24 Hour Comic Challenge Tomorrow (Saturday)
Posted 11 years agoI've stocked up on caffeine, so I'm taking the plunge this year and attempting the 24 Comic Challenge!
For anyone unfamiliar--the challenge is to create a 24 page comic within 24 hours. No story/character planning, creating everything from scratch on the day of.
Here's the Wiki article for more info.
If anyone else is interested in giving it a go, here's the site to register online or find an event host near you!
I'll probably get started around 12PM MST, and I suspect for simplicities sake, a lot of the WIP/finished pages will get posted on Twitter. (When it's all over, I'll post the whole thing here--assuming I don't burn out around page two...which probably won't happen.)
I plan on Streaming on and off, too, so keep an eye on Twitter (@teagangavet) if you want to catch one. :]

New Art, Old Art, DeviantArt, & Twitter
Posted 11 years agoIt's been awhile! How are you? Did you ever get that thing checked out? How about that local sports team? Can you believe the price of weather these days?
Anyway, back to business.
New Art:
I've got a fair amount of stuff from the last few months. I'll upload it slowly, so in the meanwhile you have time to prepare yourself for a bunch of dog drawings--many with open mouths, and some with words in them.
Old Art:
I'll be shuffling older stuff off into Scraps over the next week or so.
Also, I'm kicking the tires on DeviantArt again, so if you want to follow me there:
http://teagangavet.deviantart.com
Lastly, I'm on Twitter (@teagangavet), where I post warm up sketches and inebriated nonsense.
Okay, here we go!

Something I've Been Up To
Posted 11 years agoHowdy!
It's time to talk about one of the things that's kept me busy late last year: Henrieke's Artistic Visions book!
I'd always loved that particular line of Sofawolf titles, which features a large collection of an artists' sketches, concept work, works-in-progress and creative process. I was sad that, due to time restraints on all the fellows at Sofawolf Press, the Artistic Visions series had been put on the back burner for a few years. After I had finished wrangling the artistic management and layout of HEAT 10 last year, I asked about picking up the title again, and lo and behold, here we are!
Coming later this January to debut at FurtherConfusion you'll find the next installment of Artistic Visions: The Art of Henrieke!
If you're unfamiliar with Henrieke's artwork, go on and check it out here on FA! She's a published Disney comic artist, as well as has worked professionally for zoos and conservation efforts. Henrieke's lively and character-driven style harkens back to the Golden Age of comics, but with her own twist.
You can pre-order the Artistic Visions: Art of Henrieke today!
75 pages of everything from aardwolves to zebras, unposted sketches, works-in-progress, step-by-step examples of her inking process--how can you pass that up? :]

Continued Absence, or is it?
Posted 13 years agoYikes, I haven't been around much. The last six or seven months of "offline life" have been a little all consuming. And I'm glad to add, the majority of the time, life has been pretty swell.
I figured I should drop in and let folks know I was still kicking (but I suppose the evidence of that can be divined from my not-so-secret, dual-alter-ego's activity.)
Between travel, work, and more work, I didn't log in for a week. Then a month. Then my submissions inbox had reached terrifying magnitudes of art. Caught between a guilty "nuke all" and "no no, let's skim this..." I was distracted by something shiny and forgot to come back for another few months.
Needless to say, I've cleaned house now, skimmed where I could, and I'll try to get back to notes (at least, ones that aren't half a year old. I doubt you still want to know if I'll be attending MFF 2011!)
In the meanwhile, I may not be very active here... Another account--oh sure, but you're savvy enough to figure that leopard out. If you really have to know what I'm up to offline, you can probably find my photo/travel blog (which, okay, I've also neglected since January.)
What's got me so busy? Well, sketching pages for the second book of a certain comic.
It should keep me busy and out of trouble, if the first was any indication!
Anyhow, I've rambled disjointedly enough to last at least another month or two of silence!
See you on the other side of spring!

AnthroCon: Being There, and all that
Posted 14 years agoOnce again, I'll be at AnthroCon next weekend! And, I am quite excited about it for a number of reasons, but really, one big reason.
This weekend, of course, will be spent almost entirely on preparing for AnthroCon, what with making prints, matting art, putting together art CDs, and packing the a-fore mentioned items and such for my cruel leopard overlord.
But, irregardless, I am actually shockingly on top of everything and may have an afternoon free to finish another personal piece for the AC show--something that isn't pictured in my recent photo of the 1/1 prints I'll be taking to the art show. Who knows! You'll have to check out the art show to see if managed my time well, and slayed the demon Procrastination.
With that, I think I've already spent enough time making journals! Onward and eastward!

Badges [Full, at the moment!]
Posted 14 years agoEDIT: Okay, that was pretty quick. I have enough to keep me busy, I think. If I manage to work through the ones I have, I'll make another post offering badges. Thanks a ton, everyone!
---
Oddly enough, I have a couple days of free time ahead of me. I figured with AnthroCon just around the corner, I may as well take a badge or two to keep me out of trouble.
If you're interested, drop me a note with your character info and all that! :]
I'm not sure how many I'll be able to do. I prefer to work on things one or two at a time, so after I finish the first few, I may take a few more from the "note pool," time permitting. My free time expires on Tuesday, so we'll see how many I can work through!
Anyhow, here's a couple examples of recent badges from me:
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/4761457/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4761453/
Badges are $35 USD
You'll receive a high-res, printable file of your badge. If you are attending AnthroCon, I can have one waiting for you to pick up. PayPal is the easiest for me.
So, if you're interested, please drop me a note! Thanks! :]

Back, Alive, Still Kicking, and so on
Posted 14 years agoI suppose I should drop a new journal in here to say I'm still alive and kicking. If you know about my '"secret" other life', you could probably have figured it's been a busy last few months, art-wise and so on. :]
I've still been sketching and working on a few of my own things, but I've just been pretty lax in posting. Most notably, I suppose, I made a 13 page comic that will in the upcoming volume #8 of HEAT. It features a spotted hyena and a Canaan dog, is titled At Spearpoint, and features many a "spear," if you catch my drift. ;]
Earlier this year, I also did a couple pieces for the newest Furociton card deck, and I'll be posting those here later this summer.
And, actually, I have a couple commissions I finished at the beginning of the year I never posted. I meant to, after FC, but time got away from me with work, travel and other obligations. I'll put those up and another thing, urh, now-ish.
So that's that, just saying I'm around, and no longer "out of town," as my last journal would have me be. ;]

Out of Town
Posted 15 years agoI’m off into the wild blue yonder and I won’t be back for a few weeks. I don’t except there to be this crazy Internet thing where I’m going (not that I’ll be looking,) so any correspondences (ie: emails/notes/homing pigeons) will have to wait a bit. To quote Jimmy Buffet, “If the phone doesn’t ring, it’s me!”
Late Night Sketch/Badge Commission? [FULL]
Posted 15 years agoThank you for the responses! I've got enough to keep me busy and out of trouble for a little bit. If I get through these in a timely manner, I suppose I'll open up again in a few days, if I can. :]
Well, two things: it's late at night with nothing to do, so I'm bored but curiously awake, and second, I actually don't have anything I need to be working on for once. So, I figured I could fill my time with a couple commissions if anyone's game! :]
So, here's my standard pricing: a single character sketch, cleaned up and shaded some for $38 USD (which includes the shipping for the original,) or $56 for two characters. Here's a NSFW example of some recent pencil stuff--however, I'll be drawing on regular white paper, not brown/toned paper, like this.
I also wouldn't mind working on a badge or two, at $35 a piece, which includes a high-res printable version of the digital color and shipping for the original sketch. Some recent badge examples, here and here.
I might also have time for a colored piece, along these lines--just note me what you had in mind and I can give you a price quote.
PayPal is the easiest and so on and so forth. If you're interested or have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note! :]
Thank you very much!

Airport and Eggplants
Posted 15 years agoI flew in last night from a weekend visit to Phoenix. Ket had to stay behind and work, but she didn't miss much since, well. It's Phoenix.
Unbeknown-st to Logic, there is a little place in Chandler, Arizona, which makes the best Egg Foo Young known to man. Ket asked that I bring some back and I could not refuse. So, en route to the airport we pick up the egg foo young and some fried rice to go. I felt clever as I funneled the sauce into new little travel shampoo bottles I bought for the purpose (though the guys at the Asian Grill might have thought otherwise.) I already have a curious assortment of things in my carry-on bag--such as the Singapore chocolate which apparently looks a lot like C4 in an airport x-ray, so I was sure the addition of my strange meaty "hair products" wouldn't warrant a second glance.
Anyhow, I arrive at the security table and sure enough, something in my bag looks strange. So after a quick pat-down, I'm pulled over to the side. The woman unzips the bag and screeches. The box of fried rice has opened and I don't really think she was expecting a messy box of rice inside.
"What's that!" she cried.
"Fried rice!" I say. "It just opened in the bag."
"You pick it up outta there, I don't want to touch it none."
"Sure thing!" and I pick up the rice.
She reaches inside and picked up the baggy of shampoo bottles, which I'd forgotten to take out for the separate scanning process.
"Now," she begins to lecture, "these got to go separate--" she drops them suddenly, "Oh god! These shampoo bottles are hot!"
"Sure," I say, gesturing, "that's the sauce for the Egg Foo Young. I couldn't think of a better way to get it through security."
"Egg Foo what?" she says, frustrated, and opens the main compartment of my bag.
There is a container of egg foo young, but she reaches beyond that and pulls a whole raw eggplant out of my bag.
"Why are you traveling with an eggplant? Do you have a whole damn grocery store in here?"
"They don't have eggplants where I come from," I joke, though it's kind of true. There wasn't any eggplants in the pantry at home.
"They don't..." she starts to repeat, baffled. "Where you come from?"
I say the first thing that pops into my head, which was, "...Montana."
"They don't have eggplant in Montana," she scowled, hand on a hip, other on my eggplant.
"Not since the eggplant epidemic of '84," I say.
She's unimpressed.
"Yeah," she says, waving me through, "you go on ahead. I'm done. You put your sauces through separate next time."
She mutters under her breath as I pack everything up, "Damn that egg fooey does smell good."
And it was good. I'd even say...scrumtrulescent.

Snow Leopard or...?
Posted 15 years agoI have a rough sketch of something I plan on working on over the next couple days, but I can't decide it's more of a snow leopard kind of day--or perhaps a tiger. Definitely a big, stocky cat.

For Authors and Artists
Posted 15 years agoAKA, Look What They've Done To My Song
There's a storm raging on the Internet. It's one of many drama-fests in the ceaseless and anonymous debate that is the Internet--but one that you as an author or an artist might like to consider a few points from.
The meat of the matter, as it came to my attention, is Fan Fiction.
Specifically, fan-fiction and any unauthorized derivative works created using another authors characters or universe. Many authors take offense to the idea of fan-fiction for a multitude of reasons. Others don't.
This whole business caught my eye on several authors' blogs beginning with Diana Gabaldon, author of the OUTLANDER series. She posted her views on fan-fiction, namely: she finds it immoral on top of it being illegal. All hell breaks loose on the Internet (no surprise) and the floodgate's open with agreement, debate, b'awwing and "I don't know who you are but I came here just to yell at you," types of people. George RR Martin (on his own blog) threw in his 2 cents, also disdaining fan-fiction and inviting some thoughtful debate.
My opinion is simple: as an author and the original creator, it's your call the extent you let other people play in your sandbox.
Tough titty if an author doesn't want you to write your astral plane tentacle rape alternative ending to their book.
But wait, you want to say! I have only good intentions when I write fan-fiction--none of this tentacle rape you fear so much.
George RR Martin spelled it out pretty well in his latest entry on the subject--all monetary what-not and legalese aside, the heart of the matter is love, for both sides. Author's characters are akin to their children, and who can know their mind better or be more protective of them? Even if you really love my kid and would take great care of them, I'm still not going to let you take them home with you, sorry.
Fan-fiction writers do it out of love of the characters, too, of course. Maybe they have innocent intentions, like what if so-and-so didn't die, or ran off to marry someone else, or what if Krypton never blew up, or Aslan comes to tea in London or it's Moby Dick from the whale's perspective and befriends Ahab, etc. Even so, as GRRM points out--it's still a fakery. It isn't "real," for however real you can argue a fictional character to be.
To me, when an author writes a true and engaging story, one you can believe, even if just for the short while you're turning the pages--they also owe us the duty to 'keep it real,' within their means. That involves taking turns you can't always be happy with, because life usually doesn't play out exactly as you wanted. You don't always get the girl. Characters suffer. They die, they fall apart, they marry the wrong person, they loose everything, but a good author gives us a rebirth of spiritual ideals, or a changed man, or maybe even a changed reader.
Fan Fiction, for the most part, seems to me to turn a true and tense relationship or situation into sparkly-vampire fluff. Romeo and Juliet didn't really die, they live in New Jersey now with a bunch of kids and a golden retriever. Mulder and Scully do the dirty in the first season and the rest of the show is about their alien baby-sitter. Harry marries Hermione but they only produce Muggle children. Ilsa Lund doesn't get on the plane, never regrets it and is fabulously happy with Rick until the end of their days--they raise poodles and become renowned restaurateurs in Casablanca. *dies a little inside*
So, for me, fan-fiction is... meh. Even if it's well written, it isn't real, has no emotional impact and doesn't interest me in the slightest. It's like those cheesy "it was all a dream" endings. Empty.
But this isn't what I really wanted to tell you.
My opinion on this doesn't amount to a hill of beans, and is, after all, just another Opinion-on-the-Internet™.
What I wanted to tell you, dear author, artist, creator, is this--
If you willingly let your creation enter the public domain and do not defend it as your intellectual property, you can potentially loose your copyright.
So if you ever see your artwork, story or your -original- characters, (etc.), being used without your consent or in a manner you are not comfortable with, it might behoove you to at least send a DMCA notice to a website host or politely remind an innocent offender of your rights.
And no, that doesn't mean if it's on the Internet it's in the free and public domain. What that means is if it's being used in a manner which you do not want it being used in, correct it (or at least make the motion to correct it) or someday, you won't have a legal leg to stand on when it really matters. Basically, in court, if Joe-Tracer takes your picture and makes a t-shirt of it, sells this t-shirt at the next World Cup, makes a million dollars and it comes to your attention when you see him on a talk show barking about his creative genius for coming up with your design--well, if you let that design circle the Internet, let friends tweak it--then later strangers--make spoofing designs and LolCat pictures with it, let some guy illegally make posters of the picture off his 1987 dot-matrix printer and shrugged it off as such "small-scale" theft, then when you go into court and froth and rage and say that World-Cup shirt is mine! Joe-Tracer's lawyers (he can afford very nice lawyers now) can point out that you orphaned your work and left it to fend for it's lonesome on the distant shores of the Internet. That's an extreme dramatization of course, but you get the gist.
The old dinosaur of VA forms finally entered the year 2000 and you can register works (or collections of works) via the Internet through www.copyright.gov if you feel you have something suitable to register. (I'd say any clever graphic design work and comic collections, especially webcomics, are worth considering to register. It does cost a little money, but you can do lump volumes of work in one registration. The downside of this is it's more difficult to pull one aspect out of the registered collection-- for instance, if you wanted to sell the rights to one character from your comic, you have to split the volume and it's a lot of red-tape and e-paper.)
Also, yes, soon as paper touches pencil you own the copyright of that scribble. However, officially registering a work with the copyright office will give you an "on the record" date of creation and ownership, which can ease a legal battle (though is not imperative to winning one). Hopefully, you'll never ever face a legal battle over copyright, since a copyright lawyer who will take a case is very hard to find, and of course, very expensive.
Lastly, remember that anything you put online will get passed around and that's what the Internet is about--sharing. Simply put, don't want that to happen, don't post it. However, having a lot of eyes seeing your stuff only increases your fanbase...so the benefits often outweigh the bad. For every ten people who will pirate your book, one more person will buy it.
Just keep an eye on where your artistic children end up. Keep them out of trouble if you don't want them to get too far beyond your control, otherwise, well-- share and share alike, I suppose.

Frustrations and Sketches
Posted 15 years agoSome days, I admit art makes me feel like I'm hitting my head against a wall. I spent all day working on a page from this thar comic--tweaking, erasing, re-drawing, struggling, returning, editing, fussing, erasing again--and seven hours later, I find that I've actually left less lines on the page than I started with this morning. Blah!
Anyway, while I take a brief break from the current artistic predicament, I'm open for suggestions to draw stuff.
Feel free to post something in a comment or a link to your character's reference or what not. It'd be nice to feel somewhat productive today!
No guarantees I'll draw your suggestion, of course...though there's not much to loose, either! We'll see where the pencil and the grey matter go...
Need a badge for FC? [FULL]
Posted 15 years agoEDIT: all full for now! If I get through these quickly, I may take a couple more!
Thank you!
It's just about two weeks until FC and I find myself in a strange place--I actually have free time. Well, that's not quite true--there are a million things I should be doing, but while I wait for creative knots to undo themselves and half-baked plans to come to fruition, I have artful energy in spades and no where productive to put it.
That said, I can safely take three badges for pick-up at FurtherConfusion on Friday in the Dealer's Den, if anyone is interested!
They'll be $38, colored digitally. If you'd like to pick yours up at FC, the printed badge will come in a clear plastic badge holder with a clip and ready to wear, (plus you get the original sketch if you'd like it). Here's a pair of examples!
PayPal is preferred due to time constraints.
So that's that! Drop me an email at blackteagan@gmail.com, or a note here if you're interested!
Thank ya!
$5 Sketch Commissions? [FULL]
Posted 16 years agoEDIT: Ok, I'm full for now! Don't want to bite off more than I can chew. If all goes smoothly, I'll take a few more when I run out! I'll let you know when that happens (probably not for another week or so) so for the mean while, no more!
Thanks everyone! This should definitely keep me busy for the next few mornings!
----
In the morning--after I've had tea and before I get to work drawing comic pages--I tend to spend about 15-20 minutes sketching to loosen up. After about two weeks of this, I've begun to run out of ideas. I'm just drawing the same old stuff over and over. Much like drinking the same type of tea over and over; it's quite uninspired. I figured why not kill two birds with one stone? I'll take some little commissions to get a touch of outside creativity in play [i]and feed my rapidly-spiraling-out-of-control caffeine addiction.
Here's one from my previous morning sketches, for example's sake.
Anyhoo, so might anyone be game?
- Adult is fine, so's multiple characters (to a degree, before I start charging more. Unless you'd like a stick figure orgy. I can do that. ;] )
- Non-adult is also fine! Non-furry might also be fine--happy to stretch some artistic muscles.
- Some things/fetishes I'm not too interested in starting my morning with. Feel free to ask if you're unsure. I don't bite!
- PayPal only, and sent as a "Gift."
- If you like the sketch, I'm happy to mail you the original, provided you get the shipping. Alternatively, you're welcome to pick it up for free at any convention I'm running a table at. :]
Note me if you're interested! I'll just take a few for now and I'll keep a list in this journal.
Thank you very much![/i]

So Here We Are
Posted 16 years agoIt's been a blur of one thing or another. Rocky Mountain FurCon was good fun. We painted the town in the company of ol' friends and I think were out until last call every night. I'll be honest--it's one long overlapping memory of tasty food, drinks, coffee, company, late nights and early mornings bleeding into an exceptionally boundless and awesome day. (Though cake has been ruined for me.)
This last week it's been work, with a side of more work, served in a light work-sauce. A labor of love, but still a little draining. The black tea keeps getting stronger but I keep finding myself starting at an empty page trying to wrap my brain around why the pencil won't work.
There is, of course, months of this to look forward to. I suspect eventually the routine will unfold and it will become easier. It is exciting to work on as it comes together, but it's like being one step up a very tall mountain. The Buddhist center up the street has a free meditation session and talk every week and it's on my list of things to do. It would be pleasant, I'm sure. As mellow and okay as I feel, I still suspect something is off kilter. I can't kick-start my brain into it's full potential.
Dictionary.com's word of the day seems to dictate more than my vocabulary. We've gone from métier, to peradventure, to cynosure, luminary, furtive, celerity and today: dalliance.
The night cap has switched from port to Scotch and I've held off on beer until the Great Drunkening of '09 in September. Beer, while tasty, has a negative effect on my focus and ability to make straight lines.
I hurt my foot weeks ago, right after AC actually, either sprained it or broke something. The swelling was quite impressive, though it never bruised and I felt cheated for that. It's just finally started to stop aching, though if I contort my ankle in weird ways it hurts...but that could just be because ankles aren't meant to do that... ;]
I had an ice-pack, and ironically the day after I read aloud: "Non-Toxic but not meant for consumption" the dogs decided to eat it. They lived though, so that's a plus.
Our nudist neighbors across the courtyard moved out this week.
Earlier this week, Ket and I did decide to play hooky one night and we drove east into the empty abyss that is Eastern Colorado (dirty Kansas/Nebraska toucher.) Why? Well, the Perseid meteor shower, of course. We drove for an hour and some down the interstate, then took the empty ol' highway up towards a middle-of-nowhere place called "Last Chance." It sounded appealing. We found a dirt track running into the middle of a farmers field and parked the car, set up the camp chairs, popped a bottle of wine and watched the stars. Coyotes yapped, foxes screamed in the distance and bulls lowed eerily not-to-far away. The meteors were beautiful and the night was cool, the moon bright.
When a radio commercial posed the question today, "Wouldn't you rather see football in high definition?" I responded with "why no, I'd rather see it with zero definition," but the Eagles signing Michael Vick still irks me.
Unrelated, I had a fantastic experience on a technical help forum which restored my faith in humanity.
Tonight once the temperature drops, I'm going to make corn chowder with roasted peppers. This has been the oddest summer I can remember. The news predicts we won't have any more days over 90 degrees, which is, well...bizarre. Last year, we had a brutal three week hot spell of over 100 degrees, but we've barely cracked 90 this year. And the rain--ah, glorious big plains thunderstorms every week, booming thunder and lighting (a bolt struck just a block away from us a week ago.)
So, in short, it's been a strange kind of contented melancholy.
And everything is green. Everything is good.

Epiphany Day
Posted 16 years agoLast year was a pretty wild year. Amidst all the bedlam I tried to take a moment and reflect and try to pick apart all I've done, try and scrounge up some of those resolutions people are wild about. I realized that was useless and all I can hope is that every year be so chaotic, inspired and unpredictable. I just returned from dog sledding in northern Minnesota over New Years, and prior to that I traveled the Outback of Australia for several weeks, and even before that there was so many shenanigans and going's on I can't describe it all in one sentence. I admit it's difficult to keep multiple journals and of course stay on top of art (though for those of you who know of my half in that secret double-life I lead with my bird, you'll know I haven't been totally slouching on art. >;] ) So, for those who may not know and might be interested, most of our day-to-day craziness and photos gets reported in my journal, here-abouts. (Art has also been known to pop-up there from time to time, but I admit the journal's kind of become more of an indulgence of my hobbyist photography and love of loquacious rambling. ;] )
While very little of the actual Christian holiday of Epiphany Day strikes me deep, the name has a resounding meaning and I'm all for an excuse to feast and celebrate life, what is to come, and the exciting new horizons that await us. May your New Years bring happiness, inspiration and a rewarding pursuit, and may many a good idea strike you silly!

Posted 17 years agoThat is where I shall be the next couple of days--that scurvy spotcat put it fairly succinctly, so I shan't elaborate. ;]
And with that, I shall be a tad slow on emails so please be patient if I haven't gotten back to you just yet! The next few days I'll be busy sketching, GoH-ing, drunken-ing and so forth--and I wish the same sort of celebration to everyone! Have a good weekend, fair weather, close friends and many good stories to tell!

Badge Sale/Sketch Commissions :]
Posted 17 years agoBadge Sale/Sketch Commissions
Well, with AC just around the corner--and that I really do like doing badges--I figured I'd offer a couple character badge slots. They'll be $38 a piece (a few bucks off my normal price) and I'll have them done a week or so before Anthrocon. You're welcome to pick them up at AC with the lineart, or if you'd prefer, I can email high-resolution versions for printing and ship the original sketch/lineart.
That aside, since I have a little time this week and next week, I'm also offering a few slots for sketch commissions. Sketches are $38 for a single character, with shipping for the original, and ~$55 or so for multiple characters. If you've a mind, I also might be able to toss some color at a piece--just ask and I'll quote you a price for what you had in mind! :]
Recent Badge Examples: Jager Badge |Lukoi Badge | Darlene Badge
Sketch Example: Nighteyes | Walk n' Talk | Dirty Pony (NFSW)
Colored Examples: Foxes (NSFW) | The Spot (NSFW) | The Leap
If you're interested, please email me at: blackteagan[at]gmail.com !
Thanks for lookin!
EDIT: Thanks very much for the emails! I've got enough to keep me out of trouble for a little bit--At least, I hope. >:]
If you wrote me and I haven't gotten back to you quite yet, I'll be sure to in the morning!--Now, I am off to sketch and have a nice beer. :]
Thanks again and Goodnight!

Open for the Evening
Posted 17 years agoHowdy!
Ah, the art madness on me and I think I can take a few more commissions if anyone is interested! :]
So, that said! Onwards to the point!
Single character sketch, $38 bones, which includes shipping and all that. S'more for two characters, say $55.
I can take a few digitally colored pieces too. Email me your idea and we can hammer out a price depending on the picture!
I might even be persuaded to do a couple badges in the region of $45, if someone has the desire. >:]
If you're interested, email me here: blackteagan[at]gmail.com
and we can get to talkin'.
EDIT: Ok, I think I've got enough to keep me busy and out of trouble! Thank you! :]

Much A-Do About Today
Posted 17 years agoI woke up to a beautiful spring day. The air is cool but the sun is warm. It has the potential to be a very pleasant and productive afternoon. :]
As my partner in crime is currently coloring her fingers to the bone on the Dog's Days comic, I have a bit of free time on my hands.
So I suppose: I can put myself up for hire and offer a few commissions. :]
I can do sketch commissions (example) --roughly $36 for a single character which includes postage for the original.
If you're interested, please email me: blackteagan[at]gmail.com !
(It's easier for me to keep track of than notes or comments.)
EDIT: Ok, I think I have enough to keep me occupied for a while. >:] I'll get through this first round, and if I still feel bright eyed and bushy tailed, I may take a few more. Thanks to everyone who emailed! *runs off to start sketching*
Thanks much!
