Introspection
General | Posted 10 years agoI don't mind statements like "furries are creepy" or stuff of the like. Why should what they think affect what I think? What I do care is how people would look at me differently. I dont blame them. Whether you like furries or not, the fact that I am a furry will change the way you see me, for better or for worse. Unfortunately, it seems that for most people outside communities like these, it is usually for the worse. I don't mind that they don't like furries in and of itself, but it makes it hard to find other furries IRL. Not many people have the courage to announce to the public that he or she is a furry, thus it is hard to find others like me. The true harm of stigma against any minority group is not the feeling of not being accepted. It is the feeling of being alone.
Bonus points if you managed to decipher my brain dump. Thank you for taking time out of you lives to pay attention to my two cents.
