SQUEEEEE!
General | Posted 14 years agoYou would never believe what I got my hands on today! Musashi and Star Gladiators (( two of my FAVORITE PS1 titles ever! )) At my local game trader store. Here's the double good thing. The price together was 2 cents short of 70, since musashi is a fifty dollar rare game. Well when I traded in, he bumped it over a dollar to 68, but decided to call the trade even! Man I love that guy XD <3 These are two games I grew up with, Musashi being a wacky action RPG game, while Star Gladiator was one of my favorite fighting games, and my first Teen rated game! it's an awesome fighting game! You should definitely check em out, as they are both recommended as classics from me.... or I'm nostalgic ^^; One or the other.
New Reviews!
General | Posted 14 years agoGuess what? I've played a few games (( and updated my New Vegas to include the Old World Blues )) so it's time for more reviews!
first up, Deus Ex Human Revolution! Immediant rating: 9.9
It's kinda hard to mention the plot without spoiling much, but I'll say the only problems were the character models like to move when talking, and I mean move alot! And also! when you start getting headaches, Don't get the upgraded Biochip! Just don't! Sorry that I can't say much, but the game is beautiful, and full of diferent methods of solving problems. for instance, a quick firefight can get yourself inside somewhere, but a little bit of looking might find a rooftop access or a secluded air vent. Combat is good, although the bosses are unique to fight! If you get to the second boss without the electric proof dermal armor, you may have some problems.

Fallout New Vegas review
General | Posted 14 years agoHey here! Lei here! And well.... I don't post stuff often >.> So I might start doing journal reviews of games! And I figured I'd start off with one of my favorites that I can't put down.
Fallout 4, AKA Fallout New Vegas:
Fallout is an open world.... sand box like game, minus the car jacking. You're allowed to do anything (( except kill children! )) so you pretty much can just be a douche and kill everyone for what little caps they might have. While I have a hard time being evil and choosing evil choices, so I played mostly being a good guy.... although after saving I was known to run around clubbing stuff to death.
Plot: The game is starting with a simple plot: You got shot in the head, you want to kill the guy that did it. For some reason, after you do this (( Or miss your shot )) You end up being recruited by the NCR (( good guys )) Mr. House (( neutral )) AND Caeser's Legion (( bad guys )) To try and take over the Hoover Dam for them. That's the main plot, but there are so many sub stories you get to do, and don't forget the addons! I'll address them later!
For plot, I'd give it an 9.5, would've been 10, but I get so distracted by sub quest that it's not even funny! No joke, when you finally get to New Vegas, you expect to walk in and give Benny what for! But no! You either have to have 2000 caps, do some work for The King to get a passport, or convince the guys at Mick and Ralph's to sell you a pass port. There is literally TONS of stuff to do there, like help out at the Atomic Wrangler casino.
Combat: The combat can never get old with "VATS" where you slow motionly kill something or do special targeting as you can target legs to slow down targets, or disarm them by destroying their weapons or breaking their arms. One great improvement is the "true iron sights" where you can actually look down the sight of your gun, instead of simply zooming the screen a bit with that strange cross hair.
Combat rating, I'd give about a 9, it's pretty simple and easy to master. The main thing is you have to either get a combat companion early, or work on your combat stats, or else you're going to get butchered. Sadly this won't help when you get to enemies like Cazadors and Deathclaws. Cazadors are poisonous, and the poison last a while. They also hit like a Russian freight train and have high armor. Deathclaws are also brokenly overpowered. They have high armor, and a HUGE amount of damage. Find one at the wrong time and you might end up dead. In fact, alot of situations are built against you.
Exploration: Okay, the game rocks for this. There is tons of stuff to look around for. If you miss something somewhere, don't worry, as long as you don't beat the game, you can still go back and explore. There are several "special" weapons for you to get, for any type of character. Weather it's beating up several super robots for the "Tesla Beaton Cannon" or fighting through a base of mercs for a legendary Gauss Rifle, to killing Giant rats of huge power in the "Broc Flower Cave" for the suped up varmint rifle "Rat Slayer," you have plenty to pick from!
Exploration: definitely 10, you can look everywhere for everything and still miss stuff! Watch for traps!
Hardcore Mode: New to this game, it's a special feature that makes it much more realistic. You loose stats and eventually die if you ignore the need for food, water, and sleep. You want a base of operations and a source of food at all times. The bars have notches of 200 if I remember right, where you take a debuff every 200 points. Oh! Soda RAISES your dehydration! Get water!
Hardcore is awesome, it gets a 10 for being unique and creative, as well as challenging players to keep at it through the entire game for a bonus achievement.
Addons: Okay, if you don't buy stuff online, then you can skip this.
Dead Money: The first and probably longest? of the three ad dons out so far. it's plot is simple, Father Elijah (( mentioned in the normal game )) had you kidnapped to help him break into the sierra madre casino to get him the power of the pre-existing castle of old world technology. He is evil, no doubt, and it either ends with you killing, or trapping him forever. Along your way, you'll meet three companions, Dean who was an actor/comic/little bit of everything before he became a ghoul. He helps you resist the cloud and has a special recipe for you. Dog/God are a super mutant that helps you out quite a bit. Dog instantly kills all "unconscious" ghost people, while god lets you sneak better and avoid traps easier. The last companion is mute, and takes quite a few skill checks to get anything from her. She's very hard to work with at times, but lets you stay where your bomb collar will go off a little longer. It strips you of all your current gear and gives you a set of clothes, a nice little "bow tie" and a holo rifle, it's basically and energy rifle with damage over time. It's worth trying to the challenge. Save often! Oh! Explore! Because once you beat this, you can't go back!
Honest hearts: If I rated this, it'd be a 7.5 of averageness. Sure, it deals with the legendary burned man "Joshua" but sadly this is the shortest. In all seriousness, despite the fact that there are technically about 10 or so story missions, it's literally like 5. There is the "Gathering supplies" missions where you go to get your special old world items to get the evacuation plans started. Then there is the "scouting" plans to get the way ready. Then it's either "go or fight" mission depending on your choice. Really the main thing is exploring, and at least you get to go back after you beat the addon. There will still be enemies, but not alot else.
Old World Blues: I rate this as a 9.5 for it's huge level of humor and stuff to do. You get so much wacky stuff, and very useful stuff by the end, that you're super strong! Some call that bad, I call that adding fun to the game to LAER someone to death! Make no mistake though, this addon has the toughest enemies yet! and have you ever noticed how useless Bloatflies are? Well *snickers* Just explore some random caves!
Plot: You're abducted and your brain, heart, and spine have been removed by some floating brains in jars! Oh noes! O_O Now they need your help to stop the evil Mobius from killing them! During the missions, you'll get alot of neat gear, activate quite a few interesting aids for your base, and learn what makes this place tick! By the end, you're ready to smite Mobius, enter his lair, and prepare for battle! a giant radiation spewing Roboscorpion awaits you! Keep an eye on your rad meter! This is DEATHLY important! Take it out with your biggest guns! Or try to hack and use the turrets on it! Then you have the options for how to have a good or evil ending of course.
Exploration, tons! Enemies, very varied! Characters? Diverse! It's a good addon people! Get it
Lonesome Road: I'll review it once I beat it.
