Hi. My name is Fr!tZ. I am a pop punk artist known as Far Below Perfect fromHawthorne California and for the past 4 years I've been working on getting my music career up and running. Two years ago i started playing shows in my area and months after that at fur cons. This year [2025] I have played more shows outside of my home city and state than I have in it. Ok damn, I suck at this keeping a journal stuff..I mean seriously. I started a gift journal for a long time friend when I want in college and its been 5 years.....STILL NOT FINISHED...

Ok so a lot has happen since being on tour. Biggest thing was I got fired from Carbonine. Yes, I got fired. I'm still pretty livid about it. I won't tell details here because if anyone is going to do something about those guys its going to be me. BUT, if someone wants to know, I have nothing against telling you in a private location. I lost a lot this year just because of who I am and what I stand for but thats life and all I can do it make them regret all that they did to me. Hell have no fiery like a regretted Wolf.

I've been recovering mostly from a lot of emotional stuff that has happened but I'm finally feeling like I'm on the mend. I've picked up a new project with an old friend of mine. As much as I didn't want to start ALL THE WAY OVER, it might be for the best. I've learned a lot in the past two bands and even this one will be a learning experience.

Name of the band is Defend You. I've made it back to my roots of Pop Punk and I'm having a blast with it. Hell got my first music video and bad ass photo-shoot done with in the first two months of starting. Full steam ahead with this one guys, I've got some revenge to put into motion and I'm attempting to do it in the manner that makes me the bigger person.

Lastly, I got a new laptop and I can finally get back to composing. Graduating college and play Jazz for 2 years has defiantly got me curious about what the hell I can really right now. I'm excited to get 2016 over and move on to 2017. Fire hasn't been burning this bright in a long time and I plan to keep tossing gasoline on the blaze from a safe distance.

So I am 100% back in the music game. I know 3 years and finally I'm back. Well the long and short of it is, when VG split up, I did try to salvage what was left and start a new but the guys had other plans with life and I was left to do my own thing. Now Far Below Perfect is not dead or over in any shape. I just put it back on the shelf and hope I can get back to it later. A big issue with getting back to music for me was the timing. I was in school in a demanding music program mostly because I also have a job that can be hellish at times. My biggest fear with this was I'd hold a band back. I'm a great bassist and it came from years of practice and training myself (still have a lot to learn) but one thing I couldn't live with was knowing that I held people back because of my life. So for 2 years,i wrote little riffs here and there and a couple of lines for songs but didn't put myself into as much as I wanted or could. I did take a sit in gig once and of course I've been playing for school but it's not the same as playing for yourself. On my last semester of college and I wasn't too sure as to what I was going to do in December. I did want a band and a new job before school ended but once again timing. Then one day I just said to hell with all of this and went hunting for a band. Found Carbonine and at the same time applied to a much higher paying job and say back to see who would answer first. As hard as that was for me to do, I had to come up with something. Finally I got an email from Ian and after a month of courting and talking and seeing them play twice, I got my audition (which felt more like a job interview) and floored them with my passion, pleasure, and overall excitement for playing. The next day with out any second thought they let me into the band. Now I'm just bideing my time. December is the end of the semester and start towards a new chapter. There are a lot of things in the mix. Studio, already got to meet Eddie Trunk (metal heads rejoice!) and the biggest thing, a tour...maybe 2 at he beginning of next year. So yeah I'm praying for December and to see what next year brings.

Its been quite some time since I've actually written one of these things and has a lot happened between now and then. On the plus side, I've got one more semester of school until I can finally graduate and get back to what I miss doing. I'm not kidding, there are night where I can't sleep because I'm thinking about how much I wish I had a permanent music project going on but only time will let me do that. I swear my last few weeks of school its three steps.

1. Find a new job
2. Put in my two weeks as soon as a job is found
3. If no musical project has been found, Just go and do my own.

Finally have a place where I can get some recording done with a buddy of mine so I'll be putting demos and such things up through out the summer. I've been writing like a mad man little riffs here and there but its time to finally string them all together!

On an awesome news update...I've officially become a working musician. Last March I played at a cocktail party and made some cash (not enough to go retire on but enough to keep the stomach fed for a week) and with all the mess that happened there, they have called a buddy and I back for more. Sounds good to me. One hell of a party. Its a pretty good feeling knowing that no one is paying full attention to your playing yet when you do one things like get quieter, or throw a few breaks into the music everyone starts to pay attention subconsciously.

Just can't wait to get back into the music again. To all those who read this...Thank alot for still being here. I promise fun and exciting things soon.

Hey all So I've got some good news.

I've officially started a hunt for a guitarist for the band. Adam said that I shouldn't sac my bass lines to mellow out our sound. He even compared me to Les Claypool...<3

So I'll be looking for one.

Podcast is really picking up. The numbers of downloads increases with episodes and we are making alot of new friends with every interview. So I'm excited about that. Not to mention we're on itunes now!

Well TO be honest, I've everywhere. Any time i get to just sit on my ass there was some ZZZ's followed afterwards. Followed by me frantically jumping to my feet and rushing off somewhere. But theres a long list of project I'm actually working on and I'll list them off in any order

1. Far Below Perfect - Yup I got my band up and moving. Slowly. I mean I'm fronting it and My writing has slowed since my initial 5 songs in concept and 1 demo. (At this rate I have an ep!) I've got me a drummer which is lovely. I can finally hear my songs move in places and I can't wait to have them full speed but baby steps for now. Still looking for a guitarist (maybe) but I think I'd live with a two piece if I can get the sound to now be a punch in the ear. NOt to mention work on the singing.

2. D.I.M. Podcast - Oddly enough I've been roped into doing a podcast with the former singer of my band. its actually pretty fun. Lots of chaos and random joke about life and such is a part of it but the main reason for the podcast is to talk to and talk about aritst of all walks of life that can say I D.I.M.(Do. It. Myself) Up to episode 4 (or its in the making) and we try to keep it weekly.

3. Let's play! - I'm currently failing at crash 2 with my buddy Metal. Its his youtube channel and one day we got talking about doing a lets play and well it happened. From there I and another friend have started our own channel but with this hellish schedule theres no time to actually get it up just yet so once school ends, we are all set to get things down!

Well I'm tired of waiting for a new band to pick me up or even just reply to a message I sent them so I did the next best ting. STARTED MY OWN FUCKING BAND! Yeah, A big bold statement for myself even more so because I've put myself as the lead vocalist. Today, my birthday cause I'm 24 now, I wanted to have at least something up for myself to say "Look fucker....you're going to be in a band." And well I did it. Its not all polished but I am happy with my guitar work. It was late at night and I had forgotten how my melody went from earlier. This doesn't mean I'll stop writting or anything...Nope just one step forward on this long ass path to getting gigging again. And speaking of gigs....I'll be play in September no matter what. Whether its me alone with a backing track or a full band.

So here it is...2/3/2014 and I've still got no projects lined up. I mean yeah I'm playing music 24/7, but thats for school. In the end it will help me but I've got nothing. Its kinda driving my crazy to be honest. There always room to improve my craft. Infact I now am required by school to log in 96 hours of practice time under their watch. Even learning how fully read music for bass which is interesting in itself. But its not like I want to. I'm in a Jazz program where the head of the whole operation is a total tool. I had to go to the audition and got in but I can't sight read. In the first class I kinda got called out on it. Literally stared me in the eye and said "Some of you need to really work on your reading. *pauses*" and continued on. I get it. Reading helps in the world but its not to make all musician. If you don't read you fail at music....NOT TRUE. 3 years of sitting in a tiny 10x 10 practice room helped me get the basics of playing. Of course not the "proper" way but I could play through a song with little mistakes. Now I'm back at square one with a private tutor. Nice guy, doesn't judge and helps alot.

I've been writing here and there but I'm not really getting anywhere. I've been too busy with work or school and its usually to sleep to start the next day bright and early. I might just be ranting on but I am optimistic. This will all pay off in the end but it all leads up to this question...

Hung out with the singer of my old band. We never had issues with each other and we still keep in touch often. After all the games and hang out was over he asked me a very interesting question.

"Would you be willing to leave california?"

Well yes and no. This is my home. A lot of places have been my home but this...I feel at home now. Yet he did bring up a good point. The music scene down in LA.....SUCKS...Horribly. Tons of venues rip you off and the scene is suppose to be good up there. Granted I'm still in school but this has really got me thinking. Can I really make it as a transplant? This isn't something to happen in a few hours because money is a BIG issue, but can I really do it?

To be Announced for sure but this question...really screwing me up tonight. Definitely something that isn't just going to just fly away. I'll be thinking about it all year...

Last night I typed up my letter of resignation and got woken up by a lot of questions..Could have sworn I said "This isn't a discussion." Long story short, the band got just stopped. No one talked, No one got together to hang out. Worst of all...NO PRACTICE means rusty musicians. NO PRACTICE AND A SHOW means...A really shitty show. And thats that. We took a show..It was horrible (I had fun) and that was in august. It is now November and we practiced three times....maybe four. Hell I'll give it five...Other than that....nothing. Oh right a Photo shoot...But that solved nothing. I'm tired of waiting to get the ball rolling again. We are adults and thats that. I left the band this last night and now I'm looking/moving on to other projects.

Oh and yes I'm fine =D I mourned this band way back in October =3

Good thing I'm not the captain because this shit sucks. Band is just about on its last leg. Can't tell you when the last time I've actually left the rehearsal space with a smile..Hell I couldn't tell you the last time we had practice because its been that long.

Yup...band its at a stand still and I'm getting tired of waiting for it to start rolling again. I didn't want to have to start over but it looks like I'm going to do that.

I'm a musician and an artist if you will. I've got goals, and I've got dreams. I'll be damned if I let any man, woman or child stop me from reaching my goal....

Roommate has finally found my guitar pro is back after being lost in my roommates belongings for a couple of weeks. Finally I can get back to my writing! And maybe actually get some of those unfinished project completed. I can't you all how happy i am about that.

Secondly I'm happy to say the band is finally not being stupid. We had a spout of just....Really frustarting events happen and I can't exactly say I was the happiest member in the band but we played a show not to long ago and we have one coming up very very soon. Oct 9th in long beach. $7 at the door. =) I'm going to look through my project and pick one to work on...

Well Its been quite sometime furs. I'd like to say I miss you all. Really I do. You put up with me willingly =P


So I moved recently and I can finally say I'm settled in. I came home from work late one night and the entire pack was awake just relaxing in the living room. I have a cozy little Den I live in.

I've been gone for a while. A lot has changed. Had to get my laptop rest so I lost my guitar pro 5. Still looking for the CD so no new tunes until that day it is found. Band is currently on a break...Its killing me...very...slowly...I miss it. I miss my guys a lot but life happens and I just have to wait it out. In the mean time I'm finally putting my foot down on my side project of a Chiptune rock band. Well it can't really be a band if its just me but its something I want to do and have wanted to do for quite some time. Nothing like a good 16bit wave to change the mood of the day.

Any one know of any programs I can use. Money isn't an issue. Well it is but its not really. I can use the help on any programs use for 8bit or 16 bit music.

Well I've got other internet business to attend to but I'll be around =) Don't you all worry. I'm not gone forever.

Yeah ok. I've been gone longer than i really wanted to be. My laptop is kinda...broken right now so I really haven't been able to work or put of any pictures that I really want to. Well it was fun. Got to hang out with my buddies from Speak Out! and a few friends from school. And thats where were got off the warped tour train. Bummer but hey I'm not too down about it. We have a slight chance of getting another shot this year but I don't think we will take it. It would take some fancy footwork to jump on a another dates "Semi Final round." Personally I don't think the guys could take another loss. We played a hell of a show. Its not that often I'm sweaty after the first some. And I'm not talking "Oh just wipe my face." NO I FEEL LIKE I JUST STEPPED OUT OF A SHOWER.... yeah...

Its late. I've got class in 6 hours. I think I'm going to call it a night and just mellow out. I mean I'm up now...Why not play some Half Life 2?

So I've had a very stressful past two weeks and I haven't really been in the mood for much or had time to rather to sit and let my thoughts flow. I had to leave my girlfriend, bought a crappy tablet that actually didn't help with music after all, Moving out in a week, BATTLE OF THE BANDS FOR WARPED TOUR IS IN 4 DAYS!! (even with that being an awesome things, its still stressful as hell V__V) I'm finally coming down off of a really really long break from personal writing. The band is doing awesomely with their writing. I've now learned that this personal project is my stress ball so to speak. Yesterday everything had hit me hard to the point where all I did after my business was sit. Just sat. For some reason I had the urge to open up Guitar pro and start writing. For some reason I didn't save what I wrote but I felt better. It felt good. So now I know where my stress ball is. I'll just need to visit it more often than not.

Also with Guitar pro I had taken a much needed microscope to my first completed work of musics He Who Laugh Last... and made some fixes. Now I can see that I'm completely happy with what I've done. EQ EQ EQ EQ...That's the hardest part for me lol. I'll try to get writing a bunch over the summer. Hell maybe even some Covers =) I've had so many ideas for those I need to do before they all leave me D=

Well I belive that I'm still alive for the most part. I'm pretty worn out and haven't really had time to actually relax and be me. I blame work, school and that band of mine. Hell we have 9 shows this month. (6th, 8th, 12th, 18th, 20th, 23rd, 25th, 28th, 30th!) And theres still more to go.

We lost the battle (whomp whomp) but it was a fun night that ended at a really really crazy bar party. I dare not tell what happened at this party. (send me a note and I'll glady explain!)

As far as all the music projects. They have all been on my mind alot. Just couldn't find the time to sit down and work but once i do. I will finish all those W.I.P (maybe a break from them is what I needed after all)

Offically happy that my band released new shirt designs. I'll put one up once I can afford to buy one lol. Also really excited about the ending of this month. I'll get a week to recover from our "mini tour" (wouldn't call it that mainly because we go back home after every show)

Speaking of the band, I might as well plug it! Next show in on the 23 in Santa Clarita at the VU. I personally have no IDEA where this place is but its a 21 and over place. Note me for more details.

25 on the santa monica pier! A really fun place to go before shows even start. Too bad I'll be at work but who knows, I might get to have some fun before the show actually starts!

Hooray! I celebrated my 23rd birthday two days ago! Did i do something flashy and awesome? NOPE! Too broke for all that stuff lol. I did have a good time hugging people and getting free cake. Can't say how happy I am to finally have finally finished a song. Took a while but it feels good none the less. And it wasn't like I got lost. This time I knew what to do! Yay me So happy so.....hungry...>.> I've been writing since 10:30 this morning and now I'm hungry......-___- FOOD TIME!

I sometime hate when I get musical ideas. Mainly because They happen during times or in places where I have nothing to write my ideas down on. Work is the worse place for this!! Its a battle between doing my job, and remembering a key element in the song so that I can write it down later. It suck and I almost lost the idea but I was home in enough time to transcribe my brew stew onto this laptop! So its time to gush

So the first part of new song is up. I didn't get to writing one of these because I was running late for work ^///^ But yes its up and punk as hell. I would have had more of it (if not all of it) done but I've noticed I get distracted easily when I want to sleep instead of write. Its only been about 4 hours which is a good sign and even so I keep coming up with small riffs for NEW work. Creative flow seems to be online. Now if only not being tired was a thing I could achieve!

In other news! Super pumped about my BANDS FIRST ALBUM! 5 more days until its out and then I have to write my name 50 times for people who pre-ordered it!

But I am oh so tired. School started last week and that means I can't stay up all night writing like I'd love to. Thats the perks of having early classes, it keeps you on a slightly static sleeping schedule. Happy to say that "Telephones For You" Has been shelved for a moment. (thats the curse of resolving your songs before they are done...stopped my creative flow sadly) I've moved on to a more punk sounding song. Kinda got the inspiration from tonight's band practice. Played the hell out of the main line during the break. (Maybe I should have pay attention to the new song we are writing there >.>)I just needed to put it down before I feel asleep and lost it all. So far I'd say that its 25% done (more like 50 if you want to count the rhythm guitar just doing back up stuff that has yet to be written in or if I even add a 2nd guitar line anyway)

"Catch That Train" Is going to be a shorter piece (or thats what it looks like now) than my first. I'm just sketching out my boarders and I know I want a small bass solo in there. Lead guitar is going to be all over the place so I can't wait to actually sit down and start plugging out those parts. OH AND THE DRUMS <3 Only ideas for now but they will be hard pounding and straight forward like any punk show should be.

If it wasn't just bass I'd upload what I have so far but this wolf/bassist knows there need to be just a little more than D D D D D D D D
