Been a while hasn't it?
General | Posted 4 years agoIt's been a long time since I've posted a journal here. It's been so long, in fact, that the format of the site has changed even having a more mobile friendly version.
I know I like a lot of art and have been sharing recent commissions, but anymore I'm just more withdrawn lately. I tried being more energetic years ago when I first joined but I've realized I'm more of an introvert than anything and I'm really socially awkward.
In the past few years I've gone through depressive spirals (thankfully nothing serious), but I have gotten help and my mental health is definitely improving along with my relationships with close friends in other communities. I've also gotten a new job recently as well.
I'm hoping to be more frequent with journals, but I'm just content with keeping a lot of personal stuff to myself. There'll be the occasional update from time to time, but I'm not really the person to just put everything out there all the time. I usually keep that for one on one discussions.
Thanks for reading.

Back from Louisville
General | Posted 9 years agoWell I am back from botcon and I have a great haul and had a lot of fun.
But first and unfortunately this is THE LAST Botcon, 22 years of it since 94 and it's coming to a close. Fun Publications is losing the license New Years Eve and no one knows what the future holds yet. You could tell the folks at fun pub are broken hearted that this is happening the owner and the PR guy were tearing up during the last panel of the show.
On a lighter note, got to meet some awesome people, I finally got to meet stan bush, who wrote and performed the touch and dare from the original movie, as well as others, check him out you won't be disappointed. I also met venus terzo the voice of blackarachnia and greg berger the voice of grimlock, as well ad judd nelson, yes the voice of hot rod and john bender in the breakfast club, couldn't get an autograph though, he was just in the elevator for a moment and was rushing to get to the VIP thing.
We took our friend from the UK, wwhich this was his first time in the US, to Joe's Crab Shack and he went all out getting the lobster steam pot, it was great.
One bad thing though, on saturday while going to the dealer room, i noticed i lost my debit card so i had to call and have that card blocked....soooo.....no spending on saturday and sunday, that sucked
But overall it was a great time and I hope something comes in the future maybe my buddies and i can just go to an anime con and hang out for a few days, because thats what it's all about, not the toys, but your friends, and the community and you all have the same interest, plastic robots

louisville kentucky here i come!!
General | Posted 10 years agoThat's right i'm going to Louisville KY at the beginning of April, same reason as why I went to Pasadena two years ago....BOTCON 2016, celebrating 20 years of Beast Wars, unfortunately this MAY be THE LAST Botcon brought to us by Fun Publications, as their license expires this year, which sucks big time.
For those who like beast wars or grew up with it the set is the tripredacus council being seaclamp, ramhorn, and cicadacon, as well as secret police member turantulas, and covert agent ravage, they form the mighty predacus. Also the free attending figure is terrasaur or terrorsaur (however it is pronounced). No idea what the other souvenirs are but there is a big hint at a new incarnation of the beast wars megatron as a two headed dragon
For guests this year, there are Venus Terzo who voiced Blackarachnia, David Kaye, voice of BW Megatron as well as Megatron through the Unicron trilogy, and animated Optimus Prime, Greg Berger voice of G1 Grimlock, and Judd Nelson voice of G1 Movie Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime and Animated Rodimus, as well as John Bender from the Breakfast Club.
We were to also have Alec Willows, voice of turantulas but he had something come up, a theater gig I think, also Scott McNiel who voices many anime characters and the beast wars characters: Silverbolt, Dinobot, Rattrp, and Waspinator, again something personal came up and he can't attend.
Otherwise this looks to be a lot of fun again, I'll be rooming with a lot of the same people I roomed with last time along with a friend from the UK and a big time toy reviewer.
I am looking forward to this con, if you're a fan let me know maybe we can meet and hang some! ^.^
