Don't worry, I still scour.
General | Posted 13 years agoYes, I might have not posted pretty pictures in a while but I never left this site.
I doubt anyone missed me anyways hahaha!
To the people that did notice a lack of a certain owl in a vest, don't fret! I never left ;)
Maybe one day I will post more pretty pictures, but until then I will be stalking your profiles.

General | Posted 13 years agoSo, I am updating my reference sheet for Hermes.
To check for common colors on male Burrowing Owls, I entered the world of Wikipidia.
While reading about the Burrowing Owl's traits I come across this:
"As a size comparison, an average adult is slightly larger than an American Robin (Turdus migratorius)."
So then I am very skeptical about it and search up for pictures of people holding burrowing owls. They are... adorably small.
I mean, I knew they were small, but it just keeps surprising me!
But hey, like
RentRunner once pointed out, I can still tower over pygmy owls!

General | Posted 13 years agoI noticed something strange today.
Although I can count my watchers on one hand, I can still see a pattern in the species.
They're all burds.
As I mentioned in my previous Journal, I used to be an arctic fox and had an account for my character on FA.
Guess what family of species my watchers consisted of: Canines.
This leads me to believe that there are many sides of FA hidden from us.
Pages that I will never see because my FA will always be limited to birds.
I am stuck in bird limbo...

Off to a good start!
General | Posted 13 years agoI can't say I am new to FA.
I had a previous account in which I was an arctic fox. It was horrible.
Foxes are nice and all, but I just didn't feel a connection to my character.
Parting from my fursona was a painful process full of questions like: Is this allowed? Will others hate me for this? Who am I?
Then, Hermes happened. I now feel much more comfortable calling one of my characters my "fursona."
Burrowing owls were always my favorite, and owls in general are so fun to draw!
Since I made this new account I've had a great time. Talking to other burds is really fun to!
So, thanks for watching me; it makes me love Hermes even more and it assures me that I did the right thing!
