Offer to turn towards terror to take time to take temporary
free-falls from fear. Afraid, felt Foaley. Freedom fights for fake
delights; dismal days, due destruction. Finding death desires
happiness. Happiness harbors hatred. On heckling horsemen
rides rabid revenge. Vengeance released – run rampant.

2013 going into 2014
Posted 12 years ago2013 was an odd year for me. It started in by far the worst way a year had ever started for me, but by the end of 2013, I've never felt better. It was a year jam-packed with experiences, that's for sure.
I hope all of you had a fine 2013 and here's to a 2014 full of new experiences and positivity.
Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday to me! Here's this album I made!
Posted 12 years agoHello! Today is my birthday and so I give to you this thing I've been working on for the brunt of the Winter.
Thank you to all the watchers and friends I've made during my time here for well, pretty much everything! I was in quite a sorry state before joining this community on as much of a whim as I did, and simply being a part of it healed me in a way I seriously didn't see coming. The music scene in here is astoundingly good, the writing is top-notch, and I don't think I need to mention how great the visual artists are. Everyone is friendly and approachable, just- man, I can't thank y'all enough for existing. You're all fantastically awesome.
Oh right, the album. Bam.

I hope you enjoy!

Welcome Back, New Burial EP, and Shoutouts!
Posted 12 years agoIn the sudden and unexpected down-time that this wonderful website went through, I found myself missing this place quite a lot more than I thought. Considering I'm still fairly new in this, (and at this,) I think that's saying something about how cool the community is. So with that said, welcome back to y'all!
In other news, Burial's new EP "Rival Dealer" came out officially yesterday. For those that don't know, Burial is a UK-based Electronic musician who's been causing massive ripples in the dubstep and future-garage circles of the genre. He's known for creating very layered, moody sounds, brought forth by complicated garage-inspired drum patterns, all wrapped up in a dense coat of ambient noises. He's also my favorite musician. His music, to me, is so vividly textured, that it never fails to take me through expansive worlds and create veritable stories in my mind. I can gush for hours about how much I adore his music, but instead, I'll just point you to his latest effort. "Rival Dealer" is a very experimental EP for Burial, not unlike the other EPs he's released since his second LP "Untrue" (which was my top album of that year.) It features directions that one would think that Burial wouldn't go in, but he manages to explore them fruitfully, bringing us an EP about first being lost and suffering from difference, to finally finding acceptance, and love. I consider it to be quite a touching story, and I'm sure many can find something relatable in these 3 tracks. Without further ado, here's the first track. It's awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd3Ch53PxBs
While I'm prancing around spreading some Christmas love to Burial, I'd also like to extend some to a few other artists here who've caught my eye and ear.
H-O-L's music is experience. This mysterious, shapeless, abstract being creates beautiful and nostalgic tunes, born from the early days of when Electronic music was still finding itself. The passion in his music is so clear, that I truly believe H-O-L has perfected that sound, and I'd go as far as comparing it to some of Aphex Twin's "Extended Ambient Works" projects. With minimal pads and samples that probably pre-date me, H-O-L is definitely one to watch (with your ears).
LeftoverAutopsyJuice is a friendly, gentlemanly, looking-thing with goggles for eyes or something, who not only draws beautifully macabre pieces of gross looking-things, but also owns his own Burg! You can easily move into it too, simply by watching his wonderfully sticky self. Dude is currently taking commissions too, so go pick some up if you can help it.
Archinist is an artist I've stumbled upon quite recently, and I must say, his art is nothing short of awe-inspiring. His depictions of incredibly vast landscapes of worlds he's created are absolutely beautiful, and his use of a palette of whites and silvers makes them very emotive. I've actually gotten a few song ideas from viewing his pieces (one of which will be on my upcoming album, which is in 9 days!) and he's definitely become a favorite of mine. I highly, highly encourage you to go look at his stuff. It's positively breath-taking.
Villdyret was the first fur to take notice of me, and after a visit to his gallery of screaming machinery and other heavily distorted sounds, I gotta say I'm nothing but ecstatic for him finding me. If you like some harsh noise akin to things Merzbow's done, this husky's raw, muddy, auditory energy is sure to leave you with some fearful adrenaline and ringing ears. Try "TerrorGod" as well as his latest double EP "Beast/Blizzard". That stuff is great.
Psyrus On the other side of the equalizer, we have Psyrus. She's an ambient producing rave-bird with a penchant for creating vast soundscapes with very emotive song structure. Her sound conjures up images of freedom and flight, and her use of guitars give the sound a very post-rock inspired timbre. She's another one who stumbled upon my tunes and by extension, I stumbled upon her's. Her newest album "Collapse" is a great compilation of the absolutely beautiful Ambient Doodles that she's released in the past. I highly recommend it. I should also mention the band she's in,
OfSummers, an electronic post-hardcore band that she provides vocals for. They're going to release an album quite soon, so if you're into that genre, definitely check that out.
And that's all for now. Again, my album is set to release December 27th so be ready for that. Welcome back Fur Affinity, welcome back all of you, you're all awesome, good days!

Aevsivs Is Releasing An Album?!
Posted 12 years agoThat's right Gerald!
I'll be releasing an album for free over on my Bandcamp on December 27th, which also happens to be my birthday. It'll have the same sort of sound as the stuff you may have heard in my gallery right here, so if you enjoy that, get excited and hyped for some very unexciting and quiet music!
