Hi again! I'm gonna ramble a bit, hold tight...

Through all my time on FA and other social platforms, viewcounts and favs have been the bane of my existence. They hugely restrict what I can post, in fear of seeing 0 views for a pic I could've spent a lot of time and thought on.

What's the solution? A place without viewcounts! Namely, Discord. So I'm making a server where I can share, see and discuss art with hopefully likeminded people. Topics would include my interests like scifi and worldbuilding, and of course vore for those who like it.

Hi, been a bit!

Comms have been closed for a while due to... various circumstances and reasons, and for a few years now (jeez) I didn't feel good enough to reopen them.

But I feel enough time has passed to try again, so like the title says, I'm cautiously reopening my commissions to see if anybody has been wanting to get one. For now just sketches, but we'll see about stuff like spot colors and shading.

Gotta be honest, I feel like I'm running low on inspiration again. It's always frustrating when that happens, eventually leading to an art block. Also the backlog turned out smaller than I thought, a lot of it is private or simply unfinished.

So I'd like to do an experiment and ask for suggestions here. Kinda like pseudo-requests? Shoot me a comment and tell me what you'd like to see more of - species, scenarios, anything really.

Another thing I've had in mind is doing cheap sketch YCHs: I enjoy drawing peoples' characters and adding a personal touch to artwork, even if not my own touch. Sound like fun?

Alternatively I've seen some people keep an open list of characters to be featured in art they make/commission, with other people volunteering their characters for various roles and scenarios.

So yeah, I hope to hear from you guys. I started posting online because I wanted to make people happy with my art, and I want to keep doing that.

I've been sketching since kindergarten. It's a fun way to pass hours, allowing the mind to focus on pictures like no other time. Coloring on the other hand is a tedious stressful affair; blocking in shapes, cleaning up messy lines, checking every square centimeter for spots... I don't think I've painted more than once since that big Kulve YCH.

Now that I'm posting my work online I have to admit, some days it gets pretty discouraging to look at my gallery or art folders only to see an ocean of gray with poorly scratched lines making weak shapes. I feel like I lack the attention, discipline and commitment of pretty much any other artist on this site, who are able to sit down and work on making colorful paintings and illustrations.

I know I shouldn't compare myself to others. I know I shouldn't treat myself as able and at 100%. Call it perfectionism, self-doubt, vanity, whatever you want; but I would like to know how you all feel about the quality of my art? Is it okay to see a gray square on your feed once every few weeks?

It always hurts to work 3 hours on a picture only for it to get no attention.

I guess I kinda posted it with no warning, but horror has been a long-time interest for me and something I'd like to share and post along with my other art too.

Now I'm just wondering how many watchers will turn away from me, with good reason.

Hi,

If you have been watching my gallery, you might have noticed me being gone for weeks or months at a time. I don't really know if that's unusual or anything, but still I feel I should try talk about it.

Back in summer 2019 I was diagnosed with depression, fluctuating between "moderate" and "severe" depending on the doctor. Of course this had been going on for years before any official diagnosis, but I suppose things escalated to a point where people around me took notice and suggested medical attention.

Ever since then life has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, in a lot of regards - mood, energy, motivation, discipline; all of it affecting my ability and consistency as an artist. Maybe someday things will even out somewhat, but I can't know that, so no promises.

What that means over here on FA is that my art has worsened both in quality and quantity, and what little I manage to make myself draw never feels worth sharing. A few commissions are in limbo due to this as I struggle with both ideas and execution, let alone drawing a single line. To those waiting, I apologize for my absence and lack of communication. If you want to talk about new or existing arrangements, feel free to contact me.
