Reference Journal
Posted 13 years agoI'm not much of an artist, myself, at least in the relevant sense, but I do have a few pictures that people have been so generous as to draw of my character. It sort of bothers me to post them on my account, as even with a disclaimer people may mistake them for my own. So rather than doing that, I'm going to compile those that I can find back into a journal, for easy future access.
Cat Bottoms (NSFW) - This one is actually mine. See what I mean about not being an artist? Something I put together back in early '06.
Tentacles, dildos, and a... plunger? (NSFW) - Gift from lykanthrope for winning a Haiku challenge... which I screwed up on.
FREE CRAP (NSFW) - Gift from Flarn
C-Burd (Gore) - Gift from ariffrazalin when he was drawing everyone as burds. And he's gone and decapitated me again.
MEOW MEOW SUCK MEOW (NSFW) - Gift from Zoophilic that caught my by surprise, and
Kitty Gets a Pounding (NSFW) later as shading test.

Submission Removals
Posted 14 years agoSo four of my submissions were taken down; Nice Rack, Fursuit-Safe AR-15, Boolits, Franken-guns.
I find that rather odd, as "Nice Rack" was entirely home-made. The Fursuit-Safe AR was pieced together from a number of parts, factory and modified, in a unique creation of my own design, the picture of Boolits, most of those were handloads I had put together, several of which were brass I had formed and boolits I had cast. And Franken-Guns. That one contained a store-bought Beretta 1201FP that had had a few upgrades, I could see that being an issue. But it also contained a 1911-based carbine that I had manufactured from what is legally a block of steel.
As per the AUP, "Photographs of manufactured items which you have not personally developed and created are not permitted...", and all four of those pictures do contain something that I have created on my own.
Anyone who knows exactly what their definition of "created" is care to clarify that for me?

Firearm Lubrication
Posted 15 years agoSomeone just brought to my attention this little article.
It's especially disconcerting to me since I've been using CLP since forever, on almost everything. I've never really had any problems with it thickening up like that, but I tend to run light coats. Tried Miltec-1, but didn't really like it that much, since it seems too thin to me. I've used white lithium on the 1919, and it's fine for that, but I had never really though that motor oil would be as good as, even better, than oils designed specifically for firearms.

Marlin Firearms
Posted 15 years agoClosing, apparently.
http://www.wfsb.com/news/22963445/detail.html
Lets hope this isn't true.
Edit: Marlin isn't going out of production, but rather moving their factory, thanks to being bought out by Remington. Now we just have to hope quality doesn't suffer.
Jessica Kallam, a spokeswoman with Madison, N.C.'s Remington Arms Co. Inc., which acquired Marlin two and a half years ago, said the Connecticut plant will close by June 2011 and employees would be offered severance and help finding jobs. She said Marlin is relocating its manufacturing operations to an undetermined site.

Aw snap
Posted 16 years agoThe healthcare bill passed the House by a slim margin of 220-215, AP reports.
This, despite nearly unanimous opposition from Republicans, save RINO Joseph Cao. The AP article does state, pretty clearly, that some of the other "myths" from the "deathers" are going to come true, as well.
The bill they're going through with is Dingel's HR 3962. Dingel has submitted a nationalist health care plan during each and every term he's served since he took his father's seat.

Senate to vote on concealed weapons measure
Posted 16 years agoIt's going to be an amendment to a defense policy bill, barring the vote today, to allow people who have a legal permit to carry a concealed firearm be able to carry across state lines. Many states already have reciprocity agreements, and even in those states where "you have to show that you can stand on two feet", crime is lower, and violence from permit holders is still much lower than non-permit holders. The Brady campaign came out with misleading statistics, blaming 19 shootings in the last year on permit holders. Of course, what they forgot to say is that 18 of those were ruled self-defense, and the 19th is still in court. Chuck Schumer claims that a 16 year old from Vermont can have a permit, and then carry a backpack of guns into New York City, ignoring of course the fact that a 16 year old, by federal law, can't purchase firearms.
I would like to see this bill passed, if only to watch in amazement as state lines don't become a violent bloodbath. It should also keep both truckers and tourists from being preyed upon where laws insure that they're defenseless.

Philly: Assault Rifle, Ammo Found In Car Trunk
Posted 16 years agohttp://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/news.....Found_In_Trunk
I'm pretty much just nitpicking and bitching from here on in.
First off, bringing a firearm of any kind to check in with your parole officer is insanely idiotic. The other stuff makes it all the more worse. His friend seems to have him beat, though.
On the other hand, though, this was no "Assault Rifle", nor was it even an "Assault Weapon". You'll notice, when they pan across the length of the rifle, it has a thumbhole stock and plain muzzle. According to the '94 AWB, this is not an "Assault Weapon" at all. It's a ban compliant Norinco. Neither was the SKS, which was manufactured before the '94 ban, and came with a 10 round non-detachable magazine. If you really want to call them out, it's not even an AK-47 like they keep calling it. It's a civilian model Type 56, which closely resembles the AK-47.
It'd be a shame if he really did have a 100 round drum magazine(and thank god they didn't say clip!) for that. Those things are pretty rare, and go for almost as much as a post-'94 AK goes for. It seems somewhat suspicious that there was a 30 round magazine, a 100 round drum, and nearly 100 rounds between the two. And getting 7.62x39 in such small quantities is usually pretty tricky, someone probably organized a community group buy.
I'm sort of wondering who made the stock on his AK clone, too. It's kinda nice, and might look better on my Saiga than the wood.

0bama says things.
Posted 16 years agoPosting this here, as it was a response to this.
Attacking legitimate U.S. companies isn't going to help anyone in Mexico. The U.S. does not supply more than a small fraction of arms to the Mexican cartel, and in fact, the two Barret rifles that were recently recovered in a raid on a cartel were from the U.S., but they were sent from the government to the Mexican government. Strange they're in the hands of the criminals now, then.
0bama's pledge to help weaponize the Mexican government is going to go the same way it did when Clinton did it; a large percentage of those arms are going to go right to the cartel, one way or another. I sure hope they don't get helicopters. The best thing that the 0bama administration can do right now is to lock down the border. The reluctance of the current administration to continue forward with H.R. 1900 shows how little they care in the actual problem, and that they're more interested in passing their own personal agendas on the piggyback of the crisis. Mexican's aren't going to get full-auto AK-47s and M16s from the U.S., they're illegal here. They're getting them from Venezuela, North Korea, and many of the arms are coming from the Mexican government themselves.
So, if anyone's reading this, close the border, stop the import of drugs and you'll stop the flow of money to cartels, stop the flow of immigrants and you'll keep the drugs and violence from crossing the border, stop anyone from crossing unauthorized, and you'll stop all the other lawlessness that goes on because of it. However, infringe upon the rights of American citizens, who have committed no crime, and you'll simply show you're not qualified to hold office, and have no interest in fixing the problem, simply that you're trying to erode further on the rights guaranteed by the constitution, which the government cannot lawfully tread upon.

Comment here and I'll answer them.
1- I'll answer with something random about you.
2- I'll dare you to try something
3- I'll say a color I associate with you.
4- I'll tell you something I like about you.
5- I'll tell you something I always remember about you / a first memory about you.
6- I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7- I'll ask you something I always wanted to ask you.
8- If I do this for you, you must put this in your journal.

I've done something horrible to the internet.
Posted 17 years agoI was on 4chan earlier, and there was a thread to post your home defense shotguns, so as a joke I grabbed the biggest dildo I could find (courtesy of Jangbu and FurryStyle.com) and took a picture. Then someone else reposted it in another thread. From there, it got out of hand. See for yourself.

Weekend at the farm.
Posted 18 years agoMe, my mate, and his step-father went out to the farm in the country, and brought a Subaru Forester full of guns, ammunition, and breakable family heirlooms, and proceeded to make use of the three of them.
While most of us stayed too busy to record any of this, we did get one video, but I had a very small part in this, as by the time I stuffed my magazine tube, all the kittens were destroyed. I spent all day today cleaning my guns and decapping and sizing brass, thought I came up only getting about 45 of the 80 .223 brass back. The .45/70 I got 39 of 40 on, but a few are looking a little stepped upon. I didn't bother with the shotgun hulls, as most of them were roll-crimped slugs and 3" super-mag buckshot.
Also, 3" Winchester Super-X Magnum High Velocity Slugs will end your day very fast, especially shooting fast out of a Benelli style inertia driven action. They each have about the same amount of energy as my Impreza does if dropped from a foot off the ground.
The one video we did get I youtubed here
