Hi all! I’ve made it through another trip around the Sun! Getting older isn’t easy but ensuring I keep young in mind and heart makes the physical pangs worth it. Love and hugs to my FA friends that have kept me going.

Well, a day like today doesn’t come often, as I’ve left yet another decade behind and grown one year older. Such a trip it’s been so far. Though I’m a long time introvert, I’ve still barely traveled as much as I’d like to, but survived recent upsets like equestrian spills that nearly messed up my love for horses,. I also made it through multiple little surgeries as the body starts to really get that “check engine light” feeling going, and also survived cancer. Most of all, I’ve enjoyed an ongoing love for the many friends I’ve made here on FA, including a multitude of artists, also the local furries I’ve been lucky enough to meet in person, and also those few whom developed love for myself and my fursona characters. Time to celebrate!

So I’ve dealt with another hard day today. My horse riding training, which I’ve done on and off for a long while, has had me being thrown to the ground twice in a short time frame. I’m nearing more later middle aged years and really wonder if I need to pursue something else. The physical pain has now crept into me mentally. I am having sleeping issues and more frequent cramped stomach pains. But how do you let go of something you’ve loved for so many years?

Just sending out New Year's well wishes to all of you on FA, and wanted to thank those artists of all backgrounds for sharing your works here. Whether it be digital or traditional art, writing, photography, etc., I always appreciate watching and seeing various works appearing throughout the past year.

A special thanks to those whom asked for and created art that included my fursonas with them. Also, plenty of thanks to those artists creating adopted creatures to purchase: I added quite a few to my collection this past year!

Well I’m out of pocket a bit and have much catching up to do here. Had a bad nausea and vertigo incident Monday due to potential heat exhaustion after being out horse riding too much in Sunday’s humidity. Plus I have had bad migraines the past two days. Has anyone dealt with these dreaded headaches? If so, how do you deal with yours?

Hello all. Just have to vent out some feelings. My spouse and I experienced a sudden loss of a friend: she is a much older lady, no one in the furry genre, but a good friend we've known since we lived here in Arizona since 2009. She has been dealing with stage 4 cervical cancer but tragically, things took a worse turn this week. She had been having constant other health issues and started to experience imbalance and stomach issues, not even able to keep in food at times. She had taken a fall that broke a hip, but recently fell at home and hit her head hard: resulting in a bone break in both the back and neck regions. Next thing I know, I'm seeing on social media from a family member I had never met that she was in ICU, and her kidneys were shutting down. We got word in the post that she was slowly passing away as of yesterday....all of this happened within a matter of a week. And to think she never even had a chance to start chemo yet!

She was special to us as she was co-founder with her wife of a guinea pig and small pet rescue they ran out of their home. Nearly every guinea pig I've owned since 2009 has been from their rescue and their miraculous efforts to find homes and love for abandoned "pocket" pets. Life is more than just cats and dogs as pets, despite what much of social media says, and I'm thankful I knew her.

Never take life for granted, folks. Enjoy it, find your passion, and stick to your dreams: make them a reality.
