General | Posted 13 years agoSo the photos I just posted have the wrong date/time stamps. For some odd reason, they ended up with the upload date/time (accessed timestamp) instead of the creation timestamp. The pics really were taken in Sept. 2011. I just now got around to cropping and uploading.

RIP Tom Bosley (Mr. C, Amos Tupper, David the Gnome)
General | Posted 15 years ago Just read that Tom Bosley has lost his battle with lung cancer. Bosley was one of those actors who seemed to show up in everything I watched, from Happy Days (in reruns) to Murder, She Wrote, to David the Gnome and various Christmas Specials. Another great star from American film and television has made the move.
SCZ Zoo!

Magical Mystery Fur seen in Orlando, Fla July 17/IYC2010
General | Posted 15 years ago So, I spent last weekend, July 14-19, in Orlando, Florida for my churches International Youth Convention (IYC2010). Nearly 6,000 people, from 13 countries, all gathered together to worship and learn more about God and Love. It was, simply put, amazing.
ANYways... Saturday afternoon, I was hanging out near one of the vendor booths waiting to pick up a video kit for the movie To Save A Life, when I noticed a guy with dirty blond hair, dressed mostly in black, doing some slight of hand and magic tricks. Cool, cool. So I watched while I waited. Didn't see which region he was from, what state he was from, only his first name. Turned to see if the person with the video kits had arrived yet, she hadn't. Turned back, and Mr. Magician was walking off... wearing a tail. I nearly fell over. In a crowd of 6,000-ish people, I found an open fur, and I couldn't catch up to him to say hello.
Anyone know who this magical mystery fur might be? I put our kids on the lookout for him, and the spotted him at the Silent Walk, but I couldn't catch him then (it was dark, and we were supposed to be, well, silent). I couldn't find him again.

General | Posted 16 years agoSeveral of the folks who are watching me may think they've never met me, or chatted with me before. They would be wrong. The trick is, I've changed names a few times. Yes, this is my first (and only) FA account. But I'm known by several other names. Maybe you'll recognize one (or more): Wulfcub, Wulfcubks, Tesla, _Tesla_, Copper Mistral. So, do you know or remember me now?
More pics should be coming this weekend or sometime next week. I have 2 rolls of film waiting to be processed, printed, and scanned. Takes time, but it's a nice habit to get into. I can smell the fixer on my hands now...

Ok, now here's the thing. Some of this stuff, I don't really fear in and of itself, but it's consequences, like losing my sight or hearing. I already have poor eyesight, and my hearing is really bad in many ways. It's not the loss of these things that I fear, but the losses that follow as a result. Being able to visually experience the beauty of the world. And believe me, being a photographer is MUCH more difficult when you can't see what you're trying to capture on film. As to the loss of hearing, I listen to alot of music. It's a source of endless encouragement and uplifting. That would be a major loss for me.
Also, I think a few of these a few of these are just obvious. Who doesn't fear being given great responsability? Who doesn't fear failure? For that matter, who fears the welcome mat?
Now, as to the clowns... I don't want to hear about of you whiners crying becuase you're scared of someone wearing makeup and goofy clothes and making baloon animals. Look at yourselves fercyinoutloud! You're FURS! You wear FURSUITS and run around acting like ANIMALS!! How is that any less creepy that someone in makeup and colorful, oversized clothes? You freaks.
