Posted 12 years agoFirst off, with it being summer and all I am switching to being a FULL TIME ARTIST for the time being, meaning a few things:
- Commissions will be done a lot faster because I'll try to work 8-9 hours a day on them
- Prices will stay the same, but I will be offering by-the-hour commissions at $9/hour.
About pay/hour commissions, they will start with a non-refundable down payment based on the minimum hours it will take. Once the art is done, you will pay the rest if it takes more than the minimum. For now, these are one character only.
Painted headshots: 3 hour down payment ($27)
Painted busts: 4 hour down payment ($36)
Painted full body: 7 hour down payment ($63)
That's basically it! And I'll be redoing my schedule to add Saturday and Sunday as my days-off and not Sunday and Monday.

Something's I've noticed...
Posted 12 years agoSo yesterday I was listening to "LadyCast" and they made some VERY VALID POINTS when it comes to being an artist and I was to make a few of my own points.
- On my days off, which is Sunday and Monday for me, I like to draw a LOT of personal art because simply.. it's my day off and personal art gives me a lot of opportunity to practice and grow in my art skills and it's a great stress reliever. ASKING ME TO WORK ON YOUR COMMISSION DURING THESE DAYS OFF IS NOT ALLOWED. It's my days off for a REASON. And honestly, don't pull that "I paid you to do something, so you need to provide that on MY TIME; not yours."
NO, you're paying me to bring your imagination to life through art, I am not an electrician, or whatever. I am an ARTIST, and most importantly a HUMAN BEING. Human beings need DAYS OFF TO RELAX. Which Ladycast even pointed out that furries forget that. Even though you pay me, I am NOT AN ART SLAVE. And honestly, I have a very decent turn-around time, it's less than a month, sometimes it's less than 2 weeks. So my schedule is obviously a good one because I'm not behind.
- Second, if you order a commission from me: I have sent WIPs and stream your art and you've seen progress... DO NOT ALL OF A SUDDEN DECIDE TO CHANGE THE ENTIRE COMMISSION. If I'm only SKETCHING IT, then yes, change is possible... but when I'm more than halfway done. There are options: you can pay 50%-80% extra of what you paid and I can redo it, or you can accept it for how it is. Final. I do not refund for things like that.
- Next, if anyone hasn't noticed yet. I am a FEMALE. Not only that, a STRAIGHT FEMALE. GOD FORBID THERE'S A FEMALE ARTIST ON FA. Honestly, I have received so many misogynist notes here and it's disappointing and hurtful. Do people not realize that a HUGE CHUNK of popular artists here are FEMALE?! (i.e Blotch, JailBird, TaniDaReal, etc.). I will draw what I want and if anyone, KIDDING OR NOT; says "It'd be better if it was a male" or anything similar to that on any of my art, you will be blocked.
Just thought I'd point those things out.

Posted 12 years agoOkay so, even though have plenty of money for food now; I need to get new glasses and the total will be about $400. (120$ for an appointment and frames/glasses can range to $200 ish). My current ones are so scratched up that I can't see out of them correctly. Aaaand I legally need glasses to drive and i would like to see things lol.

I'm very sorry that $2 chibis are taking longer than expected, I'm currently packing to move into my summer dorm on Thursday and its very stressful because they're very strict on cleaning plus: the cafeteria that gave free all-you-can-eat food to students is closed until August soo I need to buy my own food now and learn how to cook... MORE STRESS.
I'll TRY to stream tonight but I'm not 100% sure if I'm able to.

THIS WILL BE SHIPPED TO YOU ($15 shipping from Alaska). You DO NOT have to pay shipping until the sculpture is DONE.
I will send WIPs and I will be on tinychat while I make it so you can see progress and such.
I sadly do not have examples, but I have 3 years of experience with sculpting in high school and have been taught proper sculpting techniques from multiple high school teachers.
The supplies are $52 of the cost of labor, and they're all HIGH QUALITY MATERIAL that I have used in the past
