*A shot of a single seat against a plain, black, low-key lit background fuzzes into view. The sounds of a door opening and closing, followed by quick, but quiet steps can be heard just off-screen. Moments later, a de-focused mass of blue fur fills the frame, before its owner steps away from the camera and forward towards the seat. We’re treated to the view of wide, fuzzy, and idly wiggling abdomen belonging to a short, blue-furred jumping spider, the arachnid attached to it taking a moment to rotate in place to inspect the room he’s in. His now-focused features come into view, as four amber eyes take notice to the camera filming him. With a light blush and bashful wiggle of his pedipalps, the blue bug takes a seat crossed-legged, folding his six arms over his lap with a little smile.*
1. What is your name?
I am Aevsivs! *Lips raise in a hearty grin, joined by a merry palp-salute* Well, “Aev”. People tend to have trouble with the second half, so I generally answer to little shortened versions of my names, if not just “Bug” or “Spider”, heheh.
Do you know why you were named that?
Not really! *Chuckles a little, palps rubbing each other in thought* I had a dream that my name is tied in some way to the phrase “Elephant Gear”, but that’s about the extent of what I know. For as long as I’ve lived, I’ve been Aevsivs.
3. Single or taken?
*Fluffs up happily, mouth parts having a cute little wiggle from delightful thoughts* Yep yep! It’s quite wonderful, it keeps a bug real warm, it does. Ahhh.
4. Have any abilities or powers?
Well… I can make silk! I’m not much of a tailor, but I can spin up a working hammock or comfortable little nest pretty much anywhere! I can also make some lifelines or dangle from ceilings if the situation calls for it! *Grins proudly, watchful eyes would notice his abdomen curling up a little at that too*
5. Stop being a Mary Sue!
*Makes an exasperated face, leaning forward slightly* Oh please, I’m a spider and I can’t even spin web, I’m already lacking in natural resources here!
6. What's your eye color?
*Leans back again, widening his eyes* Pretty orangey-yellowy, last time I checked! Those are the main ones anyway. I’ve also got… *Bows his head forward and slightly to the side, parting his hair to reveal tiny little beady black dots on the side of his head* …these guys here. They’re my secondary eyes, and those are… well, you’d have to look real close if you wanted to see what color they were, heheh. *He adjusts himself to have one knee up and the other foot down on the ground, resting his three thin elbows on the thick, raised limb* They’re hidden, but they don’t miss much, although my vision there’s a bit fuzzy, it is.
7. How about hair color?
Well, I just indirectly showed you, didn't I! For my monochromatic-vision having pals, it’s a bit of a lighter blue than the rest of me, heheh.
8. Have you any family members?
*Shrugs, palps noticeably rubbing themselves* I was in the second wave of babies out of the egg sac, and the only contact I had with anyone from my family was a brother who showed me the proper method of making a silk thread before ballooning away. I eventually did the same, and that was it!
9. Oh? How about pets?
*Grins widely* No, but ahhh, I really want a kitten! *Hugs his knee*
10. That's cool, I guess. Now tell me something you don't like.
*Seats himself back to his original position, it’s clear he’s really thinking about this* Hmm… I guess… rice. Yeah, I really don’t like rice. Buf… *Palps quiver, the bug wincing and shaking his head a little*
11. Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do?
*Immediately brightens up, a wide grin on his face as he pumps his arms with excitement* Oh yes! I spend a lot of my time doodling with sounds, and going out and recording sounds to doodle with later! I’m also actually a competitive fighting game player, heheh. I think I’m pretty ok at them, though I’ve yet to go to any major tournaments. I really want to though, so much!
12. Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before?
*Leans back awkwardly, pulling his palps over his mouth* Ahhh, only once… I still feel really bad about it. It’s sort of the reason I always do my best to never show my fangs, it’s a side of my species I don’t much care for, it is…

N-no! *Eyes widen, waving his hand-claws in a little panic* It wasn't that bad, gosh!
14. What kind of animal are you?
*Relaxes, turning his body to the side and reclining over the two arms of the seat, legs waving lazily over the side* Well, I’m a bold jumping spider, specifically of the genus Phiddipus, I am! Though I have a lot more fur than the average jumper. I’m not sure why that is, I think it actually may be a birth defect, heheh.
15. Name your worst habits.
I don’t know if it’s necessarily bad, but I tend to wiggle my fingers a lot. Not while I’m talking or anything just like, in general. It looks a bit weird to anyone who might notice! I think it may be tied to the palpies, heheh. *Mouth parts wiggling idly to themselves as he says that, as if to prove a point*
16. Do you look up to anyone at all?
Well, there is this mysterious blob of abstract existence whose music I very much admire! I talk about them a lot, I don’t really make a secret about how high a regard I hold them in.
17. Are you gay, straight, or bisexual?
*Leers at the camera for a quick moment before giving it a grin and a two-eyed wink, toes curling up a little* I am a homosexual! Out for about a year and a half, now!
18. Do you go to school?
I sure do! And it’s keeping me real busy, too! I’m surprised I even found the time to even attend this thing, heheh!
19. Ever want to marry and have kids one day?
*Looks up for a short moment’s reflection, before shaking his head* Nahh, not really. Well, maybe married down the line, who knows, but I really don’t know about kids, heheh.
20. Do you have fangirls/fanboys?
*Chuckles at that, adjusting his position so that he is veritably lying backwards on the seat, his legs up and over the back of the chair with his head upside down, smiling playfully into the camera* I’m really not sure! That’d be weird, I’m not sure how I’d take it if I knew, it’d be cool, I suppose! I’m a fanboy of whoever calls themselves a fan of me, heheh!
21. What are you most afraid of?
Wide, empty open spaces with absolutely nothing in them as far as I can see. *Shudders at the thought, nearly falling backwards on his face before he quickly grabbed the legs of the seat and pulled himself back up*
22. What do you usually wear?
*Parts his arms, showing off his fluffy body* A big fur coat, usually! I’ll wear jackets and hats and stuff if it’s real cold, though.
23. What's one food that tempts you?
*Pulls himself back up, now sitting crossed-legged on the chair, albeit with his back facing the camera.* Well… if I’m really hungry, I sometimes think… well… insects can look pretty tasty. *Immediately turns around, putting his hands out apprehensively* N-not that I ever would, though! I could never eat a potential pal!

Just thought I should let y'all know, for the next four months or so, I'm going to be incredibly busy. This college semester is my most important one, as I'll be working on my giant final project, and it's going to be the most intense, demanding and stressful work I'll have ever done. On top of that, I am also working during the week and even on some weekends, so suffice to say, I won't be seeing much free time at all, heheh. I'll try to make it online whenever I can, though! One's thing for sure in that I'll definitely miss the lot of you.

1 year anniversary of a spider + signal boost!

Exactly a year ago now, I became a furry. It was a very impulse thing I did late at night while dealing with some stressful times, and in an admittedly embarrassing state of apathy, I just looked up a "furry", made an account, posted a tune, then went to bed with the intention of not going back. Hey guess what, I ended up going back, to find that not only did it have views, but had actually gotten a favorite, too! I remember how seeing that made me feel really warm inside, and from that point on I was really glad I made that impulse decision! I made my fursona a spider, which I think fits who and how I am pretty comfortably!
Fast-forward to today, I am now the happiest bug in this community! In my year here, I've made such amazing friends who have touched my heart and made me feel so very warm, not to mention everyone who's shown their support for me! I have 100 watchers, gosh! I never expected to even get 1! I can't thank y'all enough for everything you do for me, gosh. That number really humbles me, seriously, I hope I can continue to make you all proud! I want to give you all so many appreciative six-armed hugs and face-palps for following me along, I'm really truly lucky to have you. Especially you! You're the best. Thank you! <3

This dude is so talented oh my goodness. This album is chock-full of some very stylistically impressive, almost house-influenced IDM sounds, and it's really hard not to get sucked into the cold atmosphere of these tracks. Definitely check this dude out he is so talented oh my goodness!!
ownbones with WZ-25
Ownjones has such an incredible ear for ambience, his stuff always sounds so professional, and this album especially wouldn't sound at all out of place in a game like STALKER. This album has this kind of ancient sound to it, like echoes from some unknown war. This album will take you into quite a fascinating space, it will. <3
viecruel with Piecemeal (This EP is found in their scraps, but I linked the first tune. You can hear the rest of it by simply clicking "newer." :3 )
This thing seems to have flown completely out of everyone's radar, which is a real shame considering how emotive this EP is! Honestly this is some of the most unique sounds I've heard in a while, and the feelings at work in these tracks are very akin to the kind of thing I strive for, but executed really well! Not to mention their art is really, really good. Do yourself a favor and check this stuff out, they very much deserve the plug!
Holocaust Action Figures (fronted by Slend) with 29 Dogs
This album rocks! With sounds that harken back to good old-fashioned punchy Louisville Punk styles, this album does a lot of smacking! Listen to this thing loud. <3
armykitty and Schizoid Enthusiast with The Existentialist
Batbxy does some of the most quality sample-based Hip Hop beats I've heard in a long time. His stuff is quite similar to the kinds of things Madlib puts out, and are always incredibly impressive! This whole collaboration is really diverse in sounds, packed into 3 tracks from each of them. If there's one track that comes out of this thing strong, it's "THE BUBBLE RXXM", which on its own, is probably one of the best beats I've heard this year. It is some really goosebumps giving stuff, it is!

Looking for a certain short story, can you help?

I remember a looong time ago reading this short story about this teeny tiny fur trapped inside a medical capsule, which is then swallowed by a much larger fur to help with a headache or something. I believe it was from the point of view of the tiny, trapped inside this pill, with the little guy thinking about how he, along with millions of other tinies, have been bio-engineered to provide healing components, and were subsequently used as ingredients for pain-relieving pills. I remember it being labeled as either a macro/micro or vore story, but the subject matter of it was very profound, being something that generated very potent feelings in me. It couldn't have been very long, but it ends with the tiny simply being digested, and that was that.
Have any of you read this thing? Do you know what I'm talking about? Did I just make this up in a crazy fever-dream? I've been looking all over for it with no luck, and I really want to read it again! If anyone can find it and link it to me, you'd make a bug so very happy this day!

If y'all aren't aware there is this wonderful little podcast called "Fuzzy Notes" hosted by the ever-awesome Potoroo, where he shares furry music from across the interwebs to tickle our happy little eardrums with. As it turns out, a song I made has been featured on the latest episode! Moreover, it's a song I've not even released yet! For the time being, this is the only way you'll be able to hear it, it is! That's pretty cool, right?

A friend's family has found themselves under difficult times. This gentleman's father needs a new heart, but alas, as hearts are not exactly cheap, he requires funds. Status Final: I Am Back!
Posted 11 years agoHello frineds and flelows and one and all! I am here to announce my official return to the cyberworld and its juicy insides. I have this nice new computer that should last me a good long while, so unless I drop it or get hit by a meteor, y'all shouldn't worry about me suddenly disappearing again. Status Again: Here's The Sitch'
Posted 11 years agoAlright, so laptop is now dead. Like, completely, utterly, not working no more. This means that I can't make tunes anymore, or go on Skype, or most of that fun on-the-ball stuff for the time being. That's the bad news. The good news is that this doesn't mean I'm gone completely! The old man is allowing me to use his computer for now, which means that I'll still be present in this lovely community, just not as consistently as I have been in the past. This machine is rather limited, so I doubt I'll be attending many streams or listening to entire albums, but do know that I'll be keeping a watchful eye on all you beautiful creatures' creations or otherwise, and I will get to them when I can. But for now, it's slow-time.

My laptop is working again, though it is in quite a state. The screen is perilously perched on the base with little support, and the base itself is missing a lot of its casing. I have the poor girl perched miserably on a desk-top, as she is no longer in any state to move without running the risk of falling apart. She's an old girl she is, and I, being the cruel practitioner of using things up for as long as possible, am keeping her through as much life-support as I can muster before the day she inevitably bricks. That being said, I'm not sure how long I'll be back, but I can say that for now, I am back. For now.
I hope I did not worry you too much with my last journal. I realize it was quite jarring, but using the internet app on an Xbox 360 isn't exactly the most comfortable way to type, but still I do apologize. My laptop has seen better days, but I'm quite fine myself, yes. Regardless, thank you all muchly for your support! Free home-made Valentine's Day marshmallow-filled cookies to all those who read this far!

Posted 11 years agoCalling it dark ambient doesn't seem like enough to describe it. I haven't heard much of anything like it, imagine dark ambient made with a hip-hop mindset that still manages to be incredibly potent in delivering its eeriness. Due to the abominably cold Quaybeckian weather, I seem to have found myself with a case of sniffles and chockings. The people on the bus were all chocking and it was very difficult to avoid a piece of that chocking-action, so I joined the club and now I'm a world-class chocker myself. I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm sick. I don't know why I felt the need to make this journal, but there you have it. *Honk*

My Entry To That Fursona Questionaire Meme Floating Around.
Posted 11 years agoGot the skeleton from Gany. Figured I'd try it since I don't have much of anything regarding my fursona outside my head-space at the moment. I ended up getting way into it. Without furder adjoo...
What made you choose the species of your main fursona?
I chose a jumping spider because I happen to really like bugs, and because I relate myself symbolically to spiders in general. There's something I find adorable about them in their littleness, and how misunderstood they are in to what others see as flat-out ugliness, and are judged and stomped without a second thought. A few years ago, I had a life-changing moment with one such critter. I was very low at the time, lying in my bed hopelessly, feeling sorry for myself, when I notice a little speck on the window-sill moving ever so slightly. Focusing, I see it's a little jumping spider, (a Phiddipus Audax, which is what ol' Sivvy is based on) staring directly at me, unmoving. In that moment, I sit up, staring at it, and then suddenly, everything clicks. From that moment, as silly as it was, I feel like I became a better person. I stopped feeling sorry for myself and began to solve my problems. Where I used to let things bring me down, I now scoff at and look forward with nothing but optimism. I've been nothing but smiles since that moment, and I feel like I owe it to that bug. That's why I chose a jumping spider.
Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?
It's pretty much me, with some extra personality traits I cooked up. He's a little snip who tries to uphold an illusion of high-class, despite being a bit of a miscreant. He's a nice guy though, really. He's fascinated with the world and the people in it, and he loves to learn.

Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
He's not as much of a horn-ball as I am.
Does your fursona look like you at all?
He's thin and very short, I'm thin and average height. Besides that, no. He has more arachnid features than I do, as well as more features period.

Do you have more then one main fursona?
Two, actually. Both live exclusively in my noggin'. I don't let them out much. Probably should.

Sort of. I'm still in the process of putting it together. And no, not really.

Nope. Hopefully we'll find out.

Well, he's a spider. I've only seen two other spider 'sonas thus far. Specifically, I'm the only jumping spider I've seen. Plus, Sivvy's fluffier than the average bug.

I don't think so, I really like Sivvy. As long as I like myself, I'll probably continue to be him.
