Firstly...a link to the video in case you didn't see it....and secondly...It is finally done, and been out a few days now, and heard good things from the people that have watched it.

Which is always nice to hear of course, but this time I am a lot more inclined to believe them as I am really happy with the out come of this project....sorry about the delay, took a month before I could even start...and then there was a slight fail on release day as I discovered that the version I first uploaded was both a bit corrupt...and also the host I was using had changed and so that I suddenly had a unrealistic Data Cap...which was done by the day...as well as over the month >.>

Second time! It worked fine, perfect video, perfect host....thanks to  geostar for coming in and letting me take up some of his space :p


As I mentioned I really did love how this came out, normally after I do a project, I'll look back, spot something I don't like...a small mistake, or something I did so bad that it makes me cringe... This time however, I took a different approach to doing this project, instead of doing as much as I could in a day, I did one section a time, slept on it, then went back to see if I could improve/change anything...as most the time I spotted something I wasn't happy with....It did in crease the project time...but worth it in my opinion.

Plus, I was able to play around a bit more with effects and such as I've had a lot of experience with some of them recently in a few of my previous projects and short videos...which I used in this...with great success!


Now...normally, if someone told me that its not the Equipment, but the person using it which makes something good...I'd agree...I've seen some amazing things come from not so amazing things....however, in this case I'm quite adamant that the MUCH MUCH Better video camera which I am sooooo thankful to  ceiliguliminix letting me use really did in cease the quality (not just visually) of this project....Heck..I was crying with happiness because of how lovely the footage looked while I was editing it, and my camera....it just makes me sad.

More time, more practice...and better tools to my disposal, I bet I can make the next FE Video even better!


Last point! Even though he had did less for this project since starting to help me with the FE Videos....  equium and his advice, tips, and his initial pity of how terrible my work was making him help me first time round has really done so much for me and my work video wise!....

An idea which came to me a while ago, but something I couldn't finish till the other day....so...since it's the 16th today, there will be a slight flooding, then starting tomorrow, one new photo a day till Christmas!

I suppose I could leave it till next year, but fuck that haha, since getting a new camera off  ant I've been dying to take some photos...and comparing them to my old camera...these are beautiful!

Well...it has been a while...but its finally ready for you to look at.

There are 2 videos here. The first...is like the Furstival Video from last year, Random Furry, Camping, Fun!

This time however, there are 2 segments which weren't filmed by me, but by two people that "stole" the camera off me...likely while I was in an inebriated state :p

This should be a good laugh to watch, see what you can remember...what did you miss? Are you on screen?!


Now...the second video...this was a bit of a...experiment and gamble...something I might not do again any time soon...as you will soon see from my TERRIBLE ACTING! Even with the lens closed I can't talk to the Camera :p

This second video is where you will find most of the LARPing footage....however...This one is "Real". Furstival really was a place for the "Survivors" to go and try to be safe...and there really was a Zombie Attack...well, I'll let you see for your self, was something a bit different to do, trying to put a story to pre recorded footage...was a good test for my sound effects, and my visual effect on the god damn intro which caused soooo much stress to make :p

But...I suppose you want to see these not just hear about them right?

I've been thinking about this for a while (and actually wanted to post it up soon as FA went down...typical isn't it haha...)

But I need to say thank you to a lot of people for what they have done, and how they have helped and inspired me....in this case... DJing.

Now...I'm not great, I think I'm ok....I have a lot more I need to learn and practice on before I can say "Yup, I'm pretty damn good at this now"...heck, I'd probably never say anything like that anyway, as I'm not that kind of person ^^

But...there are many people who I need to thank for different reasons. I might forget people, but I'll try to get them all, and why I am thankful, whether they know it or not.

DJ's that I currently listen to, and actually caused me to take the first step and say "Hey, I think I can do that...it looks fun, I'll give it a try".

Black Wolf, Swolf, Spirit Raptor, these 3 guys are probably the biggest inspirations I had to actually starting. Heck, just before ScotiaCon 2012, when I was talking to Black Wolf, I actually realised how much of an influence he was to the type of music I was going to play....a few weeks before, having a conversation in the back of a car, pretty much every song he said he was going to do, was on my "maybe" list for the Convention haha.

Listening back to some of the things I've Live Streamed while I was practising, and from the sets I recorded at ScotiaCon, I can hear (at least I feel like I do) a lot of inspiration from Swolf and Spirit Raptor. It wasn't intentional, it just seemed to happen...but at the same time, a lot of what to think would be my own style, which hopefully I can develop more as time goes on.

At this point I should probably give a mention to Ani Boxer, I haven't listened to as much as his stuff as I have compared to the first 3 I've listed, but what I have heard, it gave me ideas, and stuff to try out... There is some recordings of some things I tried out after listening to his stuff...didn't go amazing from the get go, but gave me something to work out, something different, and a new perspective to look at things.

Next comes V, and Graafen, only really talking to Graafen a little about things like this, and not hearing to much of his work, but got a great look at of example of how he DJ'd when we did the Highland Fling at ScotiaCon, what I saw filled in some gaps in what I knew, and new strategies on how to tackle some issues I'd currently been working around, or straight through while grimacing.
V, because he gave me some cool info, a website which I check daily for hints, tips, and just general issues on what's going on, and occasionally some new tunes I'd never find because his music taste is different to mine, what better way to expand your library then by having someone fill in the areas you don't know to well!

These are the people which have helped me get this far, and are the ones which also push me to go further and improve...hopefully, do more out there, which will be fun :p

And Finally....probably the most important people...sure the guys above got me started and teach me new things, but the ones I will mention now...they are the ones which make me not give up, or make it seem pointless. The Audience, my regular listeners.

I can't name everyone...as I will forget, but what I do know is the ones which are almost always there to listen to me play, talk to me, tell me things and give a few song suggestions here and there :p

That would be Brixston, Silverfoxwolf, Geo Panda, Branston, Sayre Foxx...these are the guys I always see without fail (unless something is keeping them away), and ever time I'd start up a Live Stream, one of them would be there before I even post out a link saying I'm Live Streaming my DJ Practice!

Before I finish off...special mention to two people.....Firstly Ceil Fox, because hes the one that let me use his sound gear to give me my first and second Live Performance experiences at ScotiaCon....and for not using the Dubstep Correction Device when I had a slight....song error :p

And...for Alec...who sat down all night each of the nights and worked his magic on the lights....my favourite part is when I went to bed and thought I looked a bit tanned :p

Well...that was quite an interesting Convention...first time being Staff, first time in Ceil Fox's Minibus, first time DJing infront of a live audience....

Some of it was scary...some of it tiring, some of it made me want to punch babies...but over all...was amazing fun.

Definatly want to say a big thanks to Ceil, and Acoustic Armageddon, for letting me use there sound gear to DJ for the first time to a live audience!.....not once...but twice, as I ended the Highland Fling after Graafen!

Was totally fun...and will hope to get chance to DJ some more...

OH...the convention was great too...but you can probably read other peoples journals for that :p

I did a re-recording of my first set on Saturday (Electro....mostly)

And will re do another Highland Fling one soon too...and hopefully get them online somewhere for people to download...that way you can pretend you were there...or just re listen to the night

...at Scotiacon....and it went...well I guess. I had fun, people danced and seemed to enjoy there selves

It has been a while....sorry bout the wait, there was a delay starting the project...but once more I bring forth a FE video...this one not DVD size... more like just under 40 minutes.

Got 2 versions for you wonderful people to look at,

First one is the Standard Quality, the second is the High Quality.

Both of which are in 720p (sorry bout my camera), but the Standard Quality has about 1/3rd of the bit rate compared to the High Quality one...you can't really notice a difference, but the file size is a lot smaller! (1.6 gig and 500 meg)
