General | Posted 14 years agoIt has been a year since my last journal entry...and I do know there are people curious about my game project.
Well. First of all. I have to apology for the late update on that.
Our programer had to take off because of his education, and he did came back for a few days after he said he finished...and now I don't hear any more from him. May be he is busy again, or something.
But in the same time, since I started taking full time courses with an Art school, I simply don't have enough time for my project now. For those who does know, I'm taking a Game Art and Design BA course. It may take 2-3 more years to finish it, since I have been taking it for a year now.
I'm not sure how many time I'd have after graduation, since I'd be working. But i will find some time to work on the game project. Even if I have to restart it later, I will finish it. Making my story into a game is the main reason why I chose my major too. Though for those who has/can contact me...you may see a 3D model from my character rather soon I think. I do hope to at least get one done this year. That will require me to use my extra time to sit in an anatomy class though...and hopefully I will get better on it. Not sure I'd start doing Zbrush in this year though.
So now my time is homework+Study+Research+School.
And I do have a bunch of gay shape shifter romance story on my itouch for some bed time story...it helps me sleep.

Furry Card game, Instints Part 2

Down at the bottom right side, each creature card will have numbers in hundreds or thousands in it. It should be in the range of 500 to 5000. They are both the attack point and the life point of the creature. The Power is how much damage the creature can deal, and how much it can take. Power will recover at each ended and the beginning of the turn, and the damage will be keep until it recovered. During any adjustment of the power, the highest number will always be how much damage it can deal. 0 means defeated immediately.
Example 1: If a creature’s Power is 2000, and the opponent has decreased it for 1000 with a Blessing card, the creature can still deal 2000 damage, but he is only 1000 from being defeat until the end of the turn.
Example 2: If a creature’s Power is 2000, and the player has increased it to 3000, in the meantime, the opponent decreased it for 2000. The Creature can deal 3000 damage, but can only take 1000 damage before it’s defeated. However, if the opponent uses another Blessing Card to reduce another 1000 Power of the creature, even though the Creature can deal 3000 damage, its Power is reduced to 0 and defeated.
Abilities
First Strike - A creature that has this ability can deal damage before a creature without First Strike during a battle.
Double Strike - A creature that has this ability can twice during a turn.
Defender - A creature that has this ability can take damage for other creatures on the field.
Stealth - A creature that has this ability will not take damage when attacking another creature.
Burst X - When a creature that has this ability successfully defeated another creature, the owner of the defeated creature lose #X cards from the top of the deck.
Flying - A creature that has this ability cannot be attack by a creature without Flying or Long-Range ability.
Long-Range - A creature that has this ability can attack creature with Flying ability.
Berserker - A creature that has this ability will not dead, even if it is defeated, until the end of the turn.
Alpha Command - All and only Alpha rank creature has this ability. When Alpha is on the Front Line every creature on the Front Line gains an extra 1000 Power.
Commanding Meter
On every creature card’s left side will show a number of symbols. It is a meter of the creature’s authority in the Pack. Higher rank will have higher authority, and that will give player more chances to play more Blessing or Command Cards. When the creature is in the Front Line, it does nothing. When the creature is in the Back Line, it becomes the resources that can be used as cost to play Blessing and Command Cards. The spent resources will be recharged at every beginning of a turn.
Some Blessing Card can be use on the Back Line creatures. If the blessed creature moved from Back Line to Front Line, all blessing will be removed.

General | Posted 15 years agoBase on the simple world setting I have put down, there are natural land, spirits or gods, and tribals.
Almost the default setting of the fantasy world.
So, tribals are different packs of animals, they pack with their own species, and some has some member that is not.
They live with the nature and spirits' blessing.
That changes into cards, then we have Creature Cards and Blessing Cards. Blessing is almost just like magic or spell cards in other card game.
The third type of card is call Command Cards. As a park, every leader (Alpha) will put out commands. They are words are to obey, and that does not only focus on the rules of packs.
Creature Cards, follow by the setting of pack society. There are 4 classes for each member.
The classes' name has not yet decided. There should be Warrior, Shaman, and Scout, but I don't know what I should call for the fourth class.The number of class effects the game play greatly, and I need it to be 4.
And of course, they are all placed under the basic ranking system:
Alpha – The leader of the group.
Beta – The second-in-command of the group.
Gamma – In trainings, Mid-rank pack members.
Delta – Usually lone, antisocial member of the group.
Omega – The lowest rank of the group.
*Delta: This rank usually means not specific commit pack members, who also called wanderers. They are the only ones that can follow other species’ leader. In other words, Delta rank is where other species can join one pack because other ranks will only follow the same specie’s leader.
Consider there are other words used for ranking in other species, I think I will need consider using them as well. Only if it could never confuse players.

General | Posted 15 years agoI'm back! Just finished my last final yesterday. Although next quarter is starting next week, I still have this week to play with. I found Areku's new story about League of Legend Characters, and I think I'm going to play it.
Other than that, well. I have a new game project that will be put up here, slowly I guess.
My old game project will still be going on, but it pretty much is stucked at this point. Our programer hasn't be able to do anything, and needless to say I was busy, too.
I will not give up on my game project, eventhough it may not be able to finish anytime sooner.
I will see what I will be learning during the next few quarters in my Game Design BA program.
Anyway, I had a class that require students to design and make a card game or board game. It does not have to be finished, but the point is to learn how we make games.
Now, guess what.

I'm like a ghost here now. Aside of going to classes, I tried to make myself busy by doing house work and homework. Now I gotta a home, you know, lot of works.

I didn't get much of a good grade last term, so I need to make it up a little bit.
Or that will means I will stop attending the art school.

Another long time
General | Posted 15 years agoThis is the 5th week for my first semester in The Art Institute, as an game arts & design student.
Homework are fine, but a lot of them...I only hope that I can learned what I wanted to learn.
Eh, I shouldn't put the school name here, should I?
Never mind, it is not a big deal about school, mostly is about how well I can do.
So, yeah.
Although school work was busy, i have been using little time to play games, and not doing my project.
It's just...I noticed that whenever my instructor put on an example of a work, from a game or movie, I am about 90% not sure what that is.
Either I never seem it, or just never played it.
I was careless to these things, blame myself.
So, I have been using those little times to play 3D games that are kind new or famous right now...
Overlord 2 (finished, recorded and on youtube), divinity 2 (Finished), Sacred 2, The Sims 3 (I got bored), Dragon age: Origin...
and some old games as elder scrolls 3 and 4, Fable the lost chapter...
so far I only found these. I'm not sure there are others that I should put my hands on because I only got a PC to play with.
So....enough for now.
Good thing is, i got some time to sketch more in school, can be use for designing the monsters in the game.
And learning how to work with photoshop........
well, it was homework too
and I doubt that I did a good job.
I made 3 wallpapers by using the characters Kai drew for me for this game.
They are in the project folder which people who joined this game project can access to, in dropbox.
I don't know if I should upload them here...
Homework are fine, but a lot of them...I only hope that I can learned what I wanted to learn.

It won't bother me for writing, usually, but after spending sometimes on making maps for the game...whenver I try to think hard, I will start to remember all the details of ...never mind.
So, another bad news.
I decided to re-make the first project myself...All the game project process delayed for all different reasons, people are getting busy, some lost their interest...
so anyway, since the project is waiting for our programmar to write a different battle system script in Ruby language
I decided to use the extra time I have, or will have, to make the first one better, and maybe longer.
Other than I can't draw those little character with dots..32 bits? I donno the word.
Maybe I will have to draw up some monsters graphic.
Since it is not a fantasy world where you can use magic, any magical life are not going to come up...so mainly, hmm
Lets say, think about monster hunter, that kind "Beasts" is what monster I need for this world, Of course, not always so huge and big,
Hope I can manage it...Although I doubt it.

A NEW STORY!?

I think I had a dream about something, something that I feel...familier.
It is a feeling I get when I dream of something that makes me want to write a story. A story that either totally base on my dream, or include scenes from the dream.
Almost like..visions.
This time, apperantly I can't remember what I dreamed. I can't tell, but the feeling of I dreamed something keep comes up to me.
And I think I start to think about something, almost day dreaming, over some "ideas" which is almost the visions I see from dreams.
And...well, I cried over those "ideas." Not totally sure about what happens or happened.
I decide to write things down whenever this kind things happens. Not sure if anyone else may have similar situations...
Anyway. This came out to me, and I'm not even totally sure about what has or ever going on in the story. But I think I will need to start writing...again. And a lot.

No, maybe figure yourself...to how to rephrase it in English.
Vocabularies:
Ler - you (as in more then one)
Diha - tiger.
Les - owns, belongs to
Moreya - more
Gihhaka - Actively, be active
dihamo - tiger-like, tiger-related. something tiger-ish
remna - also, too, the same
Ti - this
mogula - year, a year.
dihalas - a group of tigers, more than one tigers, tigers. all tigers.
la sia - for (something), because, to.
The last sentence is certain to be phrase as "The year of tigers"

Subject + *Object + Verb + *Adj. + (Other/extra)
When there is an Object, and an Adj. in the sentence, the Adj will only goes to the cloest noun at its left, which means it only goes to the Object.
In this case, or any other case that is similar, when there is an Object in a sentence, there will be NO adj. can be use on Subject.
No matter how much comma you put after adj, and put another adj, all the adj. will goes to Object when there is an Object in the sentence.
So if there are any needs to use Adj. for Subject, you MUST make a sentence out of it first.
For example:
The big fat cat just ate my extra large pizza.
This sentence has adj. words for subject and object, but if to use the language that I made, it will have to break in to 2 sentence.
The cat is big and fat. It ate my extra large pizza.
It sould be weird in English, of course, but it is common my the language I made.
by the way, this sentence will not work either.
The cat, that is big and fat, just ate my extra large pizza.
Usually there will be no any comma that can be put before the Adj. (if there is no Adj. in the sentence, then it will be after the verb) in this language.
But there is a situation where you have to put a comma after subject.

It took me a while to get use to it, and download all those things I need.
I have been busy on making the travel plan and visa application stuff, and as well as learning how to make maps.
Actually, is "how to think about making maps."
some of them are useless, I have to say.
And
I have begin doing something in the japanese version right now.
To make up a new language.
It was actually related to all the stories that is related to the game, so I decide to do it a little bit early.
The rules of grammars are kind simple, and almost done.
and all I need now will be the dictionary.
It took me a while to get use to it, and download all those things I need.
