I gotta say, some of you are acting like it's the end of the world, like... You can't draw this kind of stuff anymore because of it.
Did ya read the article?
It's talking about children acts, not adults, not furry adults, children...
If you draw stuff of original characters, certain franchises where age is legally confirmed to be over 18... What the heck are you so worried about?
You've been drawing this stuff for years i presume by now, isn't that just the risk of the territory, that there's an off chance that you could be sent to jail for an act you already know is a no-no in the first place?
Look at the date, it was published and signed LAST YEAR... You went a whole year and then some without this ever being a problem, you know why it's a problem now...?
I dunno, is someone trying to scare you into submission, like a childhood bully?
This is all a scare tactic folks, like a YouTube copyright offense or a warning right here on FA.
If you do not draw that kind of stuff, don't worry about it...
I am all for the law, those kinds of acts on children are obscene, and do not belong, period.
But people are blowing it way out of proportion, like anything else... and think it applies to ALL acts of this kind...

Hurricane Irma... My biggest challenge yet.
Posted 8 years agoShortly after the scary menace that was harvey comes a storm that has me terrified, Irma... Irma is heading right for florida, where i live, i may be forced to evacuate... If by some chance i dont come back, i leave 
in charge of things like handling of comments, posts on my behalf, and such things... either while i am gone, or for as long as it takes for me to return.

What makes a CleverDerpy? (A question for the masses)

"What makes me... Me?" I am trying to get an idea of what everyone thinks makes my art stand out.
The reason I wanna know is I feel I lost my way, expanding into the unknown and well beyond into obscurity...
It's a getting back to basics question you all deserve to let your voices heard about. cuz i feel i am overwhelmed with too many choices.
I'll be honest, i am very scattered in my thought process and jump from thing to thing, but i need a focus, a purpose...
You as my fans know me, so tell me what you think about this, comments, Notes, personal contacts are just fine, and they may help steer my ambitions to things that make people happier. (Or not, depending on the subject)
So Tell me, what do you want to see, what do you like, and what is on your mind about little ol me?

I am Disappointed in Patreon...
Posted 8 years agoYesterday i had 28 patrons, and made over 120 dollars, i wake up today to find, the day i get paid, my fruit of the hard work i am doing, 3 patrons... 20 dollars...
It's sad that i even bothered, 20 bucks? for working my ass off all month producing over 30 works, for a bunch of traitors?
So i decided i am tired of people taking advantage of me, I am putting this page on a temporary hiatus, as well as Eka's, until i get back the money i lost... I lost 100 dollars i really needed, and if you bailed, shame on you!

Posted 8 years agoFirst of all, I haven't been as active here as i was in the past due to some serious stuff I've been going through...
But that's not my excuse for what i am about to say to all my fans...
I am sorry i have been delaying commissions and having trouble completing stuff, i am finding increasing pressure to issue a public apology for my actions and to make things right.
I have been making excuses, finding distractions, and have not been too diligent in my works, that's not fair to you guys, I had to do refunds to people because i buried myself in work i could not do or complete.
I don't expect forgiveness, heck, i don't even care if this is the death of my stuff, i just want to make things right, i want to restore trust in my fans and clients.
It's fair to say, i should never had agreed to do commissions i couldn't do so well... But i did anyways, so.. Here's what i am gonna do.
I am going to honor all commissions in my revamped style that i can remember were not or are not completed, to apply, simply send me a screenshot of a record of some kind the deal was struck or of your transaction amount when the deal was made, so i can confirm for legitimacy.
I do ask anyone who applies though, you may request a changed work only if it's of equal value or less, otherwise you will get what you initially ordered in a remastered style.
If i cannot complete your work, i will make you a new one, and if your work isn't satisfying, i can redo it up to 2 times.
This workload is gonna be a big set, so i will try my very best to make this work. i am gonna be more persistent this time.
I also wanted to let you guys know, i am living on pennies here, so i cannot do refunds at this time, which is why i am offering the next best thing.
Sorry I had so much trouble, i hope you are gonna all still be ok with me after this, I am really trying hard here,

Closing Commissions, Opening Requests, My News, and You!

This year is different... The air is hard, cold... Toxic almost...
I wanted to kick off this year with good news...
I sadly cannot do that, as i have decided to close the doors to commissions... Maybe forever.
I do not deal well with stress, and they bring lots of it, and i am no longer going to accept pay for my works until further notice.
So far, I have left a trail of unfinished, half-assed, or not even started commissions, which i sincerely apologize for. When i started taking commissions, i had hoped my motivation would have remained strong... It completely deflated, as did my interest in doing more... by year 2...
I realize many people felt wronged by me because of this, especially since i kept accepting money, that wasn't right, i should have been more upfront about it... I now realize some people have given me negative or even downright disgraceful reviews for this reason. that and my habit of reusing artwork more than once... I am growing tired of being judged for my art, but I've come too far to quit now.
I realize in 2017, my 15th year of doing art (2002-2017) that i have downright insulted the integrity of many people with my work, my view counts, a lot of things... Some people won't even talk to me anymore.
I am just tired of doing art the way I do it now, I want it to be more free form, more creative, more inspiring.
On that note, I am opening Requests now to people who want them, but only a few to start, and here's the deal, I will hand pick these requests based on interest at the time and how they are presented, if i put a lot of time into that work, i want it to be enough to work with to be worth the time.
Now, in personal news, I am broke, my credit is shot, i have bills i am in way over my head with, i dunno how i plan to handle that, i have looked for jobs since college, which was roughly 5-6 years ago... So if anyone wants to offer suggestions, i am all ears.
Lastly, how does this affect you, my readers, fans, spectators, critics...? In short, it is a shift of focus, which means i will probably do less art, or have to find a way to recharge my motivation somehow. For you to fully understand as a fan or reader, i am being very open and personal about my experiences with art. I want to learn, and maybe you can help me get there!

I have done much wrong to you, but i refuse to let us go down in history as enemies...You are a good person, and i really respect you, so i propose we be friends at a distance to avoid further strife.
To my followers, i think it's time you know the whole story.
I was in a depressed state when i was with lunaris, not his fault at all, he was a victim and i took a lot of frustration out on him...
I did many things i regret, including a recent journal spat that got me into serious trouble, i hate being in trouble, but i was disappointed in myself and realized i deserved that punishment.
Which is why lunaris, i write this follow up to you, to prove i was wrong.
I realize you are an amazing person, i encourage all of my fans to follow your amazing work, which you may find here:

But more importantly, i want all my fans to support him in this dire time of need, luna was hurt by me, so i wanna make things right.
So i will save up my money and pay lunaris back for when he helped me, by bringing him the admiration and respect he really does deserve...
But above everything, i want you all to feel like we can grow from experiences like this, improve who we are by correcting out mistakes.
So i want everyone who is willing to check out and fave at least 1 of his works or more to support my dear freind lunaris, even if he doesn't consider me one anymore, i still support him.
