After much consideration and thought, I decided to give my character, Roxy Raccoon, her own FA account. It's not much right now, but it will grow!

Home Again From MFF!
Posted 14 years agoHey gang, your old pal the Canadian dingo here!
Well, I just got back from MFF yesterday, and I had a blast! It was good seeing old friends and meeting new ones, and I also got to do quite a handful of fursuiting at the con, especially as Roxy Raccoon. Not only did she wander around the con space and delight everyone with her cute little chattering sounds, but she also did a number in the Furry Variety Show, which despite a few little mishaps, went pretty well. I wanted to get some professional pics of her done at the con, but I never did. Anyways, if anyone has any pics or video of Roxy, please let me know. I would like to give a warm thank you to
sophiecabra for making this six year dream a reality! I couldn't have been happier with this suit.
I did manage to make a trip to other parts of the city, but not up to Clark/Lake like I had hoped. Nevertheless, at least I got to explore Chicago a little bit. Next year though, I'm going to see if I can devote a good chunk of the day to this. I love sight seeing!
I would also like to thank
lilchiwolf and
tyzin for letting me help with their music video shoot and for those awesome room parties. If you guys can touch base with me in regards to the other footage you want me to include in the video when I edit it, that would be great.
Thirdly, I would also like to thank
horlequism for being such a wonderful roommate and a good friend. You need to hear some music that my father did when he was still living in Germany. There are so many others that I would like to thank, but half the time, I tend to forget who they are. I also did some art for the con book, and I'm very happy that it got used. It is truly awesome to have my art featured in print again!
Anyways, it was quite an enjoyable experience and I am definitely looking forward to next year's con. Chicago is a wonderful city to visit and I can't wait to go back! So until next time, this is Danny Dingo signing off. Take care, bye bye!

THE GREAT MFF 2011 MEME!
Posted 14 years agoWhere are you staying?
The Hyatt, where else?
What day are you getting there and what day are you leaving?
Arriving tomorrow (Nov. 17) and going home on Monday (Nov. 21)
Who will you be with?
I will be with lots of people. I tend to mingle quite a bit at cons, although I do wander by myself quite a lot. It's just hard to tell, really.
How old are you?
23
How tall are you?
5'11"
What do you look like?
I have long shaggy hair, which I sometimes wear in a ponytail, a goatee and I have an average build.
What do you prefer to be called?
Just Dingo is fine, or if you prefer, you may call me Danny D. (you can thank
lilifox for that - I'm now 20% cooler!)
Will you have any fursuits?
Yes I will! I'm bringing Danny with me and I will have a new fursuit, Roxy Raccoon there, too, although she will have a bit of a tint than how I previously depicted her in my artwork. She will be performing a wooing song in the Variety Show this year.
Can I talk to you?
I'm a little shy around people, but sure, if you want.
Can I take pictures with you?
You are more than welcome to!
Are you nice?
I try to be, as long as you're nice to me.
Are you cliquey?
Nah, why would I be? I love being around people.
Can I stalk you?
As long as it's not in a creepy kind of way, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Can I buy you lots of drinks?
If it's yoohoo, YES PLEASE! If it's alcohol, no more than three regular sized bottles please. I do not wish to get drunk at this con and I am a seldom drinker, so yeah.
Can I hug or snuggle you?
Hugs when I am in suit are fine and recommended. Snuggles, I don't know, only if I know you well.
What should I not do around you?
Don't glomp on me, unless you ask me first. Also, if you're going to be around me for an extended period of time, please shower (but don't wear cologne; I can't stand the smell). Also, if you come into my room, please keep your clothes on and don't act weird around me. In general, when you're around me, please behave yourself.
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
Just holler and mention my name. I may respond, I may not. I have a short attention span so you may have to say my name a few times before I finally respond.

MFF and Stuff!
Posted 14 years agoHey gang!
Well, the con is only two days away and let's see, I have a lot of high hopes for this year's MFF. First and foremost, I will have a new fursuit after five long years of my character, Roxy Raccoon. Just one thing though: if you've been watching my artwork, you'll notice a bit of a change in how she looks when you see her at the con. Well, she has decided that she wants to look more distinguished, so she has dyed her fur purple as seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6846241/ I also think it is a nice change for her. I will be bringing Danny as well, so you may see him run around a bit, too. And yes, you will see Roxy in the Variety Show this year.
I'm also going to be helping
lilchiwolf film some stuff for a music video that she wants to do and she is looking for fursuiters to take part in it, so if you'd like to be in it, be sure to meet us at the front doors on the main level after the fursuit parade on Saturday. It should be lots of fun! I would also like to try and explore the city more. Chicago is a beautiful place and I love the atmosphere of the city.
Anyways, I am definitely looking forward to this con and I hope to see some familiar faces and meet some new people along the way. I am very friendly and I love hanging out with people, so don't be afraid to come and say hi.
On that note, who all will I see there?

Have you ever really thought about all the things you've done in fursuit? Here's a list of questions to help you figure out just how much fursuiting you've engaged in ;3
No rules (apart from having fursuited at one point or another), just answer the questions any way you'd like!
Posed in front of a mirror?
Yes. It often helps me to develop my character better.
Been shopping/to a supermarket/store in fursuit?
Nope. I wouldn't dare to unless they were holding a special event (with their consent, of course).
Been group suiting?
I sure have. I love fursuiting with other people. It's a lot more fun that way.
Ever put on your fursuit for no reason and worn it for an extended period of time?
Nope, although sometimes I do like to wear it just for fun.
Have you walked around your hometown in fursuit?
If you count Camp Day at Tim Horton's and at the local Lions Park for a Summer's End Festival, then yes.
Fursuited in a different state?
A few of them, yes.
In a different country?
Other than the U.S. (I'm Canadian, in case you didn't know), no, though I would love to go to Eurofurence within the next couple years or so.
Fursuited at a con? If so, how many times?
Of course I have. I suit at various times throughout the con, so it's quite hard to keep count.
Drank in fursuit?
If you count water and Gatorade, then yes. Otherwise, no. I wouldn't dare to have a drink in suit, especially when I suit for children as well.
Eaten something?
Not that I know of.
Put on someone else's fursuit?
I sure have and would love to do that even more. I always like to experiment with different character personalities and apply them to my own characters.
Ruined the magic in public?
I try not to, but sometimes it happens.
Gone to a furmeet in suit?
Many times.
Been in a moving car while in suit?
Yes.
Been glomped while in suit?
I think I might have been a few times.
Glomped someone while in suit?
Not that I can remember.
Made a child smile?
It's what I like doing best. See below for a short story about how much I love to please kids.
Danced?
Yep. Music is my life, baby!
Been in a fursuit dance competition?
Nope.
Done something that attracted a large group of people while in suit?
Well, there was one time when I did an appearance at a local mall for a Santa's Arrival event where I fell onto the floor, and these parents were telling their kids to help me back up, so I turned it into a game where I'd stand up as the kids are helping me up and then falling back down again, and the kids all loved it.
Experienced a hater?
Not really.
Longest time in fursuit? (what counts as being in suit is up to you)
Usually I'd go no more than four hours in suit (which includes breaks).
And finally...
Most memorable moment in fursuit?
This:
It's a day that I will never forget!
So, how about you folks?

Posted 14 years agoHiya folks!
First off, I would just like to say that I just got back from Anthrocon on Monday and I must say, it was a real blast, despite running around like a headless chicken trying to get the material I need for those projects I was working on there (filming of shows for
semjay,
alkali and
jr5150 for tentative DVD releases). Aside from that, I actually took the time to explore the downtown core of Pittsburgh; something I wish I could have done in previous years, but yeah. I even took the subway down to South Hills Village, which is a shopping mall on the outskirts of Pittsburgh and bought some musical treasures there. I also made my usual trips to Eide's Entertainment where I bought the Sundazed reissue of the Trashmen's "Surfin' Bird" seven inch, which actually sounds very good for its age.
I didn't really get to suit much, though. I only brought Danny to the con, mainly because it was the only suit that I could fit into my luggage (hey, I brought three cameras, my DVD recorder, some tripods and a whole bunch of cables and tapes). For those of you wondering about Mac Cat, no worries, I have not retired the character. The suit just needs some fixing up and hopefully within the next year or so, he'll be back and groovin' the streets once again. But anyways, I would like to thank everyone who rooted for me the times when I was in suit, whether it be in the masquerade, in the parade, at
chillymouse's fursuit figure drawing class or just lurking around the con space. Also, if you have any pics of me in suit or sketches from the fursuit figure drawing class, please make sure you send them my way.
In conclusion, I can only say that Anthrocon was surely a pleasant experience for me and the best one thus far. I know there were a few hiccups here and there, but it all worked out in the end. If everything goes well on my end, I'll see you all at Midwest Furfest with a certain raccoon that will soon enter the real world. So, in the words of the late Kerry Decker, this is Danny Dingo, thanking you for your time, this time until next time, I will see you all again real soon. Take care, my minions!

Posted 14 years agoWhere will you be?
Everywhere. I tend to wander quite a lot at cons.
How long will you be there?
Departing Wednesday, arriving home Monday
Where are you staying?
Hampton Inn
Who will you be with?
Anybody that I am able to hang out with, though I'm working on some projects with
jr5150,
semjay and
alkali at the con. Oh, and I will also be a model at
chillymouse's fursuit figure drawing panel.
Do you fursuit?
Why wouldn't I? It's the main reason I go to cons.
Do you do free art?
Nope
Do you do trades?
Not right now
Parties?
Eh, not much of a party person, but you can invite me if you want!
Do you do commissions?
Trying to, but not at this con
How can I keep track of you?
The best way to keep track of me would be on Twitter: DannyDingo88
Do you have prints/CDs?
Nope
Do you do badges?
Not bringing art supplies, so I'm afraid not
Will you have art in the Art Show? General or Adult sections?
Nope
What is your gender?
Um, last time I checked, it turns out that I am male.
Are you taken? Are you looking for a 'mate'?
Single and currently not looking
Can I touch you?
Hugs when I am in suit and handshakes are fine, but other than that, I'd say not, unless you're a good friend and that it's not in a creepy kind of way.
Can I touch your friends?
What the hell is that supposed to mean?
Can I talk about/do drugs in front of you?
Please don't. If you want to do that shit, do it when I'm not around.
Can I invite you out for food/fun/etc?
Oh yes, please do! I always enjoy going out with friends and making new ones.
Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
Only if you're invited.
Can I talk to you?
Of course! Like I said, I always enjoy hanging out with old friends and meeting new ones.
Can I give you stuff?
As long as it's in good taste, sure.

Now, my little minions, go to her page and say, "HEY, I WANT A PEEKING ICON TOO!" Go, go, GO!
And if she asks, tell her ol' Danny Dingo sent ya!

Need a room and a ride for AC!
Posted 14 years agoUPDATE (4/28/11): Room and ride found! Thanks guys!
Hiya folks!
I'm still contemplating going to Anthrocon this year but I'm in kind of a bind right now. I got a couple offers for room space, but they kind of fell through and with the hotels being full, I was wondering if anybody is still looking for another roommate. I am quiet, friendly, hygienic, not a smoker and I barely drink.
I am also looking for a ride to and from the con. I pack lightly: a hockey bag for my fursuits and a suitcase, and I'm willing to chip in for gas and for my share of the room. I would prefer meeting up in Toronto somewhere for the ride (not very many people know where Hagersville is and it would probably be easier this way). So, anybody willing to lend a hand?

FCN 2011 - The Aftermath
Posted 14 years agoHey gang!
I got back from FCN yesterday and it was okay to say in the least. I got to catch up with people I haven't seen for quite some time. I fursuited quite a bit (only brought Danny to the con) and everyone seemed to get a kick out of my antics, especially when I brought out the Dingow (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2064048/) for the fursuit parade (if anybody has any pictures or video of him at the con, be sure to send them my way ). I was in a few acts in the variety show, including the farewell performance of
yippee (I totally screwed up the choreography in the "Tik Tok" dance, but oh well, it was fun anyway). CraftyAndy's video shoot was fun as well.
One thing I didn't like about the sponsor's lounge this year was that a lot of the food seemed to get eaten up pretty quickly and the staff was pretty lagging to replenish the supply. They didn't really have that much of a variety anyway. I was kind of disappointed that I never got to have any pulled pork BBQ sandwiches like I was able to last year or go to Big Boy for dinner like I had planned.
In short, FCN was pretty bleh for me this year. It's more of a hangout con as opposed to a con where you can actually have fun. I think I'm gonna skip it next year and go to AC instead (which I might go to this year - not really set in stone yet). That's pretty much all I have to say about it.

Furry Connection North!
Posted 14 years agoOkay gang, Furry Connection North is coming up this weekend and I am really looking forward to it. I just need to finalize some things with the hotel arrangements and I should be all set to go. I'll be suiting and mingling as usual. I'm only bringing Danny this time, though. Oh yeah, and this little guy will be coming out to play as well: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2064048/ (I finally got a bell!)
Alright, so with that being said, who will I see there?

FE 2011 = AWESOMENESS!
Posted 14 years agoOkay, so yesterday I went down to a little convention called Furnal Equinox in Toronto. Since it was just a local con, I only decided to go for the day. It was an enjoyable day, to say the least. I went around in suit as Danny and it gave me the chance to try a new sort of "bark and whimper" experiment. I think it worked out pretty well. It sounded quite realistic, too, at least to my ears. Basically, Danny Dingo is a dingo with the brains of a dog, so I thought that it might work. I didn't really participate in the fursuit games, though I was there for the last little bit of it, but I did go into the fursuit parade (why wouldn't I be in it). Someone even stopped me so I could "bark" into the camera. It would have been nice to have Danny Dingo version one in the parade, but I couldn't find anyone to wear it. Oh well, maybe next year if I decide to bring it again.
My panel with
loopsabertooth on Fursuit Performance I think went pretty well, too. We got a pretty decent turnout and there were lots of questions people asked us. It was also good to see some fursuiters there as well, even though I was the only one up there out of suit and I would like to thank each and every one of them for making the panel a success. If anybody sees clips of the panel up on YouTube, please send me some links.
Anyways, major props to
vinnieluponero,

kutekittykatt,

dragonessathena,
nereza (glad you liked the sketch I did for ya) ,
firestormsix,
sateva9822,
hypr,
freshstart,
zenuel,
shujintribble and everyone else that I may have encountered at the con. Cheers to FE and cheers to the 2012 con. Dingo out!

Furnal Equinox (Info - not a meme)
Posted 14 years agoHello folks!
Okay, so
furnalequinox is coming up next weekend and of course, I aim to be there. It's a good start to my con season and it's the closest one to home. I have high hopes for this year (last year was alright, I guess so yeah). I may only be there for Saturday though, but we'll see.
Anyways, I will be romping around in suit as usual. I am only bringing Danny this time and I will also be bringing my old Danny Dingo suit (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/853509/) for people who want to try it on (right now, it's just collecting dust in my closet so I figured this might be a good opportunity for people who want to experience what being in a fursuit is like). I will also be hosting a panel on fursuit performance with
loopsabertooth so if you're looking to put a little spark and spirit into your character, be sure to come check it out. Also, if anybody can spare some hotel room space for my suits, please let me know.
Okay, with that being said, who will I see there?

Looking for female vocalist
Posted 14 years agoHey gang!
I am working on a German version of "Sugar Sugar" by the Archies, and I need a female vocalist who can sing the line, "Ich mach dein leben so süß. (I'm gonna make your life so sweet.)" in the two octaves (low and high). Comment here with your links or send me a note. If you're posting it on FA, make sure you put it in scraps. The best one that gets used will receive credit. So, are there any females out there who know a little German, or can at least sing in a German dialect?

Suggestions for submissions?
Posted 14 years agoHey gang!
I've had a huge black cloud hanging over my head lately and I was wondering what you guys want to see more of on my FA; art, music, fursuit stuff, anything else you can think of. I mean, I am a man of many talents and I love letting my creativity flow. So, any suggestions?

This just intrigues me!

And here's a video of someone trying to play the Chance-A-Tune Record that came with it (ironically, I saw this record at a record store in St. Catharines a couple years ago):
Seriously guys, I love living in the past!
Another little update and something special!
Posted 15 years agoJust want to give you a little update on what I've been doing recently. I went to MFF a few weeks ago and I must say, I love the city of Chicago, seriously. The people are great; they seem to know their way around the city and they just rock! The con was awesome as well. It was my first time going, the hotel is very nice and I really enjoyed the company of the people there. I even did a skit in the variety show to the song, "Burning Bridges" (as Mac Cat of course; if you've seen the movie "Kelly's Heroes", you will recognize the song):
In other news, I've been editing some videos for a few clients and am soon going to be working on videos from this year's Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios for a friend of mine in Vancouver. He runs a horror website called Racks and Razors, and if you want to take a peek at it, the address is http://www.racksandrazors.com.
Lastly, here's something a little bit special. I recognized the mall almost instantly when I saw this (this was shot at the Seaway Mall in Welland, Ontario where I went to college - special thanks to
maxgoof for sharing this):
And, one more thing (the best news of all), I will spending Christmas in Germany with my dad's side of the family. If there are any furs who are/will be in either Hannover or Hamburg and want to hang out, please let me know. Also, if anybody knows of any good record stores in Hannover that are easy to get to by streetcar, let me know that as well.
Hope you all are having a blast and enjoying yourselves. Dingo out!

Leaving for MFF tomorrow!
Posted 15 years agoHey guys.
As you may or may not know, I will be heading down to MFF this year. It's my first time going and I simply just can't wait for it. Probably just going to be fursuiting, hanging out with friends, exploring the city, things like that.
I will also have a skit in the Variety Show, so be sure to check that out (if you're going). As per usual, both Danny and Mac will be there, so be sure to say hi to them as well. See ya'll soon!

I need your opinions.
Posted 15 years agoHey guys!
I don't know, I feel that my art skills have improved quite a lot recently, but I'm not quite sure. Do you guys think my art has improved over the past few years or so that I've been here? Do you think my art is good enough for me to take commissions? What are your opinions on this? I mean, by looking at my recent work and comparing with my older stuff, I think I've made a vast improvement.
Just a quick note when replying: I do allow constructive criticism and tips on how to make my work look better, if you have any. I'm always looking for help and advice on how I can improve my skills even further. So, what do you guys think?

An Amazing Ventriloquist You Need to See!
Posted 15 years agoI was browsing some YouTube videos and I came across this amazing performer. He has truly mastered the art of ventriloquism. If you've seen Jeff Dunham, you may like this guy as well:
