I honestly don't have much of one. I mean, legally, "Mistress Absol" is my name, but it's more of a description. I like it that way.

Posted 11 years agoI can't promise I'll be good or fast at it. But if you want me to try writing a story of some sort for you, go ahead and note me. Style, you can see in my gallery. Length, that depends on your idea and how much I can run with it.
My characters are open for use if it's about them getting into a situation and them reacting as they would. Your characters, if it's something long, I'd need to get to know them. Throwaway, one-off characters can be made -- will up the cost a tad ;3
Prices are entirely negotiable, but should be dirt cheap really. I'm looking to get started here, not scare people off. Maybe $5 for something moderate? We'll talk over ideas. Art trades are likely accepted. Free requests... If I get nothing else and I'm bored, we'll talk x3

Posted 12 years agoI stole this from... someone. I forget who. Anyway, I'm doing it three times over. The instances should be color coded, and the legend is the first answer.
Pick one of your characters. Give this character's name, age, species and a single-sentence description.
Mishai Ameteratsu Takahashi Sato Hama Kahae. Age 588. Ninetales. She's pretty old, but still looks to be in her prime, and is very mature and motherly. (Her names are all middle names, aside from her given Mishai. She currently, as an unbound Pokemon, needs no last name.)
Kate (no other name(yet)). Age 25. Blaziken. She's a big buff BLaziken who really does enjoy working out and bodybuilding.
Myre Moonlet. 25 (<1). Crux. Myre is a creature who was born of corruption of Aescula, and has come to terms with it, and all the weirdness that comes with being what she is.

What trait about your character is the most like you?
Her desire to care for others and to generally be a force of good in the world. I also like to think my wisdom. (not to be confused with common sense I ain't got a scrap of that)
Definitely her competitiveness.
She likes the night, and can be cool with the weirdest things.

Her age and mental clarity, for sure.
She's not a tenth as lazy as I am XD

She's calm and at peace with the world. She's been through much more than any human ever could. All that is lovely.

I would like to think I'd get along well, but she'd probably also find me tiresome.
I would probably not get on well with her. Though I wouldn't mind the workout partner.

She does enjoy a good drink and has been known to occasionally overindulge.
Can work too hard, and overexert herself. Also pride.
Her tongue gets a bit naughty.

Very little. She travels very light and doesn't carry anything unnecessary.

Deliberately indulge in drugs more harmful than alcohol.
Pass up an opportunity for a sparring match.

And lastly, if you had to write an ending for your character and never use them again, what would the ending be like? Happily ever after? Blaze of glory? Fate catching up to them?

Posted 12 years agoI don't know who all ready my journals, but for those who don't know, I make programs. I love making programs. I've made one which is a released game, and one which is still being built. I've got utilities for math, for roleplay, for Minecraft, for Magic: The Gathering, for storywriting even.
So here's the idea. I'll make programs for some money in return. Currently I work in C#, but this would be a reason for me to learn to work towards C++. Payment, of course, will not be required until I know I can get it working on your system. Source code will also be sent, well commented so you can be sure it's not going to steal your info or anything like that.
I should also note that I'm not good at graphics. If you want your program to have images, please be willing to get those images through another source.
So is this a good idea? Terrible? (honestly if I even get one commission I'll consider it worth this journal)

I believe there are forces behind all things that cannot be known, even through religion.
I believe that despite these, scientific progress can solve all our current problems.

It's because we've lost internet at home, I don't know where a library is really, and we simply can't afford to go to a coffee shop often. I'm trying, but... Mostly hoping for a free wifi to appear. Naturally, if anyone wants to donate... well, then get my phone number somehow and text me about it >.> Several people have it, but I'm not broadcasting it on a journal.

Posted 14 years agoCooking a turkey is like cooking a chicken. You just have to do it longer and with basting, which you can just do with butter and cheesecloth. Who knew? I always though they'd be really tough to get right...

Posted 14 years agoSeriously. If you have some sort of heart disorder or are allergic to adrenaline or something, DON'T play Amnesia: The Dark Descent. If you have superhuman fear defense and need something to actually scare you, play it.
Fuck that game is scary.
Usually I can handle a reasonable level of scary. Not that much. I managed what I figure from the vague hints given by
iaru during the game (Only reason Skype is in any way awesome, it's still on my stupid list) is 1/3-1/2 of the game through, and I was done. FUCKING FREAKISH. Seriously, I looked at this as a fear-cooldown:

Mine as for non-legendaries are tied 5 ways:
Blaziken, for awesome hawtness.
Haunter, for the epic floating armless hands.
Mightyena, because it's a hyena and so am I.
Pidgeot, for those awesome head feather things
Scyther, cause he has BLADES FOR HANDS.
As for Legendaries...
Mew. Always Mew. Can't beat a classic Legendary that wasn't even known to be in the code on release! (Shigeki Morimoto snuck it in the code like a week before it went to manufacture!)

This is NOT something recommended for those unfamiliar with meditation, or unskilled in broad thought.
I thought on all things being a single infinity, being one, and started to sense the area around me, then my whole city, the country, the entire earth, all at once. I couldn't pick out details of course, due to my mere mortal brain, but this is a powerful meditation, and one I dare not try often. My second attempt (on the same walk) showed a sudden bright light out in space. Near the sun, just to the east of it in fact. After a moment of sensing that, and holding off, I noticed it again, unbidden. Whatever or whoever I contacted far out there pinged BACK. I kid you not.
I have always believed in the existence of extraterrestrial life, and this has confirmed it to me.
As one last thing, I say again: This is an extremely powerful meditation. I DO NOT recommend trying it without careful control and magical protections in place, as well as EXTREME passiveness within it. I don't want anyone causing Armageddon on accident here. Infinity is LITERALLY the most powerful subject one can touch on.

If you were sent to the future where food isn't often hand-prepared, what would you prefer, and why?
A) Food prepared mostly classically, but by machines designed to do so
or
B) Food replicated by precise molecular structure, created from matter-transfer by command?
Basically, in Star Trek terms, food processors like in TOS, or food replicators like TNG onward?
