feeling connected on a deeper level. Feeling connected to your animal, fursona, and to other furries on a different level of consciousness. It's about having something in common with every other furry right off the bat and not even questioning it.

*If someone found out you're a furry and asked you about it how would you respond?
I always tell them. I have nothing to hide, and it annoys me that people either like to shove it in peoples' faces, or be ashamed of it. For people that ask me about it, I tell them about fursonas and sharing animal art and music with others. If people know about it and ask me about the fursuit sex or whatever, I'll just answer honestly.

*What are your favorite aspects of our community?
The art and the fursuits. There are SO MANY artists out there that are incredible, and range in styles. So much of the art here is professional-grade or even better. I never get tired of it. And I love discovering and concocting new ways to create better fursuits.

*Do you use any furry terms? (i.e. yiff, paws, murr?)
Sure. I'll call something yiff art, scritch someone, talk about a fursuit's paws, but I won't substitute "paws" for "hands" in regular conversation, or anything.

*What do you wish furry was NOT associated with?
Bestiality.

*How strongly do you feel about someone bashing the community as a whole?
Who cares.

*How strongly do you feel about anyone bashing you yourself for your interest based on the media's aspect of what furry is?
I cannot express how little I care about that. Those are the kind of people who don't really know or care to understand what furry is, so why should I even care? It has zero bearing on my activities as a furry.

*We all know furries have a lot of sexual aspects in this fandom, What's your opinion on it?
Furry fandom has more sexual aspects to it than most fandoms. I think it's great, mostly. You can say what you want about that, but I've never seen a fandom that was more open and accepting of every gender, sexuality, and body size.

A wolf, and my male German Shepherd named Skagway.

A few, but nothing really intense. Some bondage, hyper, gender transformation.

I've always been connected to wolves, so yes. But I've never really pondered more deeply than that.

It's forced me to become a better artist. It has found me many friends and taught me I can be myself and don't have to be the social picture of "normal" to be appreciated and accepted. And it makes me feel like I found my perfect little niche in the internet that the rest of the world won't touch with a 10-foot pole.

So, for the first time in, oh, five years or so, I attended Califur. (Actually, I think I went when it was still Confurence. Gosh.) And after hearing about so much of the ridiculousness, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Califur. Was. AWESOME. I had an ABSOLUTE blast, and so did Skagway, heh heh. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get my act together enough to put up more pieces in the art show, but the one I did turn it did get sold, so thank you to those that bid!

Sadly, my fellow cross-suiting furfag  commodoreMarie could not attend with us, as she's sort of the driving force behind me not being a completely lazy ass. But, as always, I attended this con with  mooglepower, aka the coolest fur in fandom, and  wildglitterwolf, aka Kei, who had never experienced furry fandom in real life before!

The three of us got to the hotel sometime around 10 or 11, maybe, and checked in early pretty much right when we got there. I pranced around mostly out of suit, but got into Skagway a few times everyday, and at night to enjoy the dances in suit. I was expecting really crappy dances, but Saturday night especially bumped some AWESOME music. Other highlights included the art show, where I got to see a bunch of awesome art that made me :| about my own in comparison, lol, the dances, the ice cream social (I love my ice cream, damn it), 2 The Ranting Gryphon, and the Cabaret Fur Le Dance, which was one of the most pleasantly surprising events at con. I am SO glad I went, and I can thank my wonderful collie mate  darktakumi for buying me a ticket.

Hung out with a LOT of furs this weekend, and met so many more, so apologies if I'm missing anyone! , , , , Tully, , , Shard Wolf, , and, of course, , , and my collie, . I also got to meet and see some awesome furs I admire like , , , , and Michele Light, among others.

Can't wait for next year's Califur, where I may end up with way more artworks to sell, and I'll see you all at AnthroCon 2009!

So, I finally have enough funds to buy myself a PlayStation 3. And now that I do, I want to be sure I am buying the right one. Basically, I am looking for as much PS1 AND PS2 compatibility as possible. Finding the right system won't be a problem for me.

I read from Wikipedia that the 60GB version of the system is no longer in production, but is the most backward compatible. Is this correct? What is the difference between the PS2 HARDWARE compatibility using the "Emotion Engine" in the 60GB, versus the SOFTWARE compatibility using an emulator in the 80GB and other models? Which of those two is more backwards compatible with more games?

I have come to a dilemma. Further Confusion is my first furry con in years, and is less than a month away. With the date approaching, I am working hard and fast on my fursuit to try and get Skagway finished. However, having realized I am short on funds to pay for a hotel room (home base for suiting!), I finally opening myself up to real commissions.

I am offering ten slots of a medium-sized, completely digital drawing of one chibi-ish character for $10 each. An example would be my chibi Bolt drawing. It can be any species, any gender, and can even be cub. You can choose from cel, regular, or no shading. Sadly, I can't offer fanart. I will promise to do my best to get these done as quickly as I can.

If ordering a commission, you will receive a watermarked version of the picture for approval, and the full drawing posted on FA after payment.
