Commission Cut Off Date.
Posted 14 years agoI was hoping to keep commissions open for a longer period of time, but I will have to close them down for a time this month due to moving to a new place. Since I'm not sure how long I will be without internet service, I have decided that I will put a hold on commissions starting on the 26th of May. That is the day that we shall be closing on the house, and will be able to start moving in as well. This means that you all have till midnight of the 26th to get your commissions requests sent in to me.
I will be working as much as I can on getting the commissions done, since I think we may have power before we have internet service. Usually that is how things go in my experience of moving. What will follow is the rules for the commissions, and there is a reason behind the payment first thing... I've been screwed out of money before for work that I've done.
= Commission Types / Rules =
- $5.00 Commission.
- General to Adult content.
- Anthro, Human, Mecha, Technical drawings allowed.
- 2 Character limit. Additional Characters will cost $1.50 per character added.
- Full colour and shaded work.
- Optional Background.
- 10 Slots Available. Work started when payment received.
- PayPal payments only at this time. ( due to moving, I don't want things being lost in the mail. )
- Closing date, Midnight ( 12:00 ) May 26, 2011

Bad and Good...
Posted 14 years agoOkay, I had some ask me what was going on that is giving me trouble in my personal/family life so I might as well come out with it.
= Mom's Health = ( Bad, Good, Bad )
My Mom has been ill for a long while and we had a great many scares that have popped up. First was the discovery of some lumps in her breasts, which after examination and removal were found to be nothing. Secondly, she has been having sever crippling pains in her right side that would leaver her unable to move and bring her to tears at times. After an examination it was discovered that she has tumors on her liver. The plan was to operate and remove them, but after the doctors studied the tests and scans they discovered something else... there were more tumors then they thought. So many that it is inoperable.
The only thing that we can do is treat the condition and curve the growth of the tumors, but the medication to do so has some side effects as well that need medication to fix also. The medication that she has to take thins her blood, which means that she has to be very careful not to get a cut or scratch. It also makes her extremely tired and unable to do much. The medication and treatment also requires that she see a doctor once or twice a week, which she likes to try and do by herself but she has to have Dad come along also sometimes just in case they give her something that would make it illegal for her to drive or sign any paperwork they give her.
The type of tumors that she has are very rare, which figures considering my Mom often gets the rarest known ailments possible ( broke her thumb reaching into a cupboard ). They are also very slow growing, so they were in her and slowly effecting her for years. The trigger... chemical exposure of some sort according to the doctors. When and where it happened, who knows. It could have been when she was a kid and working various jobs just to make some money, or when she was working various jobs trying to scrape enough together for the family to live on.
In any case, my Mom has taken care of me for so very long that now it is time that I pay her back even more by helping take care of her.
= Housing News = ( Good )
Got news today that the closing for the house we are purchasing will me May 26th at 3:00 PM. This will mean that after nearly 3 decades my family will have a place to call home that won't be either military housing, a rental property, or a hotel room.
= Relationships = ( Bad )
Not pertaining to mine, but a family members. My cousin, about 15 or so, recently had a falling out with his girlfriend. He's a young kid, and there are more girls out there that he could get, but he is having it rough with his first girlfriend dumping him. She broke up with him after a dress for a wedding she is going to arrived, telling him that he wasn't invited to the wedding and that their relationship was through. Feel bad for the kid.
= Friends Hurting = ( Bad )
Recently there have been a number of events that have taken place that have greatly effected friends of mine. One of them that I care deeply about is going through a terrible ordeal that I won't go into because it is their personal life, and it isn't right for me to talk about it. But knowing a friend is in pain or suffering makes me feel bad, especially when there seems to be little that I can do to help ease it. :C
= Job & Schooling = ( Bad, Good )
Job hunting is not going that well... Lost out on more jobs and kind of losing hope in finding one with all that is going on. But I won't give up just yet, since I really need to get a job to put my life back together again after all this time of being in shambles. Heck, maybe I'll see about getting a job at the casino as a cashier or something...
Schooling, well I filled out the applications to get back in and I have also been looking at other schools for the fields that I was considering switching to. Turns out that some of the closest ones are a fair distance away from where I will be moving to... would be a killer to commute to and from there and do work. Might just stay on the major/specialty that I was working on and get my degree in Computer Sciences. There are positions here for such work, especially with all the data centers and such in the DC area. Heck, maybe I'll be able to get a job working at one of the places they build/test the military/civilian robots. Wouldn't mind seeing a M.A.A.R.S. unit in person.

May $5 Commissions!
Posted 14 years agoA new month and a total of ten ( 10 ) slots open for commissions once more! Each commission is $5.00 and if you want one then you can reply to this journal or send me a note. I work in order of when the commissions come in, so first come first serve.
In other news, folks went and met with loan officer today about signing even more contracts for the house. Not sure exactly when the closing date will be since I have had my mind distracted by other things. What other things? Well, it is family related and also some personal things that have come up that I rather not talk about right now. All I will say is that there are going to be a great deal of doctor visits for testing and evaluation to make sure side effects and a condition does not get worse.

May Commissions!
Posted 14 years agoWell, it is another month, and as I stated in on previous journal, I am resetting the commissions back to ten ( 10 ) open slots. Each commission still costs $5.00, and as before I will work in order of how I get them. Send me a note or reply to this journal if you wish to commission me.
Friday discussion day.
Posted 14 years agoWell, I had a talk with my folks about something that I have been wanting to do for a while and I think I might have their support. I am planning on changing my college education to something that I have always loved to do and showed a great amount of skill in. Drafting and design.
When I was in high school they had a drafting program, half the school year was equal to one year of education under the way the school classes were set up. I took drafting since I was a Freshman and continued to take the class through out my entire time in high school. That means that I got a total of 8 years of education in drafting and design. I did so much work in the class that the last teacher I had ran out of work for me to do and ended up just handing me a book and allowed me to pick and choose my assignments. My work was even apparently good enough for someone to attempt to steal, only they were caught when I was able to not only point out my own work by my signature embedded onto the paper.
I really have missed the drafting projects that I use to do, and now when I get a chance to work on something I jump on it and I get a vast amount of enjoyment out of it. Looking into finding a college around here that has a drafting program, and so far the only ones that I have found have been ones that I have seen advertized on TV.
I've decided to put my job applying work on hold till my family is done relocating, and as of today the house we are purchasing is under contract with us. Soon as the closing is done, we shall be moving in, but that may take all of next month. Why am I waiting to apply for jobs and not applying now? Because the house is in another state and to commute the distance from there to here would eat up a large portion of whatever paycheck I might get. Also there are a larger variety of jobs available in the area that we shall be moving to.
= To Do List Before Oct. 2011 =
01. Get in shape / lose weight.
02. College Education Underway
03. Drivers License
04. Job Acquirement
05. Art Commissions

Ow... Why did I do that?
Posted 14 years agoOkay, in a bit of pain at the moment. Not the kind of pain that would warrant concern so don't you all fret about it. I did some weight lifting yesterday morning, and my arms are still sore today. I know I didn't tear or damage anything, they are just sore because it's been a while since I did some weight lifting. Since my arms are sore it hurts to move them, which is making it a challenge to draw, but I am still at it. It will take me a bit longer to get some work done, and that is why I am letting you all know of my arms being sore and why.
In other workout related news, I haven't lost that much weight this week... as a matter of fact I gained a bit. D: I did take a bit of time off since I had family here and there was a large dinner over the weekend that had left overs last for a few days. I shall have to workout a bit harder tomorrow ( giving my body a rest today ) and see if I can maintain the 5lb. loss of weight that I have been getting for the past few weeks. If I keep it up, I may be able to reach my goal faster then I thought.
ART UPDATE
Commissions are still open, and I am available for art trades with my friends. I am limiting the art trades to friends only right now because I am really trying to push for commissions. My family is going to be relocating soon, and I am already looking for a job in the area that we shall be moving to. For the time being however I need to generate some income, and taking $5 commissions is one of the solutions that I came up with. There are still eight ( 8 ) slots available for this month, and next month it shall reset to ten ( 10 ) slots once more.
Web Site & Web Comic
As of right now my website is down for some maintenance as I upgrade things. I am also putting a hold on my web comic as I work to build up a buffer, as well as figure out various plot issues that have popped up.
That's all for this journal entry, take care you all.

Commission Status + Amazement
Posted 14 years agoCommission work is going okay so far, only two done and a whole 8 slots still remaining for this month. So if any of my watchers want some art from me, then hit me up with a note with "Commission" as the subject line.
In other news, I seem to be creating at least one or two finished pieces a day and am having so many ideas for things that my head is starting to hurt. I've ended up resorting to sketching out my ideas and saving them in large file packets. To my amazement I think that some of my older skills of drawing traditionally and also with a mouse years ago have started to come back. I've also dug up some of my older art and looked at those compared to what I am doing now. HUGE difference in things, which you can see going through my gallery here.
Today I'll be out looking at houses with my folks. We've got four lined up to look at with the realtor, and hopefully if we find one that we like it won't be under contract like the last one... or tied up in a legal battle like another one. More then likely will be back late tonight, and I'll check my messages when I get back at my computer. Till then, all you people out there stay safe.
: EDIT 2:37 PM :
Back from looking at houses and have put down money on one. Should have all the paperwork filled out Monday since it is a holiday weekend. Possible move in date for new house is at the end of May. And now... I take a nap. I have been up for a little over 24 hours.

The Rules:
- You must post these rules.
- Each tagged person must post 10 things about themselves on their journal.
- You have to choose and tag 10 people and post their icons on the same joonurnal.
- Go to their pages and tell them you tagged them!
1. My very first mecha related toy was a small metal Voltron toy. =) ( It broke after falling from my dresser and breaking into five parts... o_O What are the odds!? )
2. I have grown up around heavy military weaponry all my life.
3. Some of the first drawings I have ever done were of machinery, armoured military vehicles, and fighter aircraft.
4. I wear glasses not only to correct my vision but also because my eyes are sensitive to light. Meaning I have to wear either tinted glasses or sunglasses all the time! If I don't, my eyes start hurting and watering so badly that it looks like I am crying. D:
5. I am usually a very shy and quiet person when I meet people in person, but after I warm up to you I am sometimes very hard to shut up.
6. I purchase loose fitting clothing not only due to my size...
7. I had my right leg dislocated at the hip in a car accident when I was a kid.
8. I took Drafting classes throughout high school, and ended up reaching a point my teacher ran out of work for me to do, so he handed me a book and told me to pick any mechanical part from it to draw for a grade.
9. I come up with a great many ideas for things, and make large plans, but my execution of said plans and ideas often ends up crashing just short of the launch pad.
10. I will work even while injured till I am ordered to stop or till it hurts too bad. ( Did this at an old job I had numerous times. )
Now to tag some people...
I tag... YOU! Yes, YOU! You there, seated at the computer! Do this, or a squid will eat your dinner!

Super Ultra Mecha Tue-er Wednesday!
Posted 14 years agoShould have announced this on here, maybe then I would have gotten more viewers. I had a stream going almost all day Tuesday while I worked on one commission. In the background I had Transformers Prime playing, since the commission relates to it and I had to get references for one of the characters for the commission. Trying to get as much details and be as accurately as I can with this commission. Problem is that drawing out the Transformers Prime style of the characters is making the end result look more like Transformers Animated. Ah well, the commissioner watched as I worked and is pleased so far with the progress that I am making and that is all that I can ask for I guess.
Now, about the other little bit of the subject line. It is now Wednesday here fore me and I play to have another stream going later today. I started the previous stream at about 7:30 and ended it a little after midnight, so I think a good break is needed before I start going cross-eyed. "What will you be drawing?" you may ask, and the answer can be seen in the subject line of this journal. I have been having a lot of ideas for things popping into my head for months now and I have figured out how to draw with a tablet, so the images are finding their way out of my head, through the tablet pen, and onto the screen to terrorize all of you fine people.

: Miscellaneous News :
I started a new diet and workout routine a few weeks ago and I am already starting to see progress in things. I have cut out soda from my diet nearly entirely, something that is very hard to do around this household, and instead I have replaced it with water. I have also started to eat healthier foods, and to cut back on the amount of food that I do eat. These changes along with being more active has lead to a total loss of 14.6 lbs ( 6.62 kgs. ). Which would average out to a little under 5 lbs a week. At this rate, maybe I will reach my goal by October.
: Cory's Daily Routine :
7:30 AM - Feed pets / Take out Trash / Empty & Fill Ice Trays / Take dog out for walk
8:00 AM - Check Online Messages

12:00 AM - Lunch

Yet another Monday.
Posted 14 years ago* EDIT *
Had family over for the weekend so I was pretty much indisposed of for a large amount of time, but they left today and I got word back on several other things that I have been working on. Having a run of bad luck it seems, but the only direction I have to move in is forward so onward I go.

Commissions Open still, and news.
Posted 14 years agoFirst of all, the good news. My Mom had an appointment yesterday with one of her doctors and the test results were in for what they removed from her breasts... It wasn't cancer! It was normal deposits in the chest that they weren't sure what they were and thought were cancerous. Finding out that they aren't cancerous has lifted a great weight off of mine and everyone's shoulders.
There are still tumors in/on her liver that the doctors were able to diagnose as very very VERY slow growing, and they are extremely rare. They only appear in people who have been exposed to chemicals, but they aren't sure what kind of chemicals trigger the growths. There is a treatment for it, which she is going to be starting soon now that her body has healed from surgery. As far as the doctors can tell the tumors have been in her body for years, and at the rate that they are growing they pose no real health risk as long as it is treated with medication.
Now for some bad news. The house that we were looking to build/buy turned out to be way out of our price range and so the hunt continues for a house. Our realtor is out of town right now so we have to wait till she returns and then we can go see another place that my Dad has found. Hopefully we shall have better luck then what we have been having. For those that are curious, I pay my parents rent for staying with them and it is a great deal cheaper then the cost to rent a place here.
COMMISSIONS ARE STILL OPEN!
...
Sorry for the bold text, but I want to get that out there. I am available to draw just about anything that you all could want. Ranging from furry to mecha and also portraits. The cost for the commissions are still $5.00. And, to help show what I am capable of doing I have been looking through my old art files for things that I have done. A lot of my skills have gone lax over the years, but they are quickly becoming razor sharp once more.

Commissions Open!
Posted 14 years agoThat's right all you people out there. I am now open for commissions! I shall have a listing of slots and status of the commissions in the footer of the journal. Price per commission is $5.00 (USD)
Want to commission me? Well, reply to this journal or send me a note and I shall get back to you as soon as I can. Priority of the commissions will be in order of how they are received, and if you want to be extra sure that I get yours then it might be better to send me a note as confirmation.
Right now I can only give you all a digital copy of the work, since my printer is out of commission... It's reading the ink levels are normal, but the black ink cartridge seems to be non-functional... and sorry to say, but I don't have the cash to drop at print shops to print things right now like I did in the past.

Clearing space.
Posted 14 years agoJust clearing the vent journal off of things and give everyone an update on the current situation here.
Hopefully today my father will decide if he wants to buy a house or pay someone to build one, since it costs about the same now days. I have yet to go to the bank to create an account because of some things that I didn't know about, that being my mother had an appointment on Monday and then two MRI scans on Tuesday. Determined to get to the bank today. After I get the bank account set up, I shall get PayPal set up so that I can start taking in commissions once more. Every little bit helps right now.
Looked into driving schools in the area, since I am tired of being a third wheel and being told to wait. The few that I found in the area could benefit from listing the prices of their classes on their websites. What I have found range from either $80 to $20, and I'm not sure about hose prices since they don't have it clearly stated on their websites and it is buried under walls of texts.
Job hunt continues. No call backs from AAFES, and I spent several hours looking at job websites here to find things close to where I am. There are buses that come around here, but they hours of the jobs I am finding and the hours for the bus routes don't overlap well. I might live in one of the largest cities in this state, but their metro system is craptastic at best.
About what I mentioned earlier about commissions. I'll let you all know when I am open for them on here and then I'll compile a list of the orders. I will have a set limit to start with, right now trying to figure out exactly how high that limit shall be.
*EDIT OF EXTREME JUSTICE!*
- Bank account is all set, and working on planning commissions.
- Meeting with builder went well. Paperwork is being drafted up and should be under contract soon.
- I LOST ALMOST 10 POUNDS IN ABOUT 4 DAYS! O_O

Another Monday, Vent Journal of a bad time
Posted 14 years agoAnother week, another journal.
Mom is doing well and things are moving along here about as well as can be expected. There was some fear with the government shutdown looming that it would put a strain on things since right now the only money that is coming in is from my father's paycheck as a DOD contractor. There was even some for my brother-in-law since his job was in jeopardy also because he works at the gym on the base doing maintenance. It has been a very stressful couple of weeks and it has left me very tired, and there is still a lot more to come in the future.
Other then family life being stressful, my own personal life is stressful as well. About a month ago I started taking more and more action to get my life in order since I was tired of being treated like a third wheel, or looked at by others as defective. I have been trying for years to find a job, but I haven't been doing all that I could have done because I was being held back by family restraints as well as the area that I live in. Right now I haven't gotten a call back on jobs I applied for, so I am going to keep hunting on the job front.
Today I'll be out shopping for food for the animals, as well as picking up some healthier food for myself and the family. I'll also be heading to the bank to set up a new bank account, and I might as well ask if they have any positions open for an intern or something while I am there. The bank that I am going to head to is within biking distance so I can make that trek, I just have to be careful of the heavy traffic since there is an interstate overpass and multiple exits and on ramps for it. Another step that I am going to take is to print out a few fliers and post them on community bulletin boards, advertising art for hire. I may not be the best artist out there, but maybe there is some work out there for me.
= Venting Ahead =
To be honest, my life has not turned out how I had planned. I had hoped in the past that I would have a job, be able to legally drive my own car, have a place of my own, and be with the person that I love. The last time that I had everything on track and working was before my family moved to Georgia, when I had to give up everything. I had a job, sure it was brutal and didn't pay as well as it use to, but it was a job and I had to leave due to moving and also because the risk of injury increased to the point that it wasn't worth the money I was making. I was only one driving class away from getting all the paper work done for my drivers license, which I couldn't complete because we were moving.
Health issues with my beloved pet cat, Bear, ended up draining my bank account of the over $20,000 that I had saved up. Combating his near fatal diabetic attack/coma left me with only about $200 in my account, which since it was a local credit union, I had to close my account with them when we moved to Georgia.
Move to Georgia was filled with promises by others that there were jobs waiting for us all when we got there, instead we found there was only one job, and it was the one my Dad had lined up because he was in the Army and it was to be his duty station till he retired. So there we were, my mother and I. She had a well paying contractor job and was now jobless, so she went back to college and became a pharmacy tech, and since we couldn't afford to put more then one person at a time through college, Mom got priority. In the mean time I looked for work, and was met only with rejection letters and emails from places that I applied at.
Attempting to get a drivers license in Georgia was another ordeal, since being unfamiliar with the area and also having to wait till I met the requirements to even apply for one was frustrating. Something that I have had to do many many times, since it seems we move right when I meet the requirements.
Recently, I have been working on getting things back in order, but I have been hit with a great deal of things all at once again that has set me back. In November my Grandmother passed due to complications of cancer, in February one of my Dad's surviving Uncle's committed suicide after suffering from severe and painful bone cancer for years and was found by his life partner in their home. Mom started to develop pains in her side, and upon investigation in March the doctors found several pre-cancerous cells in her breasts ( recent surgery removed ) and several other non-cancerous tumors in her liver that will need surgery to remove. Pile on everything else that has been going on recently in other aspects of my life, and well... It has been one very very rough time.
If I appear distant, or not as cheerful as I have been in the past when talking to the few that I do talk with online, now you all know a portion of what has been troubling me. I have a tendency to try and hide things from others, usually to the point that I explode. To keep from doing so I try to channel things to more constructive ends... like artwork, or being excessively clingy to those that I have feelings toward.
Sorry for the long vent journal, its another way that I get my frustrations and such out.

Friday Journal
Posted 14 years agoTime for the Friday journal, hold on to your butts.
Mom had the first of several surgeries yesterday, so I am helping to take care of her while she recovers. She isn't allowed to lift things for a while and she is just suppose to rest for a few days while the incision heals. Once she heals up from this she has another set of surgeries to go in for.
*edit*
Sorry for the massive upload of artwork. Adding some things from another gallery on here since it seems kind of devoid of it.
*edit 2*
- Wearing my sunglasses as I type this, and feeling bit ill. What started as a pain in the right side of my neck has turned into a headache that is actually making me feel sick stomach. Put on my sunglasses after taking two Excedrine and it is cutting down the pain a bit, but still feel craptastic.
- Mom resting comfortably on sofa and was able to get some sleep after fixed her some lunch and an ice pack to cover incision area. She's been cuddling a stuffed puppy my Dad got for her that is named Cookie.
- No word yet on job applications. Been over a week so going to keep looking at other places for a job.
- Artworks... brain is flooded with ideas. Maybe that is where the headache is from. Lots of rough sketches done, no finished works yet. Posting old stuffs in the mean time.

Monday Journal~
Posted 14 years agoWell, figured that since it is the first of the week I will post a journal now and then another one on Friday or Saturday.
Not much in the way of news, other then being exhausted Sunday after looking at houses. First house we went to look at was one we were very interested in buying. Turns out someone bought it earlier in the week and the realtor that sold it never bothered to tell any of the other realtors, including ours. Instead the guy told her to show the house and gave her everything to set up a sale for it. Other house looked at was way to small... it would be good for one person to live in, not a family or someone that has grand kids that come over like parents have now. Next went to look at homes that we can build, and found out could actually build a house for the price range we were looking to buy in. Now just have to decide if shall do that, or continue looking.
Other news, still learning to use a tablet to draw and colour with as you all can see from my latest art work. I was looking for some of my older robot artworks, but it seems they are MIA... found some, but not all of them. Guess that means I just have to redraw each of the characters that I created over the years.
Busy month. Mom has surgery set up; remembered that Dad has jury duty; relatives coming to visit, which includes my cousin and his girlfriend now also... Add on top of job searching and other things that I have going on and mostly will be available for things only late at night. I have a feeling I am going to fall back into my old routine of only getting about 4 hours of sleep a night. =P Days starting at 5:30 and ending at maybe midnight.

Saturn Day Journal
Posted 14 years agoGood Saturn Day everyone.
Sorry for all the recent journal spamming, I shall try and limit them to about two a week from now on. Just finished knocking out a mile on the elliptical machine, which really wasn't that hard at all for me to do. I feel like I could do more, but I don't want to push my body to hard to fast.
Found out that it is more then two of my aunts coming up to visit. It is going to be my two aunts, my cousin and his girlfriend that are going to be coming up to stay for a bit. Going to be a very full house and it is going to keep me busy trying to take care of everyone without tripping over them or the animals.
On health front, mom is going on for pre-op cardiologist exam on the 7th, and then surgery on the 14th. This is first round of surgeries that shall be done, with the next taking place after she heals from this one. Won't go into what is going on, and only telling you all this much so that you all won't think that I've died or something when you don't see me online.

End of Work Week 01
Posted 14 years agoWarning: Long journal ahead. Eye strain may occur.
It is now Friday, the first of April and in a lot of ways I wish that things that have happened this week were actually just someone's idea of a massive joke with the punchline coming today.
I shall have some family coming over to stay for a bit next month, two of my aunts. They are coming over to visit and help out my mom a bit with things since we have been having some health scares lately. It is going to be kind of fun, since those two usually end up arguing some kind of way and they will have to share a room... unless one of them wants to sleep on the pull out in the living room.
All things are set for job with AAFES so far. Went in like I said for an interview, and got redirected back to their website to file additional information. Now the hard part starts, waiting for call back on jobs apply for in the system. I remember my mom once waited months for a call back and by that time she already found a better paying job. Its better for me not to put my eggs all in one basket however, so I am going to continue looking for work elsewhere and hope that I will get something. At this point I'd take a job digging a ditch, but am hoping for the AAFES job so that can transfer to another place when get enough to set out on my own.
On my own health front, I have been a bit better after I started working out. I think I even found out what has been causing me to cough randomly... too much soda. I'm serious! I have been limiting myself to about one glass of soda a day and the rest of the time I have been drinking water, and my coughing stopped. Thursday was a rough day, and I ended up drinking soda a lot, and wouldn't you know it, my cough returned. So, easy fix there. Drink less soda, more water. =)
Not sure if I have lost any weight yet, but I shall find out Sunday when I get on the scale again. If I haven't lost weight, then I won't despair. After all, it was only the first week of a new routine. Going to take time to work off this excess weight that I have.
College stuff I missed out on again with all that has been going on around here. Trust me, A LOT goes on here that you all don't get to see or read about in these journals of mine. Have to put college off again till the next term, then go at it as hard as I can. More then likely I am going to be swamped when I do, only have a couple dozen credits to get to get my degree.
For today however, I shall be helping take the Jeep in for maintenance, working out, taking care of mom, and putting some things in the mail. Then maybe will be able to get some rest during the evening. Till them, take care everyone.

Mid-week fumble?
Posted 14 years agoWell, it is a bit past hump day and so far things are kinda fumbling a bit. Lots going on, and for little update on the job front I went in to see about a job at AAFEES and ended up being redirected to the website. I have to fill out a number of forms and send them in to Fort Meade, then when their HR person calls I have to request placement here at the base since they don't have it listed on their site. BLAH! More work to do, and it is not helped by their website being strange and redirecting me to other sections of it.
Housing news, house deal fell through. So family is on the hunt once more for a house. Turned out the Bank we were buying the house from didn't actually OWN the house they were selling us. It was still in a legal battle. Hopefully will have better luck with the next one.
And on workout things, using today as a rest day since have had a lot happen recently. Body also seems to need bit of rest. Wasn't able to go out for my walk, since it has been either raining or snowing here. Elliptical machines are very good though. :) My only complaint is that it is in the basement, and the neighbors have turned their basement into a man cave... and I can hear about everything they are doing over there through the piles going along the basement ceiling. In any case, I am feeling a lot better after I started working out more. =)
Rambling time is done. Time to get back to workings.

Monday Kickstart!
Posted 14 years agoWell, it is Monday and it is the first of the week for everyone. Most people would be getting up and heading to work, but not me. Why not I, well the answer is simply that I have yet to find a job. I have decided to look at a job site that offers jobs at the military base and so far have found it very lacking in opening as well as descriptions. Next course of action is to go to the main AAFES building here and check in person. They rather applicants do things online, but when their website is as difficult as it is to get a search result, it leaves little options.
Another thing that I have added to my routine is a more vigorous workout session. Yes, yes, I know that is the last thing that you all need in your heads. The mental image of me working out and being a large sweaty blob on some piece of workout equipment. But my goal is to get back down to 158 pounds before the year is out. I've done so before and I shall do so again, and the reason to do so are many.
In other news, I have gotten my car back from the soldier it was on loan to. This means that I can restart my driving lessons as well and earn a license to replace my permit that I have been holding for over a dozen years now. Hopefully there will be no hangups at the DMV like in previous attempts, such as proving that I am a US citizen as well as live in the United States. If the clerk at the DMV starts parroting "blame 9/11" again, I might have a meltdown right there and lose my usually cool and calm disposition.
Artwork, comic, and website news are about the same. I am working on things slowly but surely, and may even have some help soon depending on the news that I get from my host on there plans to upgrade their systems to php5 or not.
Anyway, I shall now return you all to your regularly scheduled browsing as I continue to work away at things. =) May you all have a good day.

Gallery clean up.
Posted 14 years agoWell, there might be some angry people out there right now since I removed some artwork from my gallery. Most of what I removed were comics that I have done and some other things that felt it was time to put on a shelf in some dark corner. Any who, what is left now is some artwork and a few short comics that were either requests or other such things from others. Don't worry, I will be posting more art, so don't get all mad and leave in a huff.
It is finally time...
Posted 14 years agoAfter years of taking care of others, I think that it is finally time for me to take care of myself a bit. Going to go on a diet and get into shape, and also work on getting into shape financially. I have had to put things on hold for so long with all the family issues that have popped up, and after having a recent scare with such that I won't go into here, I have decided that it is no longer good to hold off on things or put things on the back burner. So, in order to keep things in order and maybe generate some more support, I figure I shall post a list here of things that I hope to accomplish before the year is out.
1. Getting a bank account -
I have had one before, but when my family moved from Maryland to Georgia I closed it out from the local bank in Maryland and have yet to set up a new one. It is not out of being lazy, I just have trouble finding a good bank... that is national.
2. Get to 158 lbs. -
One of the things that I have struggled with all my life it seems is that I have been heavy. When I was a little kid I was as skinny as a rail, but I developed some bad eating habits. I did work off a lot of weight in the past after high school, but now it has found me again and I have to work to get it off and keep it off.
3. Drivers License -
Each time I try to get one I get hit by a road block of some kind. Usually it is residency issues with the state that I am living in since they require different things in order to prove you live in the state, are a US citizen, and know how to operate a motor vehicle ( often with certification that you do from a state approved driving program ).
4. Finding a job -
I've held jobs in the past, but most were volunteer work or were very physical with little benefit in the way of money or health. In a few of my "Folf!" comics you can see incidences that actually happened at a job I had. Yes... I was backed into by a car that I was loading and ended up in the car's trunk.
5. Go back to school to get degree -
With all that has been going on I have not been able to concentrate on college, and have since missed several terms that I could have been doing classes to earn my degree in Computers and Communications Technologies. I plan to get back into classes and earn my degree so that I can provide a good life for not only myself by also the woman that I love.

Weekend and Week ahead work load.
Posted 14 years agoI've got a lot to do this weekend and next week, and again I'm sorry for not having anything really to post. I really hate being behind and work and not being able to keep my word on things, it makes me a sad Core. :<
These coming weeks I shall be busy taking care of my mom since she has been very ill lately. Monday if the doctors are in that she has to see for her liver biopsy then they are going to go ahead and do that. Right now she is resting on the couch after taking pain medication. If you are wondering what is going on with her health, then welcome to the club. After a lot of tests and blood work, as well as an MRI and CT scan the doctors aren't sure but did find some spots on her liver they want to check out. Doctors are scratching their heads right now as to what could be going on... basically it is like an episode of House M.D. right now around here. Hopefully next week will bring answers, but for now I am taking care of mom and all things around the house since she's not even allowed to lift anything heavier then a cup of water.
In addition to helping out mom, I'm also a bit stressed since we have yet to hear back from the bank about the house we were buying. They seem to be dragging their feet and it has me worried that they might pull something.
Work on artwork and comics is going slow right now, since I'm working on it between doing other things. Thank you all for not invading the little townhome that I am in and chaining me to my desk to draw while having someone crack a whip at me. =)

Exhausted me is exhausted...
Posted 14 years agoBlah, so much to do and so little time to do it in. I seem to have run myself into another bout of exhaustion with all the things going on at one time. Short list of what is going on...
1. Waiting for bank to call about house signing papers for purchase of house.
2. Mom has been sick since Friday, and has me worried.
3. Fallout 3 MOD project derailed due to "TARDIS Effect" with its maps.
4. Comic work.
5. Website work.
6. Net-Show work.
7. Packing for move into new house.
8. Having people mad at me for not being online when they are.
9. Having people mad at me for getting SLEEP!
Short list, but couple with day to day things it wears someone down. I think that tonight I shall take a break from things, maybe get to bed early also.

Well *BLEEP!*
Posted 14 years agoI have having some technical problems with Photoshop and with my FTP program at the moment, so I can't upload new things to my website server. I figured that I might as well give you all some artwork to show what I am doing. :)
I have a tablet, and I am learning how to use it. Now the world has a new thing to fear!
