Taking a break from chat services for a bit!

Shouldn't be too long, but I want to get more into my creative things as I've been a little bit too chatty for my own good lately and have been missing out on time for that! Favorite video game?
It's a strange cross between Dark Cloud 2, and Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. Both those games hold an incredibly special place in my heart for how much I loved them as a child. Dark Cloud 2 had such a perfect balance of having a lot of things to do but never feeling overwhelmed by those things. It all so seamlessly fit together right away, and in a way I just can't seem to ever feel in newer games of this kind. There was so much stuff to DO in this game, and every single one of those things was so wonderfully incorporated and also super well-designed, too!
Metal Arms is a game that I praise because it's a game that just feels so good to play. It's in my opinion one of, if not the best and most finely tuned third-person shooter I've played. There were so many ways to advance throughout this game's many inredibly fun levels, and goodness gracious it has some really surprisingly good sound design, as well! Plus the multiplayer's really great and the game's collectibles can be incredibly well-hidden, and even when I was finished everything I still played it a whole bunch to speedrun through its levels, heeeee! I love that game, ahhh <3

Well, since I mentioned both those games up there, I should mention Marvel vs. Capcom 3 here. That game's a game that I got super competitive for real, where I'd go to tournaments and even win a few locals! A lot of people give that game flack for being silly in how the meta works, and even I do, to be honest, but there's definitely something to be said by just how much excitement and giddiness that game generates in people, and just how gosh darn FUN it is, ahhh! <3
Least favorite video game character?
Sonic. Never liked him much at all. ^^w^^;;
Favorite genre(s)?
Fighting games and/or adventure games! I like a lot of genres, but those are the ones I like the most. <3

Firebrand. The Red Arremer. The Red Blaze of the Demon Village. The hottest video game character of all time, ahhhh. Gosh, my attraction to him goes back a really long way, heheh. He's just so awesome. X////3

Quite literally my earliest memory is being carried into the living room to my parents and the neighbors all playing Parappa the Rapper. The first game I remember physically playing though, is Tomb Raider. I remember I was doing certain things in that game that my parents couldn't do, they would just pass the controler to me whenever they were stuck somewhere. I was 3 years old! XD

3 years, quite literally as long as I can remember!
Hardest video game you’ve played?
Hmm... I guess... Final Fantasy X-2! A weird one, I know, but goodness gracious, I never play RPG games and I liked the demo of that one, but once you're in the later levels and the game kind of expects you to know what you're doing, it just got really hard and stressful to the point that I never beat it! Those games baffle me so much, ahhh X3

LSD: Dream Emulator! I pride myself on being rather fearless when it comes to video games, but this game that makes other people laugh at the sheer weirdness of it, terrifies me to no end. Ugh. I love it.

Gosh! Um... I guess winning my first tournament! It was only my third time going to that local and everyone was congratulating me and stuff, ahhh! I should really go back to those, heheh! ^^////^^

I would more if games actually still included them! Gosh, they've gotten so rare these days, it's crummy. At least, since I'm a tester, we usually get debug commands, so that's pretty fun. X3

Competitive first, single player second! I love both though~

I'd really love to see a Firebrand cosplay! But otherwise, I don't think I would want to myself!

Hardest boss fight you’ve been in?
Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 1! It took a whole lot of tries, but at like 8 or 9 years old, I was really happy to beat him! I was even given a demo copy of Robot Alchemic Drive when the clerk overheard me talking about it, and after giving some proof, he gave me that demo thing! It was a rad little demo that I played a whole lot of, pretty much fueled my enjoyment of macro/micro things! ^^u^^
Video game you wish you could burn from your memory?
Sonic Revenge or whatever it's called, the one with the werewolf. I was given it for a Christmas present by an auntie who, bless her, was trying her best, but goodness gracious, that game was kind of not very good at all, ahhhh ^^w^^;;

Hmm... This is going to take me a while...
Tekken I suppose! It was the first game that got me into fighting games, and of all the game series I've played, is the only one where I've owned every single rendition! So I guess Tekken! ^^u^^

I hate tutorials!! Get them away, lemme learn how to play and discover the game by myself! Gosh, there's this trend of hand-holding that's plagued modern releases and in some cases my experience has actually been ruined by tutorials and hints I couldn't turn off, ack!

Why do you game?
Because it's part of my life! I owe a lot of what makes me who I am to video games, and a lot of my skills and things are actually pretty based off just staying at home and playing them all day, heheh! I love the communities within them, and the stories they can tell, and the stories you can tell to your friends about the video game, and just how it's always something I can count on to do! I just love gaming too much to ever stop! ^^u^^

Posted 10 years agoHello! As some of you may have noticed, I've been pretty quiet lately. Figured I'd quickly shed some light as to why, since I feel pretty bad for leaving y'all in the dark.
First and foremost, I am having a lot of trouble finding work, and that's been bringing me down a whole lot. Not much more to say about that besides that, really!
Second, I've been feeling very anxious about a whole bunch of stuff lately, and it's left me sort of fearful to talk to anyone other than those closest to me. This, as a result, also makes me feel guilty for basically ignoring very good friends and people I really genuinely like and would love to get to know better. To you, I ask that you please bear with me, I'll get out of this funk soon.
Third, my uncle recently passed away and the way we got the news was pretty disgusting, so there's been an air of unease in the place since then. Lots of bad blood between relatives already and that just made it worse, so that's just another thing to deal with.
So yeah, sorry about my inactivity. I've also got some stuff to upload, so maybe down the line you'll see some things from me, but yeah, I dunno, I'll make another journal once I'm out of these bof-times. Stay wonderful, sweet friends!

This is some incredibly high quality stuff for someone with as little watchers as they have. Good lord, their work is fantastic! If you enjoy pictures of cute characters and wonderful, creatively produced works of such characters in vibrantly produced backgrounds, then you definitely don't want to miss out on this person. I definitely recommend this artist!

Though I don't have any plans to ever stray from my spideryness, this is always a fun little thing to think about!
1.) If your fursona had to be a primate, it'd be: Ruffed Lemur! Lemurs are so great, ahhhh
2.) If your fursona had to be a feline, it'd be: Calico cat!
3.) If your fursona had to be a canine, it'd be: Border collie!
4.) If your fursona had to be a hoofed animal, it'd be: Goat! I've got a real soft spot for goats with their little goatees. <3
5.) If your fursona had to be a rodent, it'd be: Rat, definitely! Rats are super cool.
6.) If your fursona had to be reptile, it'd be: Either a gecko or an iguana! Geckos have that tongue though, so that makes it a bit tough. Probably gecko!

Spidery Updates!

Bunch of cool things happened pretty recently that I figured I should notify y'all about, considering I haven't actually done anything like that in a while. First of all, and the most biggest new things:
I am done with school! Hurrah!
This means a bunch of things, mainly being that I've got a whooole lot of free time on my hands from now until I find some full-time work, and that in the next year or so I'm going to start planning towards getting my own place. During that though, I plan to go to this specific sound design school so I can start putting my foot more in the door of various studios and things so I can work towards doing my dream job of doing sound design for movies and/or games and stuff! That'll hopefully happen around September! Hopefully in the Summer, I'll even get to travel to the States to see a certain
too! This little bug's life is going places, heeeee!
Also! In May, I will be going to What The Fur! A little furry con happening about ten minutes away from my home in Montreal! This will be my first convention ever, so to say I'm pretty excited would be an understatement. I am so freaking PUMPED to see some pallies there, gosh! Expect one of those little con memes once that month rolls around!
In the immediate future though, I don't have a laptop for the time being! I'm getting it fixed and it can take from a day to like a week, so if you're wondering where I've been on the old Skypey machines and those sorts of things, that's pretty much why! It's been a long time coming to actually get this thing fixed, the main reason I waited so long was precisely because I didn't want to spend time apart from y'all! Buuut, I bit the bullet and now I'm getting it fixed before the silly thing gets even worse. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I'll be back soon!
Finally, thank you to all of you watcher friends, both old and new! You have no idea how honored you make this humble bug with all the nice words and favorites, and just following me along in my silly musical and spidery shenanigans - it really warms my heart to know that y'all care enough to keep an eye on me. There'll be more tunes and arts on the way in the coming months, so I hope you can look forward to that! I never thought I'd have even a fraction of the attention I'm getting now, so from the bottom of a creepy crawly arachnid heart, I thank you all, ahhhh <3

1. How did you get your name? Your real name, not your sona!
Everyone thought I was going to be a lady, actually! The name that was floating around for a long time was "Sarah", but then like a bit before my birth it was like "Oh wait your kid's a dude" and then "Max" was looking like the name I was going to have, but then it was "Sam". I like Sam! Hello! I am Sam! :D
2. What is your earliest memory?
Being carried into the living room where parents and neighbors were playing Parappa the Rapper. Not much has changed since then. X3
3. Is there anything you were very afraid of as a small child that doesn't scare you anymore?
This will be a surprise. Bugs! Though I kicked that fear by the time I was 8, but before then they used to really freak me out!
4. What is your worst childhood memory?
There was some stuff, but nothing worth bringing up really!
5. What is your happiest childhood memory?
Pretty much anytime I got to hang out with this dude who was my bestest buddy at the time! Ahh <3
6. What were you/are you good at in school?
English and Music class! I played the trombone!

Definitely math, no question. I don't know how numbers work. X3

Yeah, bunch of things. I was not a very good student.

Funnily enough, I never actually cheated in anything until this one class came along in College where it was basically impossible not to cheat. My teacher would give us these worksheets one day and that was the busy work for the class, then he would literally give us that same worksheet the next class as the test, with only the orders of the answers being changed. Funnily enough, that teacher, as strange as his teaching methods were, was the one who taught me the principle I live by: "Don't be cynical!" He is a very strange, but very respectable man. <3
10. Did fire drills startle the bejabahousendadun out of you in school, or was that just me?
Nope! Well, there was one that really alarmed me in elementary school, when there was an actual fire. At that point they actually had a loud siren in addition to that strange bell thing, it was freaky!
11. What was your first car, motorcycle, or scooter?
I technically own a Rambler! I have never driven it, in fact I don't even think it's driveable! XD
12. What was your first romantic kiss like?
I've never done it! Really excited to though! :3333

Nope! Even now that I can, I haven't! Sex though, that I am definitely looking forward to. <3

Posted 10 years agoGoodness gracious, I must say, 2014 was quite a wonderful year for me. I met some really cool people this year that I'm incredibly honored to know, I made a visual album that y'all will be seeing soon enough, and in addition to that, I think my music has hit a really good spot!
Right in this last month though, I'm incredibly blessed. What better way to top off this great year than to start what's looking like an incredibly fruitful and beautiful relationship with my beloved I love you so very muchly, you wonderful, beautiful scalybutt! You bring so much joy in my life and help me with so many things, I'm just so very thankful for you, and if I can meet you in person at some point this year, then I'll be the happiest spider in the world. <3
