Spreading the word: NeverMown's cat in need of help
Posted 2 months agoBlinkblinkblink/The Blinking One's update (I have a puppy)
Posted 3 months agoHeya, everyone! It's me, Blinkblinkblink. Well, that's my username. As you are all aware by now, Furaffinity now has the option to give us a Display Name. I've been Blinkblinkblink for a very long time now; for over a decade, it seems. Man am I old! Well as of now, I decided to have my Display Name as "The Blinking One" because I think it gives me a more unique name hehe
Well apart from that, I've been doing ok, but life always seems to want to make me busy. Busy at work, and now busy with a puppy.
To explain:
Last September 2024, my dog, Arya, became ill. Thanks to so many kind people, I was able to give her the treatment she needed. It was a scary time, but I managed to get her back to health. But it was also a busy time, having to do work as well as treating my dog.
I thought that things would go well afterwards, but it something very unexpected occurred. My house was under renovation last October 2024 and it was only on March 2025 were the renovations completed. During the renovations, a stray dog snuck into my home and impregnated Arya. I don't know when, but since dogs give birth in 2 months, I suspect that she got pregnant late October or early September 2024, as she gave birth in late December 2024.
It was only in the morning that I found out that she gave birth. She gave birth to 4 babies, but only 1 survived. I had to go to the vet and they extracted a dead puppy that was stuck in her uterus. That cost me about $200 equivalent in my country.
I didn't want anyone who donated for Arya's medicine to donate to me further if they wanted to, so I asked for help in private to some of my friends (thank you so much for your help, btw ) I just felt that the previous donors have already done me a kindess, and I felt like I would have taken advantage of them if I asked for more donations.
The surviving puppy is a Rottweiler-Street Dog mix. He's male and he has brown fur. I didn't plan on getting any more puppies, but after some consideration, I decided to keep him mostly because he's Arya's puppy, and I love my baby dearly. So I have kept him since.
His name is Sharpe, btw, and he's now 5 months old ^^ He is such a pain in the ass, because the worst part about owning a puppy is how destructive they can be. He has dug holes, bit and tore apart some of my tools and he keeps messing with my plants. Despite this, I love him and I'll do what I can to raise him properly.
Well apart from that, I've been slowly returning to commissioning, but I have to lessen my spending of commissioned artwork. Apart from keeping a roof over my head, paying my bills and buying food, I now have a new baby to take care of hehe
Anyway, I hope you are having a good 2025 so far!

Dog Update + Wild Assault Gameplay Impression
Posted 10 months agoHello, everyone! Good day!
It took a while because the vet was apparently out of the town for a couple weeks, plus being busy with work, but I finally managed to get to meet the vet yesterday and she confirmed that my dog, Arya, will need to get well first before her Vaccines. Apparently the vaccines will only cost about 50-60 USD equivalent, more or less, and I may not have to ask for further donations because the scheduled vaccination date is mid-November. So unless I get further bills, then I am positive that I will be able to save enough money for when it's time to vaccinate Arya.
Apart from her upcoming vaccinations, she has stopped coughing now ^^ So that is very good =)
Regardless, thank you all so much for helping Arya get better. Love you all so much for helping my darling get better ^_^
Now about a couple weeks ago, a "Gamma Test" demo of the Furry Shooter game "Wild Assault" started and it ended about a couple days ago. Now because it was a Gamma Test, there were of course bugs/glitches along with unbalanced broken weapons and abilities (Jack the Wolf Sniper being the most commonly complained character) and the test was limited to one game mode and map (though there is a second map in development).
Despite all that, I can say that I had a lot of fun playing it ^^ It was quite addicting to the point that I spent most of my free time after work and tending to Arya just to play the game. One character that I main'd as was Ryan the Bull (surprise, surprise) and I absolutely adore him! Though of the three abilities that he has, the smoke grenade was pretty useless in my opinion. I rarely used it.
This test also came brought in a weapons attachment system that allowed for the upgrading of weapons stats like Rate of Fire, Range, Accuracy and handling to name a few (no attachments so far to increase the damage) and I think the best weapons for Ryan, in my opinion, are the NK-47 and the Bizon SMG (especially if they are upgraded with an attachment which increases RPM, though I ultimately ended up using the NK-47 more (mostly because of the higher damage and accuracy)
What also appealed to me about this game is that while it's a Hero Shooter, it also has some elements of Battlefield due to it's rather large Map and its 20vs20 player size. I quite like large player vs player modes ^^
Apparently they will soon announce details for Early Access soon. Depending on the price, and if you like the gameplay (there are several on Youtube and Twitch), I think this game is worth buying after several fixes, balancing and nerfs (all within reason, of course) and more maps! I mean I didn't really get tired of the same map during the test, but a variety of maps is a must!

I think it is only right that I try to help him out in whichever way I can, especially since I've experienced a similar situation a couple weeks ago.
Please consider helping him out when you can: Either donate, share his journal or at least give a kind word and prayers that all will be well.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Pet Update: Almost all of the medicine has been bought
Posted 11 months agoHello everyone! Good day! I have a second update in regards to my dog, Arya.
Firstly to those not up to date:
1) Initial journal requesting financial help: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10956674/
2) First Update: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/58171067/
As the title above describes, I have bought almost all of the medicine for my dog. Receipt here: https://imgur.com/a/CNKWQQj
Unfortunately they were out of stock for the remaining "Liv.52 Forte" pills, but thankfully I have way more than enough to medicate Arya until they restock.
Now as mentioned in the first journal above, the goal was for 200 USD equivalent in funds for my dog to get the rest of her meds (as the first vet visit was quite costly) and later on for her vaccine shots and utilities and treats for the remaining amount. The first half of the goal was reached last week thanks to so many kind people who donated. But upon further thought, I have paused the donations for the second half of the goal just in case the price for the vaccines shots may not cost as much. Another thing that was unfortunate besides the lack of stock for the remaining medicine was that the vet was unavailable today, so they couldn't give me an amount for her vax shots nor could they tell me if Arya needed her shots this month or much later after she has fully recovered.
Now as for Arya herself, before she was having a bad cough and it looked almost like she was having a hard time breathing. Thankfully, her coughs have lessened significantly and are less loud in comparison to last week.
Anyway, I would once again like to thank everyone for having donated for Arya's medications. Like seriously, you are all such amazing and wonderful people! Thank you, thank you!
I'll make an update again showing a receipt for the remaining medicines (and hopefully they won't run out of stock the next time I visit) and I will update on the how and when for her vax. Thank you and have a great day!

I need your help, please: My dog is sick
Posted 11 months agoI feel ashamed of having to request this, but I feel like I have no choice.
My Uncle loves dogs, and he has bought several types of breeds over the course of several years. When I was young, he had Labradors. When I was in my teens and early 20's, he had Rottweilers, and now recently for the past few years he has bought German Shepherds. When I was in my mid 20's, he bought a female Rottweiler pup whom he named Arya (after the character from A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones) whom I had a part in raising. She had bonded with me and she was always so happy to see me when I visited.
Several years ago, I had planned to stop commissioning for a while because one of my Uncle's other dogs had become pregnant and I wanted to become a pet owner. Unfortunately, as it was her first litter, she only produced three and they all passed away T_T. After over a year, my Uncle bought another dog (German Shepherd) and because of having to move to a smaller area, he did not have enough space so he gave Arya to me <3 And she has been with me for over 4 years now. She's over 7 years old now.
Recently, since last weekend, she has had a bad cough and I've had to take her to the vet. She is suffering from ear mites and Anaplasmosis.
Here are images for the diagnosis, receipt and test results (3 images): https://imgur.com/a/qTf7Eqr (They misspelled her name, btw. And I had to censor some details for privacy)
I was only able to purchase some of the medication due to some financial difficulties. And I do not wish to ask my Uncle because he has his own finances to worry about.
Again, I am ashamed to ask, but I would like to kindly ask if some of you, my friends and followers, if you can lend some financial aid for my dog. I need at least an equivalent of 200 USD converted to my country's currency. 100 will be used for her remaining medication, 50 or more will be for her vaccinations when she is fully recovered and the remaining amount will be used to buy her utilities and treats. If anyone is willing to donate 5-10 USD (please message me through notes for the paypal), I would be very grateful to you for helping her recover.
Thank you all in advance to anyone willing to help!
EDIT:
I will keep track of how many have donated.

Update on my life and commissions
Posted 12 months agoHello, everyone! Blinkblinkblink here. I hope that you are all having a good day/afternoon/evening. If anyone is interested on my recent activity, well, things have slowed down at least as commissions go.
I've been really busy IRL for the past few months, and I've had a lot of bills to pay. Days have been stressful and I have, for the most part, been exhausted physically and mentally. I wish better days for myself, but at least for this month so far, I've at least had some fun to cheer me up.
I have about a few weeks ago, I have bought myself a new CPU for my computer. This is the first time in two years that I've upgraded my PC. My next goal is to save up for a GPU (Probably an RTX 4070 or Super, and maybe a 4070ti if I'm lucky).
But because of that, I've decided to go on a commissioning hiatus for an indefinite amount of time. Besides being burnt out and kinda short on ideas, having bought the new CPU a few weeks ago made me kinda realize what I've missed having focused so much on what to commission next.
I do have one commission that is still in progress, but I think this will be my last upload for quite a long while. I hope you understand the lack of activity, but it is what it is. I do hope to get back to commissioning one day, but as explained in an older journal of mine (see here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10803057/ ) I think I will still continue to slow down on commissioning if I come back from hiatus.
To everyone who has been with me for these many years: You are the best! Thank you so kindly for all your support.

Apparently there's this Furry Shooter Game (Wild Assault)
Posted a year agoSo for the game's roster, we've got a wolf, a skunk, a rabbit, a tiger, a bear and THIS sexy guy...Wow. Now they've got my interest for OBVIOUS reasons lol
Still, I will restrain myself until I see more of this game and what people think about it because it's apparently in a Alpha Test stage atm so it might be buggy and broken.
A talk about Commissioning and Vanity
Posted a year agoHello, everyone! I hope that you are having a nice day!
I believe that the subject that I'm going to discuss is rather important, because I believe that I have something of a problem that I've had since I started being a commissioner back in 2015. I think it started slowly, and I've only realized it a few years later.
A friend of mine once told me that what we commission is both something we like and something that could be considered our objects of vanity, and I'll admit that later down the line I've begun to become rather vain and/or egotistical (whatever is the correct term) because of what my commissioned works have brought me.
Like people who watch me, people who view my commissioned artwork. The favorites and the comments giving me praise. Reaching 1000, or 2000 and currently 3000 milestones of watchers. All in all, it has given me a sense of pride and feeling like I'm someone important.
Those things brought in some of my negative traits and habits. If what I commissioned gets a low amount of viewership and/or favorites, I feel insulted. I ask myself a variety of questions like: What's wrong with it? Why isn't it getting enough attention? Is it not good enough? It should be sexy enough!
And not just that, I could also become somewhat vindictive to I consider a slight, like if someone unwatches me and if someone who I know of doesn't give me a favorite of my submission/s. And not just that. Sometimes I think I'm hurting myself financially just to satiate my vanity. Like what happens if I don't commission enough artwork? I feel like I'll be forgotten and people won't give the attention and praise that I feel like I deserve.
Those are just to name a few, and I don't think it's really given me much happiness, and it all probably is a reason why I can be so burnt out when it comes to commissions. Like if my commissioned work won't get enough attention, I feel like it was worth nothing and I ask myself what's the point of it all.
Since late 2023, I have come to accept that I should not let my pride and vanity get the better of me. Because at the end of the day, I'm just a guy who is sharing my commissioned works with everyone. I'm no one important, but I am not worthless and so are my submissions. I should commission artwork just because I love the ideas that pop in my head and I should appreciate the fact that, even though my uploads won't get hundreds of favorites, some people ARE paying attention to them (and even one favorite and one kind word is worth hundreds). And if people unwatch me and/or not give me favorites, then it is their choice. I should respect their decision and not groan about it.
And in terms of finance, I shouldn't just rapidly commission several commissions every month with what money I have out of fear of irrelevance if I don't appease the algorithm. I do it after carefully planning my finances every month and if I really like the commission idea at the time, then I'll commission it and keep things slow.
Which brings me to a related subject: I like to apologize in advance for my friends and acquaintances if this is bothers you, but because I want to try and take commissions slowly from now on, that means that I cannot guarantee that I will be able to collaborate with a shared commission with all of you. Some will be chosen and some will not. I'm terribly sorry for any disappointment and any offense. And I am sorry if any bad behavior was displayed and if I hurt anybody.
That is all I have to say. Thank you so much for listening, and any kindness and advice/suggestions you might bring. Take care, have an awsum day and may you all have a nice 2024!

Posted a year agoGood day, everyone! I hope that you are all having a good 2024 so far!
Now I believe that when we grow older, we do things that we would never think we'd do. The first time was when I sold one of my characters, a female wolf, and fully renaming a character despite said character holding their previous name for a few years. Now here's another thing I'd never thought I'd do: Humoring the idea of selling another character of mine.
In particular, my Texan Stallion, Ace: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....5013/Ace-Horse
Now again, I'm humoring the idea, but it might be a real possibility sooner or later. Now I haven't publicly announced this, but I was on a small commissioning hiatus since, I think, October. And I've only recently returned about a couple weeks ago. The reason for my hiatus was because of Real Life financial issues which I was able to resolve sometime last month, but my finances have come up short. Nothing to really worry about on my part, but enough for me to even consider selling another character of mine.
Now if I do seriously take on the idea of selling Ace, would anyone be interested in buying him in say, more or less a month or two?
I am looking at 300 USD equivalent (reminder that I am not from the US)
If anyone is interested, then I shall take a potential buyer into consideration. But only after I am fully on board in selling Ace.

Adopts for Sale from artist Rhinoking
Posted 2 years agohttps://www.furaffinity.net/view/52716820/
Apparently, artist Rhinoking is having some financial trouble, and if anyone is willing to pay for his adoptables, please consider checking the above link out. The artist has a great artstyle and their adoptable characters are generally well designed with some good armor/clothing designs. And are generally buff, if you are into buff characters ^_^
My personal recommendations for adoption:

Free Art Raffle by Feikro
Posted 2 years agoHappy New Year, Everyone!
Posted 2 years agoOk actually it's not yet 2023. Where I'm from, it's less than two hours for me, and to the rest of the world it'll probably be 14 hours, more or less. But I'm saying this early because I'll be busy sleeping a lot tomorrow!
Work has been very hectic, given that I had to help in several events and parties, and I'm exhausted as hell!
But anyway, 2022 had more downs than ups, and I hope that 2023 will be better for everyone, even though it seems like hope continues to be slim and things seem to get worse and worse.
To my friends and watchers, thank you so much for your support and sticking with me all these years. 2023 is when I will focus more on shared commissions, and I hope we can bring some amazing commissions and content together.
Keep being awsum, everyone! Have a great last 2022, enjoy whatever festivities you have planned and lets all wish the world a better and great 2023!

Merry Christmas, everyone!
Posted 2 years agoMerry Christmas and have a great 25th of December! May we all make merry, enjoy the day and receive lots of presents and goodies ^__^
It took me over 2 years (Christmas came early)
Posted 2 years agoHeya there, friends and watchers!
I mentioned before that I will take a small break from commissioning for the first quarter of 2023. There are a few reasons why, but now I have another reason to take a break.
It took me over 2 years, but after all this time, I'll finally be getting a PS5 sometime next week. I made a pre-order at my local game store, and they have given me a receipt that pretty much confirms that I'm definitely getting one!
And I was this close to just getting meself an Xbox Series X.
Now comes the hard part: What game am I gonna buy!?!? HAHAHA!

Give me a video that sums up a part of your life
Posted 3 years agoFor me, I think this video sums up a part of my life really well
At 1:08 of the video.
To be honest with you, I sometimes hate my job. Not much of a stunning revelation, given that it's a common feeling felt around the world. But the things we do, and the suffering we endure, for money XD

Artist Recommendation: Rhinoking
Posted 3 years agoI would like to highly recommend this artist
Rhinoking due to their great art style, armor and clothing design and for the amazing character adopts that they do.
The first commission he made for me was this: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/49166256/ And I absolutely loved it the point that I've commissioned him again last month to draw my wolfie, Val.
Also, in regards to the character adopts, here are some examples (mind, they are already adopted)

If you are interested, please consider giving Rhinoking a watch and perhaps commission him (or adopt a character once one is available)

Current commission plans for the remainder of 2022
Posted 3 years agoHello, everyone! I hope you have been doing great, that all is well and that you will enjoy the last quarter of 2022.
I have been very busy IRL, and apologize if I haven't been quite active. Especially to my closest friends whom I haven't chatted much with lately. Sometimes I wish I had more time and the energy to chat with you guys.
Commission-wise, I have been spending quite a bit of money to bring my commission ideas to life. Some have already been paid for, some are still pending and unfortunately I had to postpone a shared commission due to the money for that being used to replace a broken PC part.
Here is what I have so far:
1)
BarakKuda Drawing a Reference Sheet 3.0 of my wolf, Val. This isn't really recent, as it has been in the making since early 2022. Whilst the wait has been long, I completely understand their situation. Though it appears that it'll be completed in a month or more.
2)
Rhinoking He'll be drawing Val in a sort of Nordic Sci-Fi/Medieval armor
3)
INUGATAMI They'll be drawing Val in her gym clothing. They'll also do a second commission after the first one is completed, featuring Val (again) and another user's character. However, the second commission has been delayed by the request of the user to December.
4)
DreamAndNightmare Now this is one that I'm rather excited about, since I have watched this artist since 2012. Whilst I started commissioning in 2015, I never got the chance to commission this one until now. He'll draw my Croc, Mace.
5) One or two commissions that I have already planned. One already has an artist (just waiting for them to get to my slot), and if I can find another that fits with my remaining budget for this year. And if I cannot find the latter, then it'll just be one.
For my plans for next year, I plan on focusing more on shared commissions (but there will still be personal commissions here and there). Though I'll limit the number to 7-9 users. But before that, I intend to go on a small hiatus from commissioning and hope to return by the 2nd Quarter (May or June 2023)
That is all I have to say for the time being. I am excited for the next year, and I'm especially excited to share artwork with whoever is interested, both from new users and my best friends ^^ Thank you all for your time, thank you all for your kindness and support and I hope that the last months of the year will be enjoyable for us all. Take care and have a great day/afternoon/evening!
