Prices? Well, $1500 is what I want for my work in general, but $750 is what I need right now. $550 is the lowest I can go and still make something that looks good. That's the reality on my end, so the budget is up to what you can or want to pay.

First of all, you might really enjoy it. That violin at the end really hits hard. It's my favorite song to perform too, I love that I get to play very soft drums in the beginning and go full force at the end.
Secondly, I really had to fight hard for this song. It's a long long story, but after everything, some pro-Anthony comments (If genuinely deserved) on that post will make us all feel better about the extra efforts put into this final version of the song.

I got a lot of positive feedback on it, and thank you all for that but the tablet I was temporarily working on simply didn't show me the right values, colors and contrasts, and in some cases that made my art really drop in quality. It looked right to me at the time but as soon as I saw the painting on a better screen, I knew it needed a fix.

2020 Was great.
And I feel guilty for saying that because for so many, obviously, it could have been the worst year ever. For me it was the best year ever.
By all possible standards and points of view, I made it. Financially I'm doing great, I love my work, I'm drowning in job offers and commission requests, every part of 2020 was full of different experiences, I had time to play, time out in the nature, time working, time creating music...
But all good things come to an end...
My country, already a hellscape of cheap labor and exploitation that I managed to escape by starting freelancing, now wants to destroy freelance workers too by implementing over 50% tax rate for any amount of earnings. And apart form now being in danger of falling into debt slavery because they want to tax people for everything we earned in the past 5 years at that tax rate plus interest, adding up to 80%, it's now clear, more than ever, that because I was born here in Serbia, I can't have a future. I will never own a home, never feel safe, never feel welcome (They literally stated that they don't want us in the country). I never thought I would be persecuted for being a freelance artist... But her I am.
So I think that paints a clear picture of why I'm feeling a lot of stress... But there's more.

So despite having a job that I love, I now need to look for a permanent job outside of the county, in hope of leaving Serbia an earning citizenship somewhere else.
The process of sending out job applications is stressful. Job descriptions always feel like I'm still missing at least 10 years of work experience just to get a junior position. Waiting for replies is beyond anxiety triggering and here's the catch... If I don't get a job, that will bring me down harder that anything possible. I know I'm not the best, but really, I'm still not good enough?
But what if I get one? Somehow it feels worse.
All of a sudden, I'm leaving everything, alone, no one to come with me, to a strange place, leaving my pet, family, everything I own (and everything I own are dreams that came true for me through HARD work), my music, my current job that I care so much about...
More bad things?
It's all unpredictable. I don't know when and how things will unfold. Everything I know could be changing in the next few weeks or the job search could last for a year, or longer. There's literally no way of knowing. Again, all anxiety inducing, and technically, I can't make plans that take longer than a month to complete. Every time my band mates talk to me a about recording song or gigs when Covid restrictions end, all I can tell them is, if it's not happening this month, it might not happen ever.
Oh yes, there's more.
My mom and sister live with me. I am now supporting my sister until she gets a new job, and she's dealing with all the same stress related to the search. Example, she does unpaid tests, that she NAILS, does a great job, gets rejected anyway. I of course supported her quitting and escaping the toxicity and abuse of her former studio job but my savings are pretty much gone now because, best case scenario, she will have missed 2 months of paychecks. It could easily be more than that so all the financial burden is on me.
Also... We don't own our own home and or landlord is actively trying to sell the apartment we leave in so at any point he can finally sell it and we will have to move out, almost certainly to a more expensive but worse apartment because our landlord is the only man in town whose rent is at a reasonable, affordable rate.
So, do I move my family now before I move out of the country (still not knowing when that will be) or do I just leave if the opportunity arrives, let them stay here and have them alone deal with moving after they get an eviction notice when I'm gone?

Does all of that sound like a terrible position to be in? Is it natural to feel torn apart?

Hey all! Now that I can say that the worst is over and that she will be fine, my cat Sana had a difficult surgery, and she's in therapy every day to help speed up the recovery.
As far as being close to your pet is concerned, I am on the extreme end of love towards Sana, after 10 years of her always being close to me, every single day, everything she goes through, I go through with her and this was quite hard. But at least this was to prevent an even more serious or deadly illness.

But as you know all this came with some unexpected costs and I will have to work overtime to cover it.
At the end of the therapy the cost will reach 400$ (receipts can be provided for proof) so I figure I could accept at least 2 landscape commissions for 200$ each. Example https://www.furaffinity.net/view/39410635/
The reason to offer this specific format is that it's really my comfort zone, I can guaranty quality while still being able to work on multiple projects at once.

And don't worry, everything is already taken care of, I'm just trying to go the extra mile to ensure stability, since this came on top of my mom's surgery, my own medical bills and my sisters temporary unemployment. Hey all, my band recently released an album that features a song that I take most of the credit for. All of our songs are personal stories of our guitarist/singer but this time I got to tell a story of my own.
As a drummer I had to be very creative to find ways to tell other musicians what to play and most of them really nailed it.
But to be honest, I went through personal hell to make that song what it is, and it still didn't end up perfect due to very unprofessional behavior of our producer who made some choices without my consent and made corrections impossible.
