And I've been putting this off, but unfortunately I spend just a little too much time on these for what I currently charge. I'm going to be increasing the cost of flat and shaded commissions by a little bit. I haven't fully worked it out yet, but won't be a huge change. Pricing for all May commissions will remain the same, changes won't take effect until June.

Wow, I've been so busy that I hadn't noticed I passed this threshold. The support means a lot!

I'm still here, I'm just in a bit of a transitory period. Things should settle down within a few months and then I hope to be drawing regularly. Maybe even more than I was able to before, and I might even try to stream a bit. Commissions are also a consideration, if only in the form of YCH stuff. We'll see, but all of this is still a little while off. In the meantime, thanks again! Feel free to stay and chat.

In other news, I'm going to be buying a new laptop soon. The one I've been using forever is very underpowered for what I do. I'm not going to say that new laptop means you will *definitely* see more art from me, but it will absolutely make it easier for me to work. I'm very excited, in any case.

I haven't really posted a lot of communication since coming back to FA, but I'd like to get a feel for why people are watching me, what you expect, and what you'd like to see more (or less) of.

Other life updates: I'm currently working six days a week and have little to no free time in the next few weeks. That probably renders the whole purpose of this journal a bit moot, but I'd still like to know regardless.

I've been inordinately busy for the past few weeks, but I hope to celebrate a return to normalcy by getting back to drawing this week. Or by reviving my social life, because the two are, in fact, mutually exclusive.

That being said, I won't be promoting or increasing my activity in other places (well, aside from Twitter) because I tried that before and well, yeah, here I am again. Here's hoping for the best, I guess.

Yeah so my last image had some really awkward color tones going on that I didn't notice until I saw it on another screen. I fixed it and just changed the file rather than making a new submission, so check it out if you liked it.

Due to various circumstances I decided that getting a new tablet was my best option at this point. Not exactly an ideal option, but the best one.

I'm still getting used to it, though. It's wireless and it feels a bit less sensitive than I'd like, but I'm trying to mess with settings and stuff on a test drawing.

On that note, I'm going to try and maintain a twitter account?? I'll probably post sketches and process stuff and not much else. Or I may feel bored/weird about it and not post anything, we'll have to embark on this journey together.

First of all, after a bit of an activity lull I've gotten like dozens of new watchers over the past two days or so and I have no idea why. So hi I guess.

Unfortunately, I haven't been drawing recently because, as I mentioned in my last submission, my tablet is acting up. Well, was acting up. Now it's just outright non functional. I think the internal USB connector is out but I'm not savvy enough to try and fix it myself. I'm hoping to hear back from the manufacturer today, (their system for processing orders has apparently been down for the last two weeks, but is scheduled to be back today) so ideally I'll have it fixed or otherwise replaced sometime soon.

Otherwise, I'm a blur of work, sleep, and anxious Dark Souls III anticipation. How are things with all of you? Any suggestions for what I should draw when my tablet is back up and running?

Hello and thanks for all of the faves and watches that have happened...while I wasn't actually here...

But I have found myself using this site more frequently in the past several months to keep up with artists who aren't anywhere else, so after a lot of deliberation I've decided that I may as well post here if I'm already going to be browsing.

Tentatively.

This does not mean that I'm going to be especially social, and if I don't like how it works out I'm not going to stick with it. I'm also thinking about focusing more on a social network like twitter or tumblr, so that would probably be the next step.

I'll start uploading older art over the next week or so, hopefully in such a way that doesn't overwhelm any innocent inboxes.

After some soul-searching I've decided that I will actually be leaving FA. Which is all that I really want to say on the matter.

Now our next order of business: Come up with some kind of snappy shorthand so that we don't have to type out "Weasyl" all the time.

It was one thing for a glitch on an improvement meme, but if I'm going to be having this problem with actual art then I need to do something about it.

For whatever reason when I upload a jpg FA is putting it through some kind of conversion which is messing up the color. The size of the jpg doesn't make a difference.

This has only been an issue on my two most recent uploads, and I haven't changed anything on my end (except maybe firefox updating? idk). Saving to a png doesn't produce the distortion, but pngs are huge and since I have to use the Save For Web option to make them in photoshop the color profiles don't always match up.

So has anyone heard about anyone else having this issue? My watchlist seems to be uploading normally, and I haven't caught any journals on the subject. Help would be most appreciated.

True joy is waking up and pulling a neck muscle such that you're unable to get out of bed on the day before you have a final exam in a fitness class, another essay exam that you haven't studied for, an interim project critique, and the final due date for a semester-spanning group project.

My running theory is that this is happening because I shaved yesterday. I told them that shaving was evil.

I knew.

I'm going to be on a short break from school after today, which means that I'm planning to play a bunch of games, which actually means I'm going to do some drawing and wonder where all of my time went.

So yeah, if you have any ideas or suggestions just leave them here. I'm not promising anything, obviously, but if something strikes my fancy I may give it a shot.

(as usual, fandom related things are considerably more likely to strike said fancy than original characters. Sorry.)
