After a run in with a maga... FREAK who decided it was worth dredging up a journal I commented on a year ago I need to make this clear: If you're maga you don't count as human to me. If you spread propaganda from the republicans (like election denial or absolute bullshit claims that biden's economy was bad) you aren't human to me. I speak with those willing to learn, to understand, to accept they are wrong or to actually prove they are right. I don't talk to braying, mentally challenged ANIMALS who want to harm others, don't have a single valid thought of their own and only echo that which they were told or god forbid are actually full on evil and working on aiding and abetting an administration and political organization that has murdered innocents, declared war on cities for daring to not vote for them and are eagerly working on trying to prevent their near certain loss of power in november.

Maga are animals, and if you honestly view yourself as part of that group do us both a favor by fucking off and not even bothering in the first place.

It has been just over a week since I learned that one of my best friends  Pantra passed away. I... still can't really believe it. I know he'd been having a hard time, being in heart failure for a while, having had a major medical event that just led to him having major issues. A month before he passed he ended up in the hospital again but he never told me what happened. I didn't find out until the 25th that he had passed, apparently about 2 days after he did.

Pantra was a dear friend, I'd known him for over a decade easily. He was fun to talk to, fun to RP with, just a truly wonderful and caring furball all around and the world really is a worse place without him. He'd struggled and suffered during the last year or two of his life and I can only truly hope that he is without the pain that tormented him during his final months.

It doesn't feel real, it really doesn't. A month ago he and I were chatting and I was doing what I could to help cheer him up, I lose contact for him a bit as it sometimes happens when he was dealing with multiple doctor appointments that exhausted him and then I see a journal announcing that someone else had learned he passed. There one day, gone the next effectively. I keep opening Telegram thinking that I'll talk with him just to remember that he isn't there anymore.

I've not talked about it much, I'm not the most social of beings, but I'm my grandma's primary caretaker. Thankfully my job approved my FMLA request so that I can take time off as I need to in order to take care of her. I've unfortunately had to use it *quite* a bit lately due to her being more wobbly than normal and that's happening AGAIN today and unfortunately the time off is unpaid. While I'm so glad that I got that approved time off with job protection what it has meant is that my finances are so totally screwed. Last pay period I lost 15 hours of pay (I get paid biweekly) and this pay period I'm staring down a loss of 17 hours of pay.

I could theoretically manage that but it would be an EXTREMELY tight financial situation for me. Because of this I'm going to have to ask for help. I'm looking to Get about $600 total (though $800 would be amazing) to shove half of it into bills that have fallen behind and the rest into an emergency grocery fund that I'll be drawing on for the next few weeks.

It's thankfully been almost a year since my finances were at risk and this time they are, again. This time for a more mundane reason. I hurt my wrist, soft tissue injury. Problem is it took me out for nearly 30 hours of work which is, a problem when it comes to handling both bills and grocery funds. No seriously, tag blocking works wonders IF PEOPLE TAG THEIR SHIT. Unfortunately some are too lazy, stupid, or even in some cases MALICIOUS to properly tag their stuff.

And yes this is a call out towards a few of the AMAZING artists I found once but I can literally never, ever EVER find again intentionally because they don't do tags, they don't do descriptions and their titles are just "commission for (name)" or something of the like.

Tag, your fucking art. Or failing that, make tagging art mandatory.

I've finally gotten to trying to design a crown for my cuga since she's a queen of a land... and I do not have anywhere near the artistic tallent to make a proper crown for her. I have a basic design for it but I'd like to find an artist who would be able to refine it quite a bit more. If you do or know anyone who does I'd love to know please.

SO, my grandpa is the one who handles the rent for where he, my grandma and I live. Grandma's payee is supposed to help by sending him some money every month. The payee screwed up and failed to properly send him the money which caused one of the rent checks to bounce. Landlord is letting me pay it back but with my current job and pay it's going to cripple my finances for quite a time to come. If anyone is willing to help with this I set up a gofundme. Even $5 or $10 will help but $500 is the minimum I want to meet so I can cover the bounced amount plus extra because the landlord allows an excess 'credit' to sit on the acct.

Yeah I'm going to join the chorus, whatever bloody numpty up in FA HQ made the decision that even creatures like POKEMON who have a LEVEL based evolution system and not an AGE based evolution system (hello everstone) is under the concern of being 'child porn' is a damn idiot!

I get that cracking down on child porn as hard as possible is a good thing but broadening the range so far that you attack things such as pokemon and digimon all because someone somewhere MIGHT think they look child like is a fine way to finally slaughter this website that's been limping along for years due to it simply being THE place.

This policy needs to be reconsidered immediately and returned to a case by case basis rather than "if it possibly looks like a child, it violates CP policies".

I know i have no weight, and all I'm doing is screaming into the wind but this really needs to be reconsidered else it's a direct attack on one of the core groups of the website.

Edit: FA has clarified the policy to try to indicate that pokemon GENERALLY won't get the treatment except when clearly meant to be a child but even that is borderline vague as it is. Who decides if a charmander is meant to be a child or merely a member of the evolution line who just doesn't want to evolve for many reasons?

So, this is a rather petty rant, and it's not indicative of all artists nor really a criticism of anyone in particular just a major gripe I'm having lately.

Do many furry artists forget that payday is on friday, not mon-thur? Do they forget that people have the highest portion of spending income closer to payday rather than further away from it?

I've had to bypass possible art for months now because each time an artist I want to comm shows up they do so at the worst possible time in regards to income. I'm one of those weirdos that generally refuses to put art on credit cards and would rather be able to pay it off sooner.

I'mma repeat myself, this is an extremely petty complaint and is basically the same as saying 'I can't afford luxury items' but it's more about how awful so many artists are with their timing. Sure it works out for them as their slots fill up obviously but it's just... so annoying.

My old grey fuzzball little paw passed away. Same cause as pikachu, lung cancer. I feel so fucking bad, I treated those two cats poorly when I was a young dumb shithead and I only just started to get them to really like me in the last year of their respective lives. None of my other cats are over the age of 10 so hopefully, VERY HOPEFULLY, I don't have to go through this heart ripping pain again anytime soon.

July 6th, 2019, at 7:09 pm CST. That's the date and time of death for my poor black and white fuzzball. Pikachu, a little silly I had since I was 12, went deaf about 8 months ago and developed nasal issues about 5 months ago. Turns out the nasal issue and her effective cause of death were linked. She developed metastatic lung cancer that is believed to have started in her nose, where both the vet and I originally thought it was bacterial in nature.

She's now able to rest easy, breathing clear air and getting love in whatever passes for kitty heaven. I will miss her dearly but at the very least her pain is no more.

Rest in peace pikachu, I'll see you again, hopefully not sooner than half a century from now.

I appologize ahead of time for those that subscribe to beliefs that I complain about here but I need to finally get this off my chest.

Rule 34 is pretty much required to allow art of creatures like pokemon to exist to a degree, this I can accept. The problem I have though is taking creatures that are male only in every bit of lore and slaping breasts, removing the dick and adding a vagina to it, that forever pisses me off. I look for nidoking art and I see pretty much a nidoqueen painted to look like a nidoking for an example, I can understand the fact that some people refuse to look or draw a dick but for fucks sake.

Problem number two I have invovles the rare times that I see someone actually keep set genders, why the hell does something that's a godzilla esque creature have a dick that belongs on a human? why does something like a dog, or a cat, or even a god damn horse have a human dick. That's even more damn outlandish to me than the first one. When I look for art of anthro animals I expect atleast some acknowledgement that a god damn dog would still have a dog dick even if it's on two legs. not this... freakshow of being 95% dog 5% human.

Again appologies if this rubs people the wrong way but god damn this has annoyed me to no end and it makes it impossible for me to find art that I like of certain characters that exist.

I'm sure this won't be the first journal you all see about this, but yesterday we lost a legend. The name behind many of the pokemon games, including all of generation 3, and the pokemon mystery dungeon games on the GBA and DS. We can only hope that the one to succeed him, will be just as good.

Will not call anyone out, not worth my breath, but sadly I'm still seeing those without much intelligence spreading false information about the IMVU buyout. Anyone know why people are unable to do some research and just repeat the same false info that has been proven wrong repeatedly?

If dell, in the future, comes out with their own OS then my friend's story will be confirmed. I wonder if this is true but apparently the head of dell's R&D stole some files that someone was working on for their own homemade OS system.
