i feel like i messed up somehow?

i went the genocide route, i killed everyone/thing i ran into

got the the king, we went to the gate way, i killed him, flowery came, took the souls, did that whole song and dance (killing me, shutting down the game over and over , the souls helping me, killing flowery, etc), sans called, told me to go to hell, the end.

it restarts, i open my file again- and im back at "the end" save spot.

my ending looked nothing like the end i saw on youtube- and i never got to fight sans.

what gives? did i fuck something up? do i need to kill the king again? idk what going on
