Runty Ink is Live!
General | Posted 10 years agoCommission Information: http://www.runtyink.com/commission
Heey, it's been quite some time, but guess what? I'm finally back and ready to get into the swing of things here again!
And not just on Furaffinity, but through my own streaming VC on Discord. We have a community called the Driggy Den over there, full of wonderful creative people who have been great to work and enjoy content with!
So, if anyone is interested in checking it out, all the links can be found below. I'll be actively uploading any and all work that I create on that stream back onto here on Furaffinity, and that also means that for anyone interested in commissions, you'll be able to see your work done live! I'm very excited to get everything set up, so look forward to plenty of new content in the near future!

Art Dump!
General | Posted 11 years agoHelloooo, FA. It's been quite a while since I've tossed anything up here. Somewhere close to two years, in fact. I've done several things in that time, so I figured I'd upload some of the nicer pieces.
As for where I've been lately, I've done a few passes through various websites, so I've never really been in one place for very long. But where I'm housed (and active) currently is on the Bad Dragon forums (+18) where I've been working hard to get one of my sculpts into their main line-up. A real toy! I figured I'd bring him up here just in case anyone wanted to follow the progress on that, or even help by sharing some feedback.

It's really awesome to see so many familiar faces again, and that you've all been doing well!

Anime North 2012 Footage!
General | Posted 14 years agoOur first real fursuit outing at a convention :D Oh man, what an awesome experience it was. We were there from Friday to Sunday, and in total got about 2-3 hours of full suiting time a day. Kumo partialed with her tail/paws/feet for almost all the rest of the time, while I did so with head/paws/feet for about another 3-4 hours. If I wasn't fullsuiting or in partial, I was cosplaying as Naoto Shirogane from Persona 4, and took that to both an Atlus photoshoot and Persona 4 discussion panel. That anime/game is sort of my thing right now, so I picked up plenty of P4 goodies in the Dealers Room as well.
But hey, this is about the fursuits! They held up perfectly well through out the whole convention, and we made sure to febreeze and brush thoroughly after every outing. While we were out in them, we couldn't walk more than 5 seconds without someone running up and asking for a picture (and many wanted shots with us!). At some points, we were stuck in a huge circle of people for 3-5 minutes before being able to move again. Haha, what a feeling ^^ We kept extremely enthusiastic and playful, and surprised so many people when they saw us moving the jaws while talking. As it was an Anime convention, not a Furry convention, so many people were curious about how the suits worked, so we were happy to explain and also reference them back to Beastcub's work.
And for those of you that I saw at AN, hope we see each other again next year! It was such a blast <3

The Chrono Trigger/Persona 4 panel videos are almost an hour long and are being rejected by Youtube because I can't activate my account for longer videos (I don't have a mobile phone). Oh well.

Guess who's graduation application got rejected~~!
General | Posted 14 years agoThat's right, ladies and gentleman. I was completely misguided through out my second, third and fourth years and was idiotic enough to assume that the elective classes I had been choosing all this time were... well, actually electives! Seems like that was not the case, and I actually wasted $1500 on three classes which did nothing for my degree requirements. Completely wasted classes.
Sending off that application alone was $100 out of my wallet, and now I have to go back next year and spend another $1500 on three APPROPRIATE classes so I can graduate NEXT summer. But you know what? I'm the bloody dumbass who should have gotten advising, and if any of you out there are prospective post-secondary students, you'd take my advice and do the same. This is the second time this institution has mislead me... first was when I thought the name 'Ontario College of Art and Design' meant it was... well, a college. And now this. I could have been done with school at the age of 22, and now its going to be 24 with two victory laps that'll haunt my ego for the rest of my life.
But in the end, its all my fault, I'm the dumbass who never read the fine print and this is how I'm going to pay for it. I can't even apply for full-time student with three courses, so now I'm under no insurance at all and... well... I'm not graduating with my friends either.
As a child, I took pride in feeling like one of the few who knew what I wanted to be when I grew up... now I hate everything I've done and wish I had made a different choice. Even without all these victory laps, its finally dawning on me how useless my bachelor is.

Fursuits!
General | Posted 14 years agoYes yes, guess who arrived today!
After getting them on, we were daring enough to brave a 30 minute walk to/from Kumo's house to give her mother a surprise. We collected many waves, three hugs and fist bumps along the way~ As well, we collected some video footage of the whole trek and photos as well, but Kumo doesn't want to give me her camera until Sunday ;A; Something about wanting to show her mother the footage first, and I won't see her again until Sunday. But when I get that camera, I'll get you guys some fursuit content up on Youtube (ChibityIcee) and photos here on FA.
So! What to say... Well, first off, they're brilliantly cute and quite nice to wear because of the "pop the top" function Beastcub provides that makes getting quick air/water really easy; plus I've got a fan in my muzzle which does wonders. Amazingly, my glasses don't seem to fog up much at all even with the fan off, so that says how well the ventilation is. Of course, I'll keep it on anyways because its very refreshing~
The wings are attached by four rare earth magnets that connect to another set of magnets built into the back of the suit, so getting the wings on is literally a snap~
The tail... is hyooooge~! You'd think there would be a weight issue with how big it is, but the whole suit is balanced out really well. In terms of keeping things clean, we're definitely on top of that. We gave them a good Febreze/airing afterwards, as well as three rounds of brushing whilst they dried out. We've got foam heads for storing the heads too~
So, here's to some really quality work! The whole day ways perfect from beginning to end. Only thing that could have made it better is if my throat didn't start suddenly getting sore the night before, so yes, its quite aching now. Hope it doesn't last long. e3e;;
But yeah, I'll have that content for you guys on Sunday! If you've got any questions/advice, just let me know :>

O'gasp, my birthday. :U
General | Posted 14 years agoThat time of the year again. *Twiddles thumbs*
Just spent nearly 30 hours with a group of friends which ended in us staying together until midnight so my birthday wishes could be issued early.
Going out for a Korean BBQ today, though, so that should be nice and fun. <3
Its a nice feeling and all, but nothing feels better than knowing that next week is my last week of University... hopefully forever. ^3^
23 years old and what am I planning on doing now? Awh, hell, I don't know. Maybe open commissions again once graduation happens and everything settles down. Kumo and I are probably going to be going crazy over the next few weeks when our Beastcub suits arrive, which I'm estimating now could happen in 1-2 weeks if they've been sent.
All is exciting!

North Bay Trip! (Last Part)
General | Posted 14 years ago'Eeeeyy, we all went to North Bay this weekend to see an online friend! Four of us (me, Jambles, Masta and Pants) all managed to fit into a one bedroom apartment's snug little living room and we had an awesome time~ Also, that online friend happens to be the vlogger Daryl from the DarylDoesShow, so he caught some footage of us and uploaded it to Youtube. I'm the one with the short, red hair and collar.

Youtube Channel Terminated
General | Posted 14 years agoWell, there goes nearly 3,000 subscribers down the drain and over 400 videos, all which started coming together since 2008. Then again, I saw it coming. A small percentage of them moved over to an alternate account I built just in case this would happen but... in all honesty, I think about how much time I actually spend on Youtube now (posting one video maybe... every 3 months?) and how horribad Youtube's new layouts look... I really don't see a point in going back.
Yes, I have all those old videos. But any of the ones that garnered over 100,000 views only did so because they were important at the time. I suspect uploading them all now would result in a cloggy channel trying to be what it was again, and never being able to do so. I was extremely user-revolved when I was active, and now I am not. So... there certainly is no point.
The new channel (ChibityIcee) will probably be subject to a few fursuit videos when she arrives, but aside from that, I'm pretty much done with you, Youtube.
Oh, the killer strike on the account was over a Homestuck song, by the way. Nothing is sacred anymore.

Meeerry Christmas!
General | Posted 14 years agoHope you're all having a great day! We're just in the midst of opening presents, so things are getting exciting 8D Happy New Years to you all too! I hope you're all getting what you wanted this year ^^
PS. Sorry about the lack of pictures lately. The holidays have kept me extremely busy and so has work, with an extremely busy mall and everything... so yeah, I'm beat. But hopefully I can get back into the swing of things before University starts again in January.

This is a spontaneous journal...
General | Posted 14 years ago... to make up for the fact that I just deleted all the "Our World" related journals since that's over and done with! And the last ones before them were just cottage shenanigans way back in summer. Holy smokes, I don't write a lot of these. At least, compared to some of the people I watch. *Points fingers EVERYWHERE!*
But what's there to say?
Oh, how about -- that my cat licks my arm frantically whenever I scratch his backside. He purrs too, so does that mean he really likes it? He does it as if he can't help it, but its so silly~
Weii!

Those cottage videos!
General | Posted 14 years agoDon't worry, I didn't forget about them. In fact, they're all finished and uploaded! So if you're curious, here's a little package of cottage-goodness to keep us reminded of the passing summer and all the good times it brought. I'm the one wearing the red panda kigurumi in the first video.

Back and UNFin'!
General | Posted 14 years agoBack from the cottage trriiiip! And oh so much fun we had. There was plenty of swimming, eating junk food and watching the entire season 3 of The Boondocks. Though there was never really a sunny day... Friday was hot, but it was entirely cloudy... Saturday was cloudy and then we had a huuuge lightning storm in the evening that shoo'd us inside, and then Sunday was raining the whole time. So no blue skies. But we did swim in the rain on Sunday and it was probably the best swim because the water felt so much warmer than the cold air. I'll remember that...!
I'll also remember when Jambles accidentally (and I'm serious) tipped a glass of water onto my crotch after counting down from 10, trying to get another friend to take the glass from her hand. I'm so dead serious, we were laughing so hard because she actually did not mean to do that, and even said "I couldn't stop it!" Oh god, we were in stitches, and my pants were so wet... >3<
Oh, and we had fireworks on Saturday riiight before the storm, so it was like the light show just kept on going even after we finished. And yes, I got loads of video footage of the fireworks/lightning, which I hope to put together in the next few days.
So, videos later. I'll make a journal when they're ready. But the lightning was intense, I plan to have fun with it.
Until then, I've got almost 100 FurAffinity messages to get through including your submissions and journals, so expect some comments! :> Glad to be back! And UNFing! The new icon I'm trying out was done by Tikky, though I'm sure you've seen them all around FA already. Thanks Tikky. <3

I'll miss you guys!
General | Posted 14 years agoYep, finally time to head to the cottage. Goodness knows I need this break, and riiight before school starts too. For that reason we'll probably be back Sunday, but maybe Monday if conditions are nice. Either way, I'll be gone for a few days and I don't think we'll be having internet access up there, soo... I'll check out all the submissions, comments and journals when I get back!
Oh, we've also got a camera with us so hopefully we'll be able to do some video-related shenanigans and get those up on Youtube when we come back. Oh-- and I guess in case anyone was all curious, no it is not my family's cottage, it belongs to my friend FancyPants. And because people tend to ask this too, its by Sturgeon Lake in Ontario. It's great, and full of fish! If we're not lazing about on the floating dock, then we're usually spotting bass and walleye under the water.
But yeah, videos. Here's some that we took last year to tide you over. My hair used to be longer, but I still wear the collar:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTlKRQH1oZo - Chibity crepes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3j9Nh9WELHQ - Ruk Shuk, uuuuu!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4iN9rO7Zx4 - No Chibity Plush shall ever be defaced in such a way xD Marisa is fine, by the way.
See you guuuys!

1 (maybe 2) Commissions Slots Open! (TAKEN)
General | Posted 14 years agoPrice Guide! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6375693/
Uh huh, just one, but possibly two if the first person only wants… say, just some lineart. Otherwise, I’m only opening one slot right this moment. Whoever notes me first saying that they can pay immediately will get it, because it will be worked on Sunday evening and completed on Monday. Those two days are literally my last days of freedom for a while, so… I regret to say, I may not open commissions again for some time.
Basically, I won’t even be here. From September 1st to the 5th I will be away at the cottage and I’m not sure if there will be any internet access at all. On the 6th, a day at work, and then on the 7th, edumakashuns start up again and I want to make sure I know what my University work load will be like before I start up commissions again.
So, when might I solidly keep my commissions open again? At the earliest, September 12th I might reopen.
Until then, this is the last chance anyone’s got, so grab her if you’re interested!
Anything goes. Lineart, colouring, a driggy-fication, it can be done by Monday.
Anyways, its time for bed. I'll check in the morning to see if someone grabbed it.
EDIT: SPOT TAKEN.

What's Weird About Your Diet?
General | Posted 14 years agoAlright, enough of the sadness sitting at the front of my journal. Let's do something kind of fun! I'm not expecting you guys to repost this or make some sort of meme... thing... out of it. I just figured it would shuffle up some fun discussion and nostalgia. We're going to talk about... food!
Basically, everyone is free to comment and do what I'm about to do.
1) List some food/s that are commonly well enjoyed but you absolutely hate
2) List some food/s that might be considered weird but you have enjoyed them
Likeable foods that I hate
- Watermelon (I get the most 'WHAT?'s from this one. I just hate all melon, watered down sweet things are absolutely gross)
- Spaghetti (No matter how much cheese and sauce you throw on it, its still the most boring pasta in existence)
- Sausage (I'm gay-- I mean, the herbs/spice ruins it for me. I'm fine with franks)
- Cranberry (That has to be the worst aftertaste in existence)
- Grapefruit (Never mind, this is the worst aftertaste in existence)
- Hawaiian pizza (Fruit... on a pizza. It's wrong! ;__;)
Weird foods that I like
- Crickets (I've had them in both BBQ and salt/vinegar flavors)
- Codfish liver oil (You know those gel capsules? I bite them open and savor the oil)
- Tuna and turkey (Together, double meat, its my favorite Subway sammich)
- Spinach (Not too odd, but I prefer it over lettuce any day)
- Dry oatmeal (Right from the package, with flavor 'dust' and all. I used to eat it raw as a kid)
- Giblets and mutton (Baaa~ Cluck cluck~)
What'cha got? >:3

Nooo ;___; Commissions Closed, I'm so sorry.
General | Posted 14 years agoWhat the heck, guys! >: I don't know what just happened.
I woke up today with a tickle in my throat and I was like "Auuh, I don't want a cold to start now. Not while my wisdom teeth sockets are still vulnerable to infection!" that would be the worst! So I took some Calmylin syrup to hopefully kill it early, and off I went to work.
I was fine for the first 3 hours, and then suddenly, holy smokes did my body just suddenly... like... die! I was lurched over the garbage bin so many times, and huddled up in the corner in the back, trying to not do anything. But its so hard to get a break, we're such a horribly busy location (mall, fast food!) and so I had to bare with it. I'm seriously amazed that I didn't spew in front of the customers; I felt like I would so many times.
Even the car ride home had me mad with motion sickness and everything was just tickly and faint and dizzy and weird all day. Sitting down at the computer now has me feeling a little better, but man... how exhausting. My temperature is 99.8, and that's not horrid, but its not nice either.
Long story short, I think I'm sick from exhaustion. Or it could be because I finished my antibiotics/pain killers and now my system is all "No! We need that still!" I don't know...
Either way, I'm in no mood to draw. I need to lay down, and stop feeling so spinny... uhhn... spinny...
I woke up today with a tickle in my throat and I was like "Auuh, I don't want a cold to start now. Not while my wisdom teeth sockets are still vulnerable to infection!" that would be the worst! So I took some Calmylin syrup to hopefully kill it early, and off I went to work.

ART TRADE INFORMATION
For art trades, I’m willing to go only as far as you are willing to go. If you can produce a coloured image for me, I will produce a coloured image for you. Like-wise, if you can only produce a sketch, I will only produce a sketch for you. The more specific you are with what you want, the more specific I will be and its best if you look over my different styles and say “Something in this style, because I can work like that too.” Basically, it’s a trade, and a trade should be fair. However, I do not discriminate and I am perfectly happy to do an art trade with anyone.
SPECIAL: Your Character as a Driggy!
For a mere $7, I can draw your character as my own invented species, a Driggy. Driggies are a mix between dragons/kitties and have short snouts, long tails, a head/neck decor and thighs that could crush bricks. They're pretty adorable. For this, I'll work with a reference of your character and you can specify what's on their head, around their neck, their tail tip, and colours. Otherwise, I'll decide these four things myself. The image will be coloured for free. This is a Driggy
NO NO’S!
- Mecha art
- Bestiality
- Humans
- Vore/Scat/Urination
- Hardcore (slightly lenient…)
HOORAY’S!
- Adorable things
- Mythical creatures
- Ferals
- Softcore
- Nudity
- Chibi characters
- Caricaturization
If there’s anything in here that I didn’t list that you think might be something I’d have a problem with (or that I might love to do!) just let me know. I don’t like to think I’m picky, but it’s a plus for both of us if you make me draw something I’d really, really want to do. And it’s bound to look better, too.
Thanks for taking the time to look over this sheet!

1,000 Page View Kiriban!
General | Posted 14 years agoGuuuys! I'm feeling so simply awesome and I have no idea why. I'm on day 3 of my surgery recovery and its going so well. From what I've heard, many people at this point would still be swollen like hamsters and tender, if not still grunting from socket pains. But for some reason, not me. o__O I'm not feeling any discomfort at all and the swelling has dropped down to pretty much nothing. I've been able to brush, floss, eat, sleep, everything perfectly comfortably without any bleeding at all. I'm having me a miracle recovery or something...
... and I've still got 4 days off until I go back to work! What a wonderful week.
So in light of all that awesomeness, I might re-open commissions very soon so I can still get some money under my belt while I'm out of work. But first, guess what's coming up soon! 1,000 page views, oh my gawsh. ;3; <33
WHAT TO DO:
The first person to reply to this journal with a screenshot of my 1,000th page view is going to get a picture of their character as a Driggy, all sketched and flat coloured, totally free. I'll just need a reference for your character and if you wish to specify the three things that distinguish each Driggy from each other (1) their ear or head accessory (2) what's around their neck (3) their tail tip, then you may. Otherwise, I'll decide those three things for myself. It'll just a single full body shot, flat background colour.
Good luck, and thanks for all the support during my recovery, everyone! ^__^

Back from my surgery :3 STORY TIME!
General | Posted 14 years agoMy appointment was at 11:00am and I woke up around 1:00pm, so I just got back.... mmm... 4 hours ago, and I was pretty lop-sided and dizzy for a while so my mother and I just sat down and enjoyed a movie while I came back to. I'm about 80% clear headed now, but I still wouldn't trust my motor skills so sorry for any typos! I'm also typing with one hand as the other is holding an ice pack to my mouth (it was an extraction of all 4 wisdom teeth, by the way).
So, maybe I'll tell the story!
There was no real problem with any of them, they were all coming in straight, but not fully erupting from the gum, so this can lead to bacteria and junk forming under the gums if not properly taken care if, so it was definitely best to get them out. It was a calm experience for me and it all went by so fast I can hardly remember it. As they sat me down, I got my blood pressure tested and I could hear my heart beat beep. Even though I didn't look it, my heart was racing and beating hard. Whatever, heart, I wasn't actually nervous, I just wanted it done. So she put a little monitor on my index finger and asked if I ever had laughing gas before, and I'm sure I never did. It's strange stuff... you breath it through your nose and in my case, it didn't make me laugh. I didn't even notice any change until I started inhaling deep and slow and I could feel my heart beat going down. At that point she put in the IV on the back of my hand and it really felt like nothing at all, mostly because she slapped my hand a little and that made it go numb. But after that, I started feeling the rest of me going numb and tingly, likely from the gas. It wasn't enough to make me laugh, but it was a strangely delightful feeling. I don't remember her saying anything after that, no warning that I was going to fall asleep (if she even did). But it seems I suddenly fell asleep.
It was totally blank after that and everything went by so fast that I don't even remember the experience of waking up. I didn't even dream. It was just... nothing, and then what felt like 5 seconds later, I was apparently awake. There was gauze in my mouth and my mom next to me helping me up off my... bed? Reclining chair? I don't even know what I was sleeping on, but the surgery lasted an hour and I slept afterward for another hour, apparently. Anyways, mother helped me up and I just smiled and nodded to anything they said/advised. I barely remember the drowsy moment of us going to the car, but I wasn't feeling any pain so I must have been quite content that it was over. I was wobbly for at least an hour, so we drove around to get my prescription at the mall and headed back home. I was pretty aware by this point and able to walk on my own in my house, familiar as it was to me. We popped 2 of the pills into me and I was able to drink them down with a small amount of smoothie with no trouble.
So, then we watched the movie, and when it was done we replaced the gauze in my mouth and now I'm up here typing away what I remember of today. Oh, and I got to keep 3 of my teeth (the 4th they had to break apart) and oh, do they ever look coooool.... We bleached them so they're clean, bloodless and no flesh left on them. They're a neat souvenir, for sure.
Mmmyep. No complications right now and I'm sure there won't be. I'm not gushing blood from my mouth so I assume everything is clotting well, and I'm feeling perfectly fine. My lower jaw is still quite numb (which makes it so much easier to throw freezing ice packets upon) but its slowly disappearing. I'm sure the pain will kick start once the surgery's pain killers run out, but I've got my medication to keep me well. I'm taking good care of myself, not moving my tongue, not spitting liquid, and not drinking with a straw (all are important), and I'm just taking it easy. It feels weird to swallow so I'm limiting that and just letting my mouth stay moist and keeping the gauze still. At this rate, I feel I'll be right as rain by Tuesday (when I have to work again), but if not, I have someone who's eager to cover it for me.
So if there's anyone out there who's nearing that time where they may get their wisdoms out, I hope this is a helpful and reassuring story. Its really nothing, and the surgery part is nothing to be afraid of. They calm you down so well and do everything in just the right order to make you feel comfortable, and you're seriously out like a light before you even see it coming. I sure didn't.
For anyone who has gotten there's out, we can swap stories, and if you've got any advice for me, that's always fun too. ^__^ I won't be doing any commissions/drawing for a while because I'd like to pay attention to my health and make sure I'm doing it all right. But so far, everything is A-okay.
Thanks for reading!

So, what now?
General | Posted 15 years agoWell, I'm super happy to have 40+ watchers in just a week or two. Thank you all for that! I'm feeling quite welcome here already and I enjoy how free the site is in terms of its content and community.
So, what can you expect from me in the future?
I'm still a student at OCAD going into my fourth and final year this fall, so surely I'll be uploading anything nice and painterly/drawer...ly... as that sort of work gets done. But that's school work... and I try to keep my references to cartoon anthro-ism at a minimum when being serious. But surely I'll have some relatable stuff.
Until then, I'm hoping to get a lot of the black and white pencil sketches you see uploaded now done in colour, so I can throw all my black and whites into the scraps where they belong. For now, I'll keep them in the gallery of course. But the Chibity's Expressions series has already been scrapped (as it is my first priority to get coloured) since they were rather bare boned. Cute, but bare.
And that's about it. Just a lot of polishing to do, I suppose, but I could always use some more practice. Speaking of which, I'm open for art trades if anyone wants something done in my style. Similarly, I freak with happy anytime I see Chibity done by someone else, so I'm quite open to anything.
Thanks for watching!

I'm here!
General | Posted 15 years agoAnd with that, I've uploaded everything I really felt was worth uploading. For now, of course. Surely there will be more to come in the future.
I hope you all enjoy what I have to offer right now. What I've uploaded is my personal favorites of drawings and paintings I've done over the past... phew... 5 years? Some might even be older than that, but most of it is recently done artwork from this year or the last. Had to fill up my gallery with something, right?
Most of my internet time before coming here was spent on Youtube and video creation, so you can see a lot more of my productivity over here: http://www.youtube.com/user/Chibity
I've got a bundle of different things on Youtube, definitely not limited to just gameplay, art time lapses and convention shenanigans. *Gets pistol whipped*
