Question regarding posting style
Posted 2 years agoI’ve posted several of my “artworks” under the story category due to the fact that I included a ~500 or so word story with them. I have recently had someone accuse me of “gaming” the system over this on telegram.
I am not entirely sure what they mean, as I figured my posts fit story posts better than art. I am purely making this journal to make sure I am not posting in a way that goes against FA guidelines or the spirit of their rules. If I have irritated, or caused any annoyance with the way that I’ve posted my series I can only deeply apologize and pledge that I will correct it in the future.
I can work on recategorizing my posts as “art” if they really do cause a problem.
I am making this journal to ask and get a better gauge of how the rest of the community feels about it. Please let me know via a comment or note if you feel the same way regarding how I’ve posted my stories/artwork. I was not aware that I was possibly causing an issue.
I apologize for any “spam” I’ve been causing due to how I post. Depending on the response I may contact a FA mod for clarification.
Once again, sorry if I “ruined” your search for the last year or so.

Commissions Coming Soon (TM)
Posted 2 years agoSo, I have put more time into figuring out how commissions will work, and I am thinking July 30th would be a solid time to open them.
I am thinking that I will have 4 slots open initially. 1 story slot, and 3 artwork slots. Restrictive and small, I know, but it is to ensure that I can actually deliver within the given time frame. See this as a "first edition" commission. I will adjust prices, rules, etc. after this "run" so that things will hopefully run smoother next time.
I do want to thank everyone that commented/messaged me about solutions to my payment question, as that has legitimately made this possible. I will message you about a possible trade or free commission in a few days.
If you are curious about pricing, process, delivery, rules, etc. I will have all of that below, as well as in the official commission post that I will make in the future.

Commissions, Trades, and Patreon
Posted 2 years agoSorry for the constant disappearances, long waits, lack of communication, and overall minimal posting. Ended up moving (for the second time in 12 months thanks to my land lord breaking the lease by not repairing a leaking roof), and mixed with my unpredictable work schedule have been more than a bit busy.
My reason for posting this is to ask the following questions: is there any interest in me setting up commissions, trades, or even a Patreon?
To be clear, I have no idea how a Patreon for this account would end up working since I don’t want to put anything I do behind a paywall. My current idea is that the Patreon would serve as a source of votes for you guys to help decide future stories and artwork. Maybe include a commission raffle every month of something?
Regarding commissions I’m thinking that I would probably set a one price for art, one for stories (based on length), and one “bundle” price for a mix of both.
This all would be on top of whatever I do that sparks my own interest, and of course like I said before, nothing would actually be locked behind a paywall.
Trades are the last thing I’m considering. The biggest thing I’m worried with trades is that whatever I produce would be worse than whatever I am trading for. I hate being the person on a project that can’t lift their own weight, and the idea of someone being disappointed by what I make (or even by how long it takes me to make) stresses me out.
I guess I’m just trying to see interest levels for all of these ideas. Any feedback or ideas would be super helpful in aiding me to see where to go next. I don’t want to waste time working on something no one outside of myself will enjoy.
Also, if anyone had a solution to fully anonymizing payment so that real names, email addresses, or other identifying info is kept hidden, (or as hidden as possible,) that would be appreciated. The closest thing I’ve found is setting up a business account with PayPal and using that, but I’ve seen reports that it’s pretty easy to find out who owns that account, and that’s what I’m trying to avoid.
