Posted 14 years agothat you're being taken for a ride? And you think it's that ride to Disney world you've been waiting for but it ends up that you're driving out to the middle of nowhere with a shovel...
Kinda how I feel right now. And no it has nothing to do with my friends' recent journals, so don't worry; but I cant shake the feeling that the with job I'm doing, I've been strung along to believe that I can do it when everyone knows i can't. I'm getting all this encouragement to go into the world and do good things when everyone knows I'm going to fail. I have this feeling...yet, I still get up every morning to follow these orders, to take the encouragement, to hang out with people who don't give a damn what I have to say and just want me to listen to their problems (again, no relevance to anyone connected to FA. Kiri and GT, that means you.) all because I'm hoping that some day I can fulfill those expectations...when I know I'm lying to myself about that too...
All I can say is I'm trying my best and hoping its good enough, knowing full well that its not. I dunno. I just parted with a friend of mine because he was unwilling to let vent to him...his decision btw, which leaves me in the position I was in just the other night in my emo rant journal...
I need help...like...professional help, or something.

Posted 14 years agoWhy is that anytime I have a good day, it has to go and get ruined with something stupid and trivial. It's like I take far too much stock in having the little things go well and then I am devastated when they don't. For instance, I went on an errand for work today, which went smoothly albeit a little long, and everything was fine, until I got back to work with everything and then was bitched at for forgetting to bring the shopping list back. Another instance, today at dinner with some friends, Kiri and I had a little spat, which was fairly minor and resolved shortly afterwards, however, I still felt like shit afterwards. I still do, in fact. Its funny how everything can go as planned but a teeny tiny little thing can sour my mood, mostly for the fact that I can do nothing about it. This has been a trend ever since I moved here, and realistically, for several years. Is it just me getting older and expecting too much out of myself and the world around me? Or is it that I'm turning out to be more like my mother than I ever wanted to be and am going to end up wound up like an old clock and senile by the age of 40? Either way, I'm sick of it. I want it to change, but as cheery and chipper as I try to maintain myself, my old habit creeps up on me. No matter how hard I try to keep logic and reason the basis of all I do in order to spite my own emotions, something just has to send me over the edge. Fuck this...I'm tired of this bullshit. It doesn't help that no one around me seems to give a rat's ass what I care about, even if what I care about is them. I keep getting this nagging feeling that I'm unnecessary and there's nothing I hate more than that. Unwanted is one thing, I can deal with being unwanted. But unnecessary? I'm a third wheel everywhere I go, I'm just a tool for my friends to get what they want. An everdeep bank account if you will. No one seems to care that I do what I do because I want them to be happy or successful or better off than they were. I'm just there...
I'm tired, bed sounds nice right now, but I know for a fact that tomorrow isn't going to be any relief. I'm going to wake up feeling shitty, go to work feeling shitty, get bitched at for being shitty at work, then go home and feel worthless like I always do. Good night, cruel world. Posted 14 years agoSo today ladyhatter did a reading for me and though it seemed accurate, I am very confused about its meaning and definitely need to sleep on it. It has had me kinda rattled all night, so I'm sure a good night's sleep will at least do me some good, despite me probably forgetting what she said. (No offense, I just have horrible memory...) So with that I bid thee goodnight and hope for a pleasant tomorrow.

Anyways, we totally chilled and it was real cool to get off base and do some fun stuff. I doodled a bit while we checked out the book store and then we had dinner at Pizza Hut which led to the best set of laughs I've had in a looooooong time. Also, since Shesta and Echo are so good at putting together outfits and fursuits, I was also thinking about getting some pointers from them on how to make this outfit I've been DYING to get/make for a while.
Regardless, I had a killer time and the group is a total blast. The fun just never stops with these guys!

Speaking of which, for those of my watchers who actually read my rare journals AND who are old enough to see the adult content on the site, I have uploaded a template for ya'll to color your fursonas into (granted they must be canine). That said, now

No offense to those who consider Chicago their home, but this place has GOT to go!* So! In less than 30 days i'm off to San Antonio** to start myself a new chapter in my life. Posted 15 years agoso ever since I left detroit i've been feeling like crap. like, not just the regular i-dont-wanna-go-to-school-crappy, no, the omgijustwannatearoutmyheartandmailittosomeone crappy. This is probably the first time i've felt this way in ages. like, i never get too emotional over things, but this just hits me hard and i don't really wanna pour the whole story out here cuz i feel that's not the responsible thing to do. But i do just wanna let people know what's going on since i don't update my journal very much. that and the fact that the only person i feel like talking to right now is probably asleep and she would probably get mad at me for telling her this kind of stuff. I may not be able to go to AC this year, but I figure if I can make it to one con, then I'll have accomplished something as a furry this year. ANYWHOO, yeah, free flight, free transportation, and what most awesome? I am heading there on saturday so if I'm lucky I might be able to squeak in two days of con experience.
