Internship at 3FM
Posted 15 years agoWell, it's the time at school that everyone faces once in his life, the time that you have to become an intern.
I've applied to, and have gotten the internship spot at my favourite dutch radiostation, 3FM :D. You guys might know them for what made them known over the world, Serious Request.
I'm having my internship there as web developer, and will be working on their main site 3fm.nl and also on their sites for the coming events like Pink Pop
I'm so happy with this internship :D
Also, any dutchfurs in the neighbourhood of Hilversum? If you're interested in meeting me, send me a note :) this friendly dragon would enjoy meeting more fellow dutchfurs

● I died:
● I kissed you:
● I fell:
● I lived next door to you:
● I showed up at your house unexpectedly:
● I stole something:
● I was murdered:
● I cried:
● I asked you to marry me:
● I was hospitalized:
~Would you~
● Trust me enough to sleep in the same bed as me?
● Keep a secret if i told you one?
● Hold my hand?
● Study with me?
● Cook for me?
● Love me?
● Date me?
● Have sex with me?
~More ~
● When and how did we meet?
● Describe me in three words.
● What was your first impression of me?
● What do you think of me now?
● What reminds you of me?
● Could you see us together forever?
● When's the last time you saw me?
● Are you gonna re-post this to see what I say about you?

I'm a one, an INTP and a Plant - Personality tests
Posted 15 years agoHelp eachother to get to know eachother
I'm a one
you chose CZ - your Enneagram type is ONE (aka "The Reformer").
"I do everything the right way"
Perfectionists are realistic, conscientious, and principled.
They strive to live up to their high ideals.
How to Get Along with Me
• Take your share of the responsibility so I don't end up with all the work.
• Acknowledge my achievements.
• I'm hard on myself. Reassure me that I'm fine the way I am.
• Tell me that you value my advice.
• Be fair and considerate, as I am.
• Apologize if you have been unthoughtful. It will help me to forgive.
• Gently encourage me to lighten up and to laugh at myself when I get uptight, but hear my worries first.
What I Like About Being a ONE
• being self-disciplined and able to accomplish a great deal
• working hard to make the world a better place
• having high standards and ethics; not compromising myself
• being reasonable, responsible, and dedicated in everything I do
• being able to put facts together, coming to good understandings, and figuring out wise solutions
• being the best I can be and bringing out the best in other people
What's Hard About Being a ONE
• being disappointed with myself or others when my expectations are not met
• feeling burdened by too much responsibility
• thinking that what I do is never good enough
• not being appreciated for what I do for people
• being upset because others aren't trying as hard as I am
• obsessing about what I did or what I should do
• being tense, anxious, and taking things too seriously
ONEs as Children Often
• criticize themselves in anticipation of criticism from others
• refrain from doing things that they think might not come out perfect
• focus on living up to the expectations of their parents and teachers
• are very responsible; may assume the role of parent
• hold back negative emotions ("good children aren't angry")
ONEs as Parents
• teach their children responsibility and strong moral values
• are consistent and fair
• discipline firmly
INTPs are pensive, analytical folks. They may venture so deeply into thought as to seem detached, and often actually are oblivious to the world around them.
Precise about their descriptions, INTPs will often correct others (or be sorely tempted to) if the shade of meaning is a bit off. While annoying to the less concise, this fine discrimination ability gives INTPs so inclined a natural advantage as, for example, grammarians and linguists.
INTPs are relatively easy-going and amenable to almost anything until their principles are violated, about which they may become outspoken and inflexible. They prefer to return, however, to a reserved albeit benign ambiance, not wishing to make spectacles of themselves.
A major concern for INTPs is the haunting sense of impending failure. They spend considerable time second-guessing themselves. The open-endedness (from Perceiving) conjoined with the need for competence (NT) is expressed in a sense that one's conclusion may well be met by an equally plausible alternative solution, and that, after all, one may very well have overlooked some critical bit of data. An INTP arguing a point may very well be trying to convince himself as much as his opposition. In this way INTPs are markedly different from INTJs, who are much more confident in their competence and willing to act on their convictions.
Mathematics is a system where many INTPs love to play, similarly languages, computer systems--potentially any complex system. INTPs thrive on systems. Understanding, exploring, mastering, and manipulating systems can overtake the INTP's conscious thought. This fascination for logical wholes and their inner workings is often expressed in a detachment from the environment, a concentration where time is forgotten and extraneous stimuli are held at bay. Accomplishing a task or goal with this knowledge is secondary.
INTPs and Logic -- One of the tipoffs that a person is an INTP is her obsession with logical correctness. Errors are not often due to poor logic -- apparent faux pas in reasoning are usually a result of overlooking details or of incorrect context.
Plant
Plants are creative, unorthodox and a generator of ideas. If an innovative solution to a problem is needed, a Plant is a good person to ask. A good plant will be bright and free-thinking. Plants can tend to ignore incidentals and refrain from getting bogged down in detail. The Plant bears a strong resemblance to the popular caricature of the absent-minded professor/inventor, and often has a hard time communicating ideas to others.

The Journals of Andromeda's Way - And there was androway
Posted 16 years agoWell this is it, the official start of project androway. We've been working on the project a bit longer though, but that was primarily research and some basic POC code.
I must admit that when I look at the whole project, I'm a bit scared about the size and complexity of the code behind it.
But when I look at the projectmembers, and the determination they have of helping me realise this, I regain the faith in myself, and I know I won't let them or you down.
Andromeda's Way is going to be created, and it's gonna rock!
I'm going to write these journal's while I'm making Andromeda's Way. It will give you some insight in the game, and it's creators.
Don't forget to comment, and definitely send in suggestions to ideas@androway.com!

New Project: Andromeda's Way
Posted 16 years agoAndromeda's Way
An introduction
Andromeda's Way is a Sci-Fi MMORPG/RTS, lead and designed by DaveC, that
is set to be completed by mid to late 2011. Currently this project is still in the
beginning phase, and suggestions are very much welcomed.
The main story of the game is set over 3 billion years into the future, when the
Andromeda galaxy and the Milky Way collide, causing the merge that makes a
whole new galaxy called Andromeda's Way.
Andromeda's Wake - The Themesong as composed by
Foxamoore
The story
Knowledge… The essence that gives everything it’s meaning. Devastating
Wars were fought over the gaining or proving of knowledge. Billions of years of
knowledge in the fields of theoretical and practical sciences, but now… It all
has changed… It was but a natural event that caused it all to happen.
The neighboring Andromeda galaxy had collided with the Milky Way,
causing the destruction of nearly the whole galactic civilization; this was the
time when nearly all knowledge was lost…
Star Charts that once were accurate to the asteroid were no longer accurate;
History that had been greatly admired and respected had melted into myth, or
was long forgotten; Humans, who had once been the proudest race of all, had the
worst societal collapse ever recorded.
As once proposed by the prophets on Chaksilla;
“Kokuska opsoe ni’ lsopa Vigrodal islowa rydho sistellian.”
this of which translated to;
“‘Life is the stage of judgment. When we have found our purpose, we will
be swept to the next.’”
Unfortunately these predictions, although accurate in spiritual sense,
were not enough to save the incredible amount of lives from complete
annihilation.

Internetradio =)
Posted 16 years agoI've set up an internetradio for someone and I'll be dj-ing on it myself too =) I myself will primarily be doing techno/trance. If you want, I can play your music on it and make references to you =3 just send me a note, and I'll give you the location to where you can upload them.
I'll be posting the information to how you can listen to the radio soon.
And to those with awesome songs out there who I happen to come across, I'll send you a note asking your permission before I will play it on the radio.

Spice and Wolf
Posted 16 years agoSomething definitely worth sharing with you all. For every anime-fan who reads this, and doesn't know this series yet. Spice and Wolf is a good written, very romantic anime.
Spice and Wolf's story revolves around Kraft Lawrence, a twenty-five-year-old traveling merchant who peddles various goods from town to town to make a living in a stylized historical setting with European influences.[6] His main goal in life is to gather enough money to start his own shop, and he already has been traveling for seven years while gaining experience in the trade. One night when stopped at the town of Pasroe, he finds in his wagon a pagan wolf-deity girl named Holo who is over six hundred years old. She appears to be a fifteen-year-old girl, except for a wolf's tail and ears. She introduces herself as the town's goddess of harvest, who has kept it blessed with good harvests of wheat for many years. Despite having the responsibility to watch over the town, she wants to go back to her homeland in the north called Yoitsu; she believes the people have already forsaken her and that she has kept her promise to maintain the good harvests. Holo wants also to travel to see how the world has changed while she has remained in one place for years. She manages to bargain her way out of the village by making a deal with Lawrence to take her with him. As they travel, her wisdom helps increase his profits, but at the same time, her true nature draws unwanted attention from the church. Throughout the novels, the two slowly fall in love.

I don't know the manga, but I bet it is worth reading too.

At it again, instantfave.com
Posted 16 years agoYes I am, I'm working on another site. Instantfave.com (for the time being, the domain is going to point towards tundrafoxeh.com, as I dont even have my own site up yet). Please comment on this what your idea of a site around this domain would be. If I like your idea, its going to be incorporated, and you will be invited to closed beta-testing. Please spread the word!
I'm going to post those who have good ideas about this domain right here:
fur_gir - He gave me the idea of registering instantfave.com, much kudo's to him =)
Currently instantfave.com is in a very rough fase of planning what functions
it will have, creating a todo list, and writing the initial framework around which
the whole site will be build.
I currently have written the usersystem (registration, password-forget, edit-profile, login/logout)
Question: Should I provide integration with services like twitter, gravatar etc? If so, which ones?
%description of what instantfave.com will be will soon be posted here%

Andromeda's Way
Posted 16 years agoA bit of background on my work-in-progress Andromeda's Way.
This story has been thought up, and worked out by me and a good friend.
We thought it up when discussing the beauty of the universe. And during
this conversation we talked about how Andromeda and the Milky Way will
once meet.
One of our questions to eachother was how the newly formed
galaxy would be called. The name we came up with is an obvious
combination of Andromeda and Milky Way, but it actually sounded
quite good.
The rest well just came on its own. After some thinking,
and writing, we produced Andromeda's Way, the prologue.

The making of: tundrafoxeh.com
Posted 16 years agoI'm going to do write a journal for every project I do. Tundrafoxeh.com being the first.
Well, after quite some time it's finally (at the time of writing: nearly) finished. A lot of work,
but overall not very difficult, except for the paypal integration part. I was busy for 3 days to
get that properly working.
The functions of the site are actually quite simple, a simple editable homepage and portfolio,
and a section with all the albums.
The section albums is the interesting section (from coding perspective), here you can either
browse the albums in which some albumart, a small description, and a list of songs is found,
or add the whole album to your cart. In the album you can also listen to a preview of the song.
In the upper-right corner of your screen is the shoppingcart, here you can see how many items
you already have in there, and by clicking on its link, you can browse the items, delete them
from your cart, or proceed to checkout.
After you've paid for the songs via paypal, you get redirected to a page where you can download
your songs in a zipped file, they are ordered on albumname/songname.mp3 and there is a file
called COPYRIGHT.txt in which you can find that the song is copyrighted by tundrafox1.
The whole site can be controlled via the controlpanel which is used to upload the pictures, and songs.
Via here you can also manage the albums, assign art and songs to them, delete them, unpublish them,
publish them, etc. This system is meant to be userfriendly, and usable by even the most computer-illiterate
person, that's why it also has small tutorials about how to use every function.
Eventhough the content of the website is copyrighted by the owner, the copyright of the system goes to me,
and the copyright of the design goes to my designer (or the owner if he decides to do it him/herself).
If you are interested of having a site of your own as well, you can contact me on here, and I will see
what I can do. Just contact me with a detailed list of what functions the website should have, and
how it should look like.
http://www.tundrafoxeh.com/ is where the site's at.
Note: at time of writing this, the site is still under construction, I will update this as soon as I bring
the site online.
