So it's been 2012 for a few days now, and I'm just now getting myself to make the New Year's post I wanted to. Probably not the best sign for my motivation for the year to come.

And now I can't remember what I really wanted to say. Oh well. I can at least post my resolutions for this upcoming year, so all of you random furries out there who don't give a damn about who I am or my personal goals, can keep me honest and help me keep at it. That's how this works, right?

Basically, the most of my goals can be summed up with, "Be healthier and happier" which includes the usual eat better and exorcise more, yadda yadda. But the one that I'm really hopeful for is my goal to draw everyday, for about an hour or more. And I definitely have the time to. My life is not nearly busy enough that I can't devote one hour a day to improving my art. Most of this will most likely be scrap and just practice, that won't be posted at all.

On top of that, I think I'm going to steal a page out of Andi's book, and start doing livestream drawings and free requests and the like. I hope to actually have a set schedule for my streams, to hopefully force me to keep up with them, but I don't have any time frame yet.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling 'cause none of you probably read this far.

First off, this is just some random idea that popped into my head when I was in my art history class recently, when the professor was talking about Cimabue and Giotto, and how some believe that Giotto was an art apprentice to Cimabue and what not. I don't know if he really was or wasn't, but that's not really the point.

What I'm trying to get at, is that the idea of a modern art apprenticeship sort of thing popped into my head, and it wouldn't leave me alone. I've seen a few artists in the furry field that have such similar styles, that it's easy to get them confused, and I believe this is because of a sort of teacher/student relationship between the two. And I thought it would be a really helpful and interesting experience to have an artist that is much greater than me (most anyone) show me the ropes and help me improve my art. I tend to improve more, and do better work when I have someone there, one on one, helping me and directing me in a way I should focus, instead of just me randomly drawing over and over and trying to improve all on my own.

So basically, the idea behind this journal is to see what the rest of you fuzzy people think of this idea, and if there is anyone out there that might be willing to help. Or maybe other people who want to improve can volunteer here.

tl;dr What are people's thoughts on an art master/apprentice sorta thing?

So this may be tacky of me, but I figure I could count this as an update on how things are going journal, so that makes it okay.

Anyway, as of December the 6th, I will have officially been in this earthly realm for another year, totaling 22 in all so far. I say this, because I have this odd notion that if I let the denizens of the internet in on this little secret of sorts, that I will get some sort of treatment suitable for such an occassion. I have never let out such a well kept secret onto the interclouds before, so I've decided to give it a shot.

And on that note, it seems my two year anniversary to FA is coming up as well, even though I lurked for pretty much a whole year before doing much. Tis a time for much rejoicing about random yearly events, I suppose.

I will attempt to cease typing in this manner that seems to happen more when I'm deprived of sleep and posting things on this site of furry artistry.

So things are going decently for the small handful of you that care, and right now I'm hanging out with my family for a late Thanksgiving/birthday weekend of sorts. Considering I haven't seen any of them for several months, it's really nice being home. Sucks that I'll be stuck in my tiny apartment again in a few days. Oh, and in two weeks this semester will be over, for better or worse, and I may open up commissions/requests/request streams/etc.

I certainly wouldn't not object to well wishes for having survived yet another cycle 'round our big bright sun and such. In fact, they would be most appreciated and very thoughtful.

Just basically a quick journal to explain stuffs. I'm not going to be doing commissions. Not for the foreseeable future. And I apologize to those of you that had asked for ones from me, but since no money actually exchanged hands, I hope you won't be too upset by this.

Mentally I haven't been in the best of places for a while now, and I'm having a bit of a crisis of art, if you will. Basically realizing that I'm a terrible artist, and can't even really be called that, just months after deciding to do this for my living. Commissions were just adding another level of stress to that, and I ended up snapping at someone who was going to commission several pieces from me. Kinda a sign that I can't do this stuff at this point in my life.

I want to basically take some time to try and improve me and my 'art'. Try and enjoy it again.

I would like to continue to do streams and maybe stream requests, but that's still up in the air.

Just posting this journal to let ya'll know of a few things going on. One, I'm officially moving as of today, and will be living in my nice cozy studio apartment. And at the end of this month classes start, so that's going to be a lot of fun.

Now the really crappy part. I just got a call from Qwest, who is the only ISP that I've found that will support my apartment up in Flagstaff, and they told me that for some reason or another, they have to completely dig up the box they have in my area and put a new one in that will support more people. Due to permits and stuff this will apparently take about three to four months.

I'll be on every now and then, with the school library and stuffs. At the very least, I'm going to keep trying to update my comic once a week, so I'll have to run down to the school once a week.

I don't know if I'm a furry! Yey! And it's also 3am. Almost, so I'm being crazy/stupid and posting random stuff on my pages. Twitter, here, etc. So, yeah, I don't know if I'm a furry.

This may be a stupid thing to say when one is on Furaffinity, and one has drawn pictures of a furry character. I mean, yeah, I did all that, but I don't know if I really -am-. Like, I joined, because I thought it would be fun to be a part of the community, but I haven't even bothered to meet anyone yet.

It's... odd. I dunno. Hell, maybe I'm just insane.

Doesn't it just irk you when you spend several hours on a picture, or just a project in general, only to have it go unnoticed by... well... anyone? ... Come to think of it, it would probably help if I was more active here. If I never post anything, no one is gonna see when I do post stuff. Bleh.
