~~~ IT'S ALIIIIIVE! ~~~

*ahem* I mean, hello again! So its the penultimate week of August 2013 and its been...how long since the last update? WHAT? MARCH 2012? Oh wow, heh, my apologies everyone. @_@;;; Entirely my fault. If you want a creative excuse as to why I took so long, I guess you could say I was a little TOO into my fast food for the year and a half its been since I last updated this and I'm frankly surprised I can even reach for the keyboard these days! But of course, the actual reason why its been so long is incredibly simple: I've just been too busy with other things during that time. 2012 was a surprisingly big year and I'm still really busy nowadays, perhaps even more than last year too, so it hasn't been easy keeping track. But today, I decided to put my foot down (heh, figuratively speaking) and give an update.

~~~ Possible New Contest Soon ~~~

First of all, in order to further help spread awareness for blob art all over FA, we now accept fav suggestions. We should of accepted fav suggestions from the very start, but now any member of this group can link to blob art they've found that they'd like the group to see either through journal comments or shout comments or via notes or what-have-you and we'll...say, 8-9 times out of 10 fav it. :D Of course, if you want to make something specifically FOR the group, then please note us the pic you wanna work on when its done and we'll upload it with your permission to the group itself (doing this would lessen duplicates of the same pic around FA and such, that's why) but where general blob art's concerned, link us anything you want and if we want the other members to see it, we'll fav it! :D

On top of that, we've had some very interesting suggestions from a couple of people here. One of the users of these suggestions is now suspended/banned, but I'm still going to count his suggestion in anyway as its interesting enough. But before I get to that,  Flexico suggested that we should run another contest soon. Granted, we haven't held a contest since October 2011 and that was just to finalise our mascot so to run more contests and polls is always a good idea, so long as a good idea's attached. It turns out Flexico's idea's FANTASTIC. His idea for our next contest is to see who can "come up with the most unusual way of working up to blob-size quickly". Granted, I think we'll have to put some additional rules to this as this is mostly a G/PG-rated group buuuuuuut we'll see how and when we can hold a contest like that in the future. We'll certainly try and get something like this started VERY soon compared to how delayed other things have been, that's for sure. ;3

~~~ The Blobfurs Group...outside of FA? ~~~

The other suggestion was from the now-suspended user  Intelminer2. His suggestion was to set up an IRC channel that's dedicated to this group. Perhaps, using the generic example he gave us, #blobfurs on Furnet or similar. I'm going to drop the royal "we" for a sec and just say that, well, I have no previous experience in setting up IRCs and have only had experience in how to go *into* IRCs. Buuuuut if enough people here would like to have an IRC channel branching off of this group to exist, we'll see what happens. Made me ponder if anyone wanted this group to expand further in this same way onto other services too, services FA users typically use. Perhaps a Blobfurs group on Steam too, maybe? If you want it, we'll see what we can do. But as ever, if you have any suggestions at all on how to make the most out of this group, then by all means tell us what's on your mind!

And that's about it for this long-long-LONG delayed journal entry. Thank you to everyone who's joined us and unless I fall straight back into the immense void busyness / procrastination / (if you want to imagine I'm like this) constant, distracting overeating that has pulled me away a bit from managing the group, then prepare yourselves for a LOT more updates and a lot more things happening through this group. It's been a while, but hopefully it'll all be worth the weight.

Howdy everyone, it HAS been a while hasn't it?

The admin of this account had a bit of a busy time lately and hasn't been that good at maintaining schedules if any (that and time went by waaaaay too fast ;3) so apologies for the lack of action. As ever, any suggestions on what we can do as a community next, go ahead and give us a comment with anything you have in mind. Also if you have any peices of blob art you want featured on this group, then link us it and we'll most likely fav it! And if you want to make art specifically for the group, then note us with whatever you've made and we'll post it to our gallery after asking humbly for your permission. And we share, as the lard as our witness (pun so intended it actually literally hurts ;3 ), there WILL be increased activity here! Well...so long as we can still reach the keyboard as easily as we still can now, at least~

Also even though the club has literally just been made and currently has one member, we couldn't help but mention this other club here as chances are very, very likely we'll be affiliating with it very soon, considering how open we are on every stance of ultra-obesity. A member of our group,  PhealGud has now made a neat little group by the name of  lifesupportfatfurs, this is basically celebrating the realistic unhealthy aspects of ultra-obesity on top of such massive obesity already. We do know that not all who are so into blob furs are going to be interested in the realistic, unhealthy and medical aspects of super-obesity but for those that are interested in that stuff too, we decided to plug them here! (now THAT pun was unintended, though we wish somehow it was) So now that y'all are aware of this group too, if you wanna join that one as well if this stuff interests you, you now know where to go.

Any suggestions on anything more we should do to get the whole community participating together on something or if you want to even contribute any original blobfur art to our group, note us and let us know. Yep, we were a little late to start with this but you have until Thursday 27th of October, 6pm GMT to give our mascot a name and species. Our mascot's located in our submissions and is our avatar so you can't really miss it (we say it as it's gender neutral for now but won't be by Saturday ;3). Tell us your ideas! Hello! Moderator here, long time no see. First of all, wow. It's not winter yet and yet I think I already had hibernation. Of course it isn't hard, being...you know...what we are. ;3

Anyway, first things first: YIKES indeed. Sorry for this group being so inactive. Many things have come up behind-the-scenes that has prevented keeping up being that easy. However, things are far easier to keep track of now so things will be a lot more active from here on in, cross our unhealthy hearts!

Hello! This is  revengeboot here, owner and head admin of this little group here, simply welcoming all members to to the blobfurs group! :D

Like it says in the profile bio, we're just starting out and so things are a little on the early stagey side of things but I have to say, it's been less than a day and its already wonderful to already see over 20 people join this group. It's a little more people on the first day than was expected so...thank you all for joining already! ^^

And yes, that does mean that if you watch this account, you automatically are a member. It's as simple as that. So, welcome all~ :D

Any questions over the group or ideas you want to share for this group, feel free to share them by either replying to this journal or just noting us and we'll see what we can do! ^^ Also, if there are any REALLY good art of blobfurs around FA that you want us to feature via adding to the group's favourites, then please note us with links to them too! There'll also be an option where you can be able to submit art that you might want to make purely for the group, should you want to...but first we have to find a good e-mail service to make the address to so you can submit that art to us (or alternatively just submit that onto FA and link us via note, that works too).
