So I need to thank the _1500_ of you all that have decided to watch my weird corner of the internets. I'm just a guy who likes art, but I'm glad people enjoy some of the things I've gotten and the characters I've come up with.

As pimpage, Watcher #1500 is  TheMerryWolf , so go watch them for some cute and centaur-y stuff. ;P

And for another update, some good news on the job front, I have an interview scheduled with one of my potential applications coming this week, so we'll see how that goes! Looking forward to this one, since it could open up for some MAJOR promotions in the future. ;D

Well, that was a rush! MAGFest came and went, and it was an amazing chill party! I got to enjoy the cold weather (which never happens in Florida) and SNOOOOOOOWWWW! It was only a few inches, but it means a lot to me.

Anywho! I met up with  corvuspointer and  zigzagziggy at Corv's booth, and we had a really fun conversation about our characters and such, and thanked Corv for all the work he's done for us. Sadly,  sexmuffin wasn't there, and Corv was saddened by that, so send him some good vibes. ;)

The weekend itself was really relaxed and fun, meeting all the Internet content creators and gaming like mad. And since I had extra time after the con on Sunday, I managed to hit the Native American museum in DC. That place is such a wonder and beautiful. I'd like to visit again when I have more time on my hands. :P

With the vacation out of the way, now it's time to focus on more important things. First and foremost, getting a new job. As a serious resolution, I am cancelling _ALL_ conventions off my list until I land something. I need the time to train and search until I either get a second job to go with my restaurant, or a fulltime job entirely. I'm at the point in my life where I need something more substantial in my income, and both options are viable.

Secondly, I need to trim back commissions quite a bit. 2 things I need to save for are new computer parts and a new place in the summer. I'll keep the works I have in place at the moment, but I need to be a little more cautious with my spending here. You guys are amazing, but priorities need to come first now. ^^;

Mine's been quite busy, as my restaurant is at it's busiest this time of year. I was grateful they were closed Xmas day. x.x

Well, that was fun... ish. ^^;

Otakon has come and gone, and while I did indeed have fun, my group and I came to a couple of conclusions about our experiences.

I usually have gone to this con with a gaming centered group more than anime, but the 2 media intertwine more often than not, so it was all in fun. These folks are always a hoot to be with, but the con was celebrating 20 years of being around.

It's grown a lot in that time, with attendance this year almost reaching... 30-35,000-ish guests. That's actually too much when you think about it. I spent more time in the company of my friends and browsing the dealers room/artist's alley more than the con's events. I only managed to get into 3 events all weekend. (For comparison, I believe AC this year was about 8000 people? Correct me if I'm wrong.)

So our thoughts were that while we did enjoy the experience, it may be time to move our group meetup to another con. MAGFest is looking the most likely, but who knows. It will have to be soon though, since they will be moving Otakon to DC by 2017, and that won't work for anyone.

In other news, yes, I gave in and went back to Warcraft. Damn you, Bliz and your world building! What's that? I'm crazy to pay for it? No, I'm currently not. I had been sitting on a bunch of Gamestop points, so I redeemed them for cards after feeling an itch to come back. So at least I'm not really spending money.

But I mentioned world building. I've discovered that that is one of the main aspects as to why I keep returning. I love Azeroth and it's lore. I love the characters, the aesthetics, these things work for me. It's extremely rare for me to enjoy an MMO like this, but I'll be damned if Bliz hasn't hit all the right notes with me.

Think I'm crazy? Watch the new raid trailer and this BEAUTIFUL Pandaren Lore series and then try telling me they don't know what they're doing. :P

Otherwise, back to the grind for me. The cons and car insurance coming up are kinda leaving me dry, so the works you may see may be a bit more sporadic. I'll be hitting up the job searches for something more reliable than my restaurant (and not door to door sales -.-; ).

I want to thank everyone who has come on by and given me a watch recently or fav'd my things. It means a lot that you find something to enjoy in my neck of the woods, but do make sure to give the artists some love too.

MetroCon was a blast, the weekend just flew by! I'll be getting ready to head to Otakon soon enough, so hopefully I'll be on the lookout for some folks!

In the meantime, I will be away for some conventions coming up, namely MetroCon in Tampa this coming weekend (I know Megaplex is the same time, but I volunteer for this one every year), and Otakon 2 weeks from then. I'm happy I'm getting this time away, though. I need it. x.x

Plans? My dad is coming up for a visit, and I work a convention the following week, but nothing too big.

I finally have something to look forward to and put a lot of my energy into. I'm with a marketing firm right now, working towards a management position.

I was waiting tables before this.

Now, I have the potential to earn 50-80k by the end of the year.

Sure, it's fulltime and long days... but the reward of an actual career?
