So haven't been drawing much. Plus the temps are getting pretty high here this week; too muggy for me to want to do much, but I'll get back to drawing soon (b^^)b

My tablet pen's battery is dying, as far as I can tell. It still seems to function for the most part for now, but trying to write is getting inaccurate and jaggy. I'm ordering new tips and getting a new battery. I'm this close to finishing a drawing, and it requires dialogue.
It's getting relatively annoying, so quitting for now until I get a fresh battery, at least ^^ Hopefully tomorrow :P

The ninth Wings of Fire book came out today; Darkstalker. I ordered it with same day delivery, and just finished reading it.
It was freaking great.

I don't find inspiration to draw things on my own as much as I'd like, which is why I like taking requests as much as I do. The more you draw, the better you get, obviously, and I don't get much practice on my own.

I did find the inspiration to do a bit of fan art, though, and I tend to give personal work more precedence than the requests I get.
What I'm drawing atm isn't going to disrupt my main drawing "schedule" much, though, so I'll be back at the few requests I've still got going in the next couple days or so ^^

Is pretty fun. I can easily see my interest in it tapering off after I build a motorized raft, but it's got my attention for now ^^

Alright, so for the past couple weeks my inspiration to draw has been pretty much nil; but yesterday I received something I ordered in the mail that should (and has so for) give it a heck of a boost. I got a surface pro 3.

Actually looking at what you draw? Who the hell has ever heard of such a thing?! Does Obama know about this?

MFG, after updating to Windows 10 and doodling a quick 'thank you' t-rex sketch to the seller, I opened a somewhat newer personal pic I had started a bit back and finished the sketch, and started lining. After about two hours of drawing on it, I think I've got most of its quirks down. It'll take a bit more to get used to it, but the display is amazingly beautiful .

Anyway, I can easily see myself spending the majority of my free time drawing for awhile, so I'll be nailing down everything I've been (kinda) working on for the past month.

So I spent a good few hours doing a handful more sketches for the last previous request I'm working on, and polished the older ones. Before I started lining, though, I got hit like a train by (I think) hay fever after taking a shower. Congested and eyes wouldn't stop watering for freakin' hours 3:<
Got a lot done, though; just a couple more sketches and lines/colors; should have 'em done in the next couple days ^^ Feeling more motivated to actually pick up my graphics tablet xD
It might have something to do with me planning on upgrading hardware related to me doing artwork sometime in the near future xD

Haven't touched my graphics tablet in a bit over a week; got some more sketches done for a request I'm working on today, but over the past couple weeks work as picked up.
Usually I work very early in the morning, get home and spend three or four hours until noon drawing. Nowadays I've been having to stay longer and don't have any inspiration/desire to draw by the time I get home.
I figure either my schedule will go back to normal or I'll get used to it; definitely still going at it though. Once I finish the request I'm working on at the moment, I'll take a few more ^^

Working on a handful at the moment; in a week or two I'll update when they're open again with another journal ^^

I drew myself something for my birthday this month, but instead of pacing myself like I originally planned, I spent 8+ hours a day over the past three days doing nothing but drawing, lining, rendering and illustrating. My wrist and arm dexterity is shot for the first time since 2012, which was the last year I took classes in/for fine arts.

I finished it a week early, and since it's heavily and obviously themed for my birthday, I won't be submitting it until then. I will, however, give a hint as to its theme, and you'll find that hint in the title of this journal.

Since I built my current computer in February of 2014 I've been running an illegitimate copy of windows 7. My brother asked me if I wanted windows 10 recently, and I told him no thanks; I didn't want to spend another 100 dollars on another copy of an OS I already paid for in the past, and I didn't want him spending that much for me now. We did, however, look into buying an installation key for windows 8 pro, since all legitimate copies of 7 and 8 get a free upgrade to 10. It was 30 bucks.

So that came in the mail yesterday (technically two days ago) and I've spent every waking second since applying updates for windows 8 so I could install 8.1, then install windows 10. It took over 24 hours because the update process kept failing and reverting. I ended up installing a handful at a time (out of 180, with a reboot between every handful) while watching through Oban Star Racers again for shits and gigs during the waiting periods. I finally matched the update requirements for 8.1, installed it, updated THAT, and FINALLY installed 10 a few hours ago.

Which completely blew my secondary GPU that I use for my dual monitor setup out of the water. Apparently slightly older Nvidia GPUs aren't perfectly compatible when used as a secondary or while SLI'd. Hopefully it should be patched in the future, but until then no second monitor for me.

Anyway, though I'm glad it's over, it took over 24 hours for me to finish updating to windows 10 and I could have had a few pics that I've been working on done. It's nearly 1 AM now, and though I don't normally go to bed this early, I'm tired. I'm gonna eat a few corn-bread muffins while finishing the last few episodes of Oban I've get left, go to bed and start cranking in Paint Tool Sai first thing in the morning.

I don't normally update my journal because I doubt anyone cares, but in this case I do.
So I just moved from northern Michigan to southern California; before I moved I started illustrating some line art I finished (mostly) before I started packing up. I've been here for the past few days now, but I've spent the majority of my time so far just traveling around and getting used to the new setting. I've yet to update my ID/driver license, and I've still got quit a bit of unpacking to do.

But despite being rather busy, knowing that I've got a half finished drawing that I damn well intend to finish is eating at me. If I can schedule an appointment at the dmv tomorrow, hopefully I can get most of that sorted out, finish unpacking and FINALLY sit down and finish it; hell, maybe being away from it for a week will help me see things about it with new vigor and help to improve it.

[ /pointless rant ]

I was about halfway through another Ndnd request when I thought of another way that I could draw it. I thought about it for a bit and realized that the way I was drawing it already would cover too much stuff up.

In other words I've started the drawing over ^^ I'm not quite sure when It'll be done, seeing as it's a personal preference that I only draw on weekdays, but it'll be up eventually :D

My last journal was over a year ago, and that's unacceptable in my eyes ^^

Don't draw very much still, but have been more than usual. Other than that, though, there's not much going on...

Well, ive started drawin again. i dont have internet, tho. but i do have a ps3 slim now ... and u can upload pics with it online (I can varify it, seeing that i just did so) ... and one of my neihbors has an un-password protected network... u put the pieces together XD

had cpu issues, don't anymore. now i just need internet at my place. Other than that, i've been sufferin from a bit o drawer's block. I have had a bit of inspiration lately, though. maybe ill draw sommat tomorro.

Well, ive got some cpu trouble... so no uploads for me T_T
