Busy me and Sayre's Birthday

Big thanks to Cobo, for the excuse to go to Brum, Equium for adding to the Surprise Visit to the SeaLife Center, and for Gen'Ichi, who came over early to set up the Caravan ^^;
I would like to thank everyone else... even though you didn't do anything, you helped by not telling Sayre what I had planned :p

Little Experiement...was a sucess!
Posted 14 years agoSo...for a while now, I've been wondering about a few things, and today I finally got round to testing out some Ideas...and it turned out to work pretty well actually.
To start with, it started at ScotiaCon!
While In suit, I discover that my Sporran on my Kilt was an ideal and nice size to store my Wallet and Phone.
This was quite handy for when I needed to get back into my room, or try and locate someone, as what I needed was close in paw to me.
After the Con, I thought, that being able to access these things pretty much when I wanted/needed to was quite handy...however, I wouldn't always have my Kilt in suit...
An idea popped into my head after remember watching Euro Trip. Ever see it? Remember that geeky guy with that Travel Purse under his clothes?
I managed to find one...really cheap too.. and it fits my Phone and Wallet in it ^^
Having my stuff on me at all times can be handy for when it's needed swiftly.
But...a few weeks ago, I found out, that just because I have my phone on me, I can't always get at it. As last time I was around Birmingham for its meet, I did actually get a call off someone. I wasn't able to answer it at all though, it might of been someone who was lost and needed directions for all I know...Alas... this got me thinking.
So... I found out my old Bluetooth Headset!
Works a charm, and I can answer calls while in suit without problems at all, and because I will either have my Kilt on, or my Travel Belt, I'll have my Phone handy at all times too!
Whether this is even remotely helpful or not is yet to be seen...but, some ideas I had... would be handy on a suit walk, get lost? Or need to talk to me about something soonish, but unable to get to me, lose people and need to stop... anything like that, or want to give better spotting control without having to hold my paws the entire way.
So...good Idea, or lame one?

Posted 14 years agoYet again, I've left a nice food stain on my WIP Sketches... this time... fuck knows what it is, but it left a lovely grease mark too... luckily its just outside of any of the work, but damn close

Posted 14 years agoThat means, all my projects are now done! For now at least... my next thing will be in November... the Frantic EuFuria Footage... which...oh boy... should be fun...this one is going to be big!
But yes... I am done! So back to Drawing for me now...first of all, cleaning up this Almost Finished stuff I've had lying around for ages.

To start with, we left on Thursday...Originally, it was supposed to be early on Thursday, so that we could arrive in Scotland at the Hotel before it got dark, as it would be about a 9 hour journey up there.
I had booked off the day from work, so that I could get a decent night sleep beforehand, and wouldn't be shagged out on the ride up....Alas, things happened, time ticked by, but then eventually after about 2pm, I got the phone call to come meet up at the Rendezvous point, which was Black Wolf's house.
We arrived, then not long after, Drayygon, Equium, and SFW appeared. We unloaded their car, and waited for the last person in our Convoy...also the one with most of the Conventions Equipment.
Turned out that our last person, Ceil Fox, would be delayed, due to the Van breaking down in Dudley, panic stations and cars get re-packed and loaded up with as much gears as we could carry, and the passengers, minus Black Wolf, who would wait for Ceil.
So, Me, and Sayre, along with Two Head Trees, our own stuff, and a load of Monitors set off after SFW, Drayygon and Equium in Black Wolf's car with more equipment.
We got separated by the dreaded light system of Wolverhampton...we ended up going in different directions to the M6, and My car managed to get in front of the other, so me and Sayre sat in the slow lane while waiting for the other to catch up to us.
Just before we hit a dead lock on the motor way, the other car caught up, and our Convoy of two continued up the country.
To break the boredom, me and Equium played Eye Spy over text messages across the cars.
At times this was like waiting for an email on a computer which would only connect to the internet once every 15 minutes, due to the shite lack of reception in places along the country.
Alas, we grew tired of this, and of traveling so stopped at a Services near the boarder.
After eating and resting, we got word that Ceil was back on the road, and very close to our location...we decided to wait for them, and head in convoy once they caught up.
When they turned up, it was a quick trip to the petrol station, to fuel up, and get out the radios.
Now our ScotiaConvoy, was all together, and Back on the Road!
Time went on...laughs were had... Scotland wasn't getting much closer, but still we pressed on.
Eventually, after almost falling asleep at the wheel for the 50th time... we saw the lights of Inverness.
Stopped by the Hotel, and said good night..as me and Sayre had a place at a B&B to stay that night, however when we got to that, it turned out their "24 hour reception" wasn't 24...we ended up sleeping in the car, only to be woken up many times in the early morning by the strangely large amount of people walking by.

Day 1 ~ Friday
The Con Starts today! We get to the Hotel and help unload the Van... Excitement builds as it gets closer and closer to the official start.
Register, Sign In, Dump Crap in our Room, go see Opening Ceremony...then...relax and enjoy the rest of the day.
Put on my Kilt along with my Suit, instant hit of the Convention... I am looking forward to seeing some of the pics soon... specially the ones where I am doing my "Monroe" impression over the big fans.

Day 2 ~ Saturday
So tired last night, but after some decent sleep, felt amazing!
Finally got to eat some Haggis (found out the Weatherspoons just the road did it), after which, my trip to Scotland was complete, I had eaten Haggis.

Last day :/
Oh well... was a fun one, so much to do, closing Ceremony, and a Trip to Loch Ness!
Highland Fling Party! Ended up doing the Time Warp with FatKraken, apparantly we also turned down Christopher Nolan's kids when they tried to enter the Convention area...haha :p
Alas, this is the time when me and Sayre had to head home... and lack of place to stay at the Hotel meant it was on the road for us... at 3am in the morning >.<
Half way down the A9 we decided to stop and sleep till morning, and then try and do the massive drive in day light.
Upon finally reaching home at 6pm on Monday evening, being tired, dirty, cramped, things aching all over... hating the road, the car, and everone on it...I decided... I'd do that again for that Con... just because oh how good it was.
It was THE FIRST SCOTIACON, and it was amazing... of course it had small problems, every Con does... but it did so well to say it was it's FIRST!
My journal doesn't do any justice to the event at all.... you all missed out... now you must suffer and watch the videos and pictures and tell yourself "I could of been there"
Next time, just do it!

Frantic EuFuria DVD... And Art Trickle

But... Will be a bit longer that I guestimated.... This is mainly due to the horrendus Over Time at work i'm doing. Now... This wouldn't be a problem normally, but the extra hours I am doing are leaving me with no Free Time at all, when I'm at home, i'm either Eating, Sleeping, or having a Wash.
My Normal Hours are 5:00am-9:30am. But then the Over Time Hours are 1:00pm-9:00pm.
So yea, for the next two weeks, and the previous Month its been like this all week. Only time I had any free time was weekends... Which was mostly spent recovering.
Funny story really as to why I'm doing all these hours. The guy I'm covering got drunk, and punched someone else in the mouth. He broke his wrist, and also got cut on his hand off the guys teeth.
He had two weeks off for the broken wrist, usuing up his Holidays so he didn't have to have the lower paying Sick Pay. Durring these two weeks, he developed an infection from the other guys bite. And so, spent another 2 weeks off for that... However cus he was out of Holidays, he had to take up the Sick Pay. And from a check up yesterday, was told he can't come back for another 2 weeks... Bet he wished he didn't punch that guy now.
As for the Art Trickle, you might of noticed I'm not doing something everyday again. Same reason as above.

Lack of Daily Practice?
Posted 14 years agoYes...there has been a distinct lack of my daily practices for the last two weeks... The reason for that is the unholy amount of overtime I've been doing at work.
My normal Hours (5am-9:30am) and then the Over Time (1pm-9pm) everyday, leaving me tired, and without any free time what so ever.
Ok, I could also say I couldn't be excused last week as it was Sayre doing the hours, but I felt so unmotivated...
Have no worries though, on Saturday I did start something, and will be working on stuff everyday again... Will try and upload the thing I was doing this weekend tonight.

Secret Drawing
Posted 14 years agoFor all of you that have been wondering about my Secret Drawing, you are in for a Surprise. And for all of you that don't know, don't care, or not bothered in the slightest, tough =3
I am bored of colouring in my stuff, this has been a large batch of drawings, and blah, I don't think I'm going to finish the last few before starting on the detail and shading parts of the done ones.
I might finish them all at some point, but right now, I'm going to complete the Coloured ones. Starting with that Secret Drawing.
However, looking at it the other day, I'm not happy with two parts on it, so I'm going to try and fix them up, and make a start (maybe even finish) the Detail and Shading part of the process.
So, keep a look out.

Didn't do anything arty at all today... just way to tired and unmotivated to do so.
Will do stuff tomorrow.... hopefully finish the Flats for the secret drawing, then get back to streaming my other stuff.

Does anyone else worry about this in the Shower?...
Posted 14 years agoIs it just me, or does anyone else worry about closing your eyes in the shower?
When I was very young, when ever I had a shower, I would always worry about having to close my eyes when getting the shampoo out of my hair. I was afriad that when I opened them again, there would be something... Something not very nice standing right in front of me.
I don't know what it would be, maybe just something evil or scary, but I'd bbe worried that it would watch me while I was showering and soon as I closed my eyes to get rid of the shampoo, it would use that time to try and get me, meaning as soon as I open up again, it would be there standing in front of me.
Due to this, I would find ways of taking a shower without having to close my eyes to get rid of the shapoo, sometimes I'd use goggles, sometimes I'd tilt my head back so none of the soapy water would fall down my front.
Anywho, as I grew up, I stopped worrying about it, howrever, sometimes after i've been watching something scary, or reading something scary on my own for a while, I'll start to get that 'creeped' out feeling of being watched in my room, then when I go for a showerI'll worry about... 'what if it comes when I close my eyes'.

Shame my Traditional isn't that good :/

Posted 14 years agoActually...there was, but because it's for someone, I asked them before hand, and he wished for it to be a surprize and would wait till it's finished, so no art for you guys today.
How ever, now my entire batch has been fully sketched, and reached the point where they will be inked... So, I shall start on that, and if anyone is interested, I shall stream them so you can watch...
Won't do any today (17th), so instead will start on Friday/Weekend.. Till then, i'll continue practicing and upload anything of interest

Surprise Drawing.
Posted 14 years agoThe Sketch has been completed, and neaten up and so... It does look quite amazing, I just hope when it comes to inking/colour/shading it doesn't lose any of its... amazingness that I seemed to have made for this drawing.
There...as usual, minor problems that I notice. However, it does look great ^^; That's all I can really say, it does look really really good....it's a shame you guys can't see it till I finish it mind and post that up :p
But... have no fear, it will be done at some point.

Posted 14 years agoIt's almost done...that is the sketch completed.... currently there is a big-ish gap, and trying to fill it... but the reference image which would help so much seems to have gone walk abouts >.<
