Anyway, I have one or two more pieces for this year... as well as artwork of a new character I picked up from
megan who I decided to name Xenodar. He's a big, very angry, haughty and outright mean space invader alien dragon. I decided to park him here to keep things manageable. I hope you enjoy the artwork of him as well. :)

Posted 9 years agoPaypal been pretty much smooth and direct for the past few years or so, but this quarter seems to have a number of issues all bumped up back to back.
Well, it took a few days to fix the last problem of currency conversion and now we have another one another.
I cannot send payments to certain addresses as the website would error out with a statement "We can't send your payment right now." Worse of all, it works fine for regular payments and I checked with a friend who can send money to that address without the error message.
They really need to be less opaque about their bizarre error messages. :(

Paypal's sneaky foreign currency shenanigans
Posted 9 years agoJust a week ago, Paypal invalidated a few cards I used with it and asked me to re-verify them. Sure I thought it was a small security check and that just took a few days.
Then starting this week, Paypal payments no longer respects the "Bill me in the currency stated" option and forces their own terrible foreign conversion rate and probably incur another a Dynamic currency conversion (DCC) fee on my bank to boot. :(

Posted 9 years agoAfter quite a lot of table flips, I am finally back on track to attend Anthrocon 2016 this year, followed by a much needed trip further up into Canada for a longer vacation. Please be sure to turn off your Kaiju alerts to avoid antagonizing stressed out dragons into further rampages!

Posted 10 years agoTime flies by so quickly, it is now one month to go before I head once again to the world's largest furry convention Anthrocon, which is almost 10,000 miles away for me. I haven't been there for the past couple of years and I look forward to seeing folks at the con once again!

Life, or in particular work, has been overwhelming emotionally lately and I feel like I have drained myself dry of the vast majority of positive emotions in real person to person interactions (online doesn't quite count as it's easier to control some emotions via an asynchronous medium). I'm not sure if it is contributing to my increasing disengagement from social circles and the things that were once fun, or is it just amplifying some very dark thoughts deeper within either.
Urgh, I really need to find a way and figure out how to let it go.

Godzilla (2014) in iMax... (NO SPOILERS)
Posted 11 years agoJust a word of advice for the budget conscious: It really isn't worth your money to catch it in iMax.
The Hobbit:Desolation of Smaug and Pacific Rim managed to strike a balance of 3D action and sense of scale, but for Godzilla (2014)? Nope! Just go with 3D or regular 2D.

A strategy Kaiju game kickstarter... & a macro shirt link!
Posted 11 years agoFinally, a strategy Kaiju game that I have seen concepts for in the past but none have actually made it in production!
The gist of the proposed game plays like a reverse XCOM in isometric view. You play as a Mad Scientist ™ who has grown a first Kaiju and you're trying to destroy/take over the world before your rivals do... instead of saving it from pesky aliens.
A little downside seems to be that the monsters seem pretty much fixed at this point, and the price point for a custom one (complete with mad scientist) is a bit too high to afford. D:
Either way though, please help kickstart if you are like me, looking towards this kind of strategy smash-the-city and grow your monster game!

Posted 12 years agoI know it is pretty early for most, but it is time for this dragon to plan to go to a fur con... Currently, AC and EF are my prime options but the price for getting to the former is really steep and the later is in a part of the year which schedules are really tight for me.
