Okay so all too recently and all too often I've had people complain about my prices stating that "if a sketch only takes me 30 minutes to an hour why do I charge $20 for it that's way above minimum wage!"

I'm not here to make minimum wage I don't know how many times I have to state that and I don't think any artist should be pressured into the point where they feel guilty for making a good amount of money every hour.

If I wanted to make minimum wage I go down the street and be a waitress I wouldn't subject myself to the stress and pressure that being a freelance artist comes with. I would rather just go get a shit a job that pays me $7 an hour constantly no matter what

I'm here to make as much money as I feel I am worth, if you don't feel I'm worth the money that I charge for my artwork then don't commission me go elsewhere. But art isn't cheap art should not be cheap it is a luxury item that you are not entitled to.

You joined the fandom that is heavily based around expensive and eccentric pieces of artwork that you commission out of your pocket or that you create for yourself. I am NOT required to give you a discount because you only make $500 every two weeks.

I've spent almost every single day of my life for the past 4 years working myself up to this point giving myself raises and making a living off of what I'd like to do.

I'll be damned if I'm going to under charged myself or only give myself minimum wage rates, that's not what I'm here for.

And I don't even make that much money compared to what I have to spend every single month in this city that I live in that has an extremely high cost of living.

So fuck off if you're going to tell an artist that they charge too much its not your place to speak about that.

Ok, first I would like to start this journal with an apology. Many of you who have come to me with ideas both small and grand have fallen to the wayside. Be it disorganization or life issues that have occurred I have dropped the ball and it has gone out of control and for that I am sorry
As of 2 days ago I made the responsible decision to make a turn around with my life and my productivity as a whole. In doing so I will be changing a lot to set myself in a dependable routine. I started taking commissions at a younger age than most artist and of course was fascinated by the new experiences that it brought. Much of that experience however, left me handling artwork without static workflow. I assumed that I would be able to simply remember what commissions I needed to do all the time, not needing to write things down or keep track of them by some other system. I formed a nasty habit that I am now trying my fucking hardest to break and I need everyone’s help to do so.
I’ve recently “acquired” a manager who’s going to beat me into shape so everything you want me do to and I want to do for you as my customers, my commissioners, my friends can be completed these next few weeks.
First and foremost so there is no alarm in seeing it, I will be continuing commissions as I have been to the end of this month so I may satisfy what contributing portion of rent I HAVE to pay. This will be the last month that I work in this fashion.
For those that I owe work to I ask that you help me in gathering the information for your commissions accordingly so I may put together a proper working queue and have everything sorted out. This will allow me the freedom to organize things so they can be properly completed as I go.
I would also like to announce that as of February 1st 2016, I will no longer use note system FurAffinity uses for ANYTHING RELATED TO COMMISSIONS. Any note received about them will be replied back to with a redirect to my commission email account where it will be sorted and replied back to within 72 hours. Nothing will fall through the cracks anymore.
