General | Posted 6 years agoBeen playing a lot of Monster Hunter World lately, and it's still as fun as when I first started it up. Gets boring doing things solo though, and I'm ehhhh about popping in with randos. Anyone out there still play it and feel like bitch-slapping some giant critters? I'm up for just about anything.

General | Posted 7 years agoI play a lot of video games. Like....probably an unhealthy amount of them. Oh well, they keep me entertained and give me an outlet.
That being said, it seems like most if the multiplayer games I enjoy, my friends either stopped playing, don't play at all, or only play rarely. Which is fine for the most part, I'm not their keeper after all.
Still kinda sucks when I get into a game and can't play with my friends much, if at all.

General | Posted 7 years agoSo...been feeling oddly social lately. I know, weird right?
But I've been doing more multiplayer games lately. Got a few I've been focusing on, but these days I've been mostly about Destiny 2, World of Warships (even though i'm not very good at it), Star Trek Online, and Final Fantasy 14 (the one taking most of my time).
Honestly, would like to have more folks I could poke and say "Hey...wanna go do stuff?"
There's a lot of other games I play that I didn't list, and I'm usually up for trying a new one, so if y'all have other suggestions, let me know

Sat down at computer. Turn chair to side to see what cat is doing. Cat is running at me full tilt boogie. Cat does a flying leap off the side table next to my desk. Splat. Lands on my face. Has legs wrapped around my head. And is licking my face and hair for almost a minute before letting go and running off, purring like a diesel engine the entire time. Meanwhile, I'm too shocked and confused to do anything but sit there until well after she ran away.
And yes, realistically, it was more that she was resting her back paws on my shoulders and hugging my head with her forelegs, but still. What in the actual fuck, cat?

Might have work get called off again due to weather. Already lost a day and a half because of a blizzard last week, and now losing even MORE time today.
Don't get me wrong, I love long weekends (especially when my standard 3 days turns into 4), but this is starting to cut into my livlihood. I'm tired of the cold, the snow, and the general bullshit of the winter months. I am definitely a warm weather person. For perspective: it is currently -10 Fahrenheit, but with the 31 mph winds, it feels like -40. Frostbite can occurr within 10 minutes if you're not prepared.
"But Amo! If it's hot out, you can only take off so many layers to cool off. In the cold, you can always add another layer!"
Yeah, maybe. But the heat in summer doesn't physically fucking hurt if it hits bare skin, and you can't die by going outside, taking too deep a breath too quickly, and your FUCKING LUNGS FREEZE. And for the record, if you know what you're doing, you only need to take off as many layers as is legal in order to beat the heat. Heat stroke, heat exhaustion, sunburn... Yeah, I'll admit, those can be bad. But those are all recoverable. But in cold you have hypothermia, frostbite, your lungs freezing, and probably a shit ton of others that I can't be assed to look up right now (for both heat and cold). Respectively: treatable/recoverable, recoverable but risk losing a limb, and death.
In closing: Fuck winter with the earth's godforsaken tilted axis.

Second, does anyone know of any artists good at drawing humans? I kinda want to get a picture done of my character from Final Fantasy 14. So someone with human AND fantasy art skills would be ideal.
