Sooo that didn't seem promising, but I have an interview at a much more awesome restaurant called the Mellow Mushroom on Thursday, so fuck those guys.

got an interview at McShits this afternoon. If I get in (CROSSING MY FINGERS, I hate this call center), you guys will be seeing art from me again, and I'll be able to get back to completing and taking commissions. Wondrous.

How many of you majored in art?

I start a full-time job at a call center tomorrow (which I only just found out about; it was extremely short notice), which has and is again going to be hell on someone as introverted and socially retarded as I am, so my energy will be sparse. I will work on my commissions and trades as I have the time, but I'm just letting you all know that it might take a while longer. I apologize, and if you'd prefer a refund, I'll concede ASAP.

Sorry I haven't been very active the past couple of weeks. This month has been very, very tiring.

We spun off the road on the way home... my lady and her truck are fine, thank fuck, but I got my first concussion and bled out for a while. It doesn't feel good, but after two cups of tea avec Jack Daniels, it does feel better.

i feel like myself again. in my late teens, i dyed my hair A LOT, as in it was a different color every month (periodically i'd shave it all off and let it grow back au naturel). i'm glad that i did that, because i now know what looks good on me... but, without getting exceedingly personal, that is a time in my life that was fucked up, and i've had a mental block on it for a while. nevertheless, i was pretty cool as a person, and i'm really happy to be getting in touch with that part of myself again. feeling like i have lost or forgotten facets of my person is not a feeling i enjoy.

this dye is the exact color of blue raspberry candy, and smells like it too. i'm blue flavor!! :D

so livestreaming, as an artist, seems to be a thing... i've never done it before, but it seems to be a good way to connect with fans of your work. (i miss paintchats) i'm perpetually lost in the 90s/early 2000s. i know some of you must stream or be familiar... how's it work? do you think it's worth it?

quickest way to put yourself into an art funk is to not be true to yourself.

move along your own path, not someone else's, and challenge yourself -- don't overwhelm yourself.

so i got some good feedback on the subject. i appreciate it a lot! consensus was that i should indeed keep my cleaner and dirtier work separate. in light of that, i created a different name to post my naughty stuff under:  electricdream. 5AM was a little uninspired... i've been looking for an excuse to use the alias electric dream, and i think it suits the mood.

side note: i think i'm going to stick some of my older work on this account in my scraps, haha.

well, since you guys are my audience, i'll ask you -- should i keep a separate account for adult work, or post it here on my main?

pros

as previously stated, some people have a strong preference toward either clean or adult work, and even with custom viewable rating levels enabled, it's courteous to keep them separate, i suppose.

following from that, people who strongly prefer either clean or adult art get to see what they're looking for and don't have to be discouraged by either too much clean or too much adult art being uploaded to one gallery.

cons

i don't find adult work particularly distasteful, especially to the point of cheese/beefcake and softcore and tasteful interaction and whatnot, which will likely comprise most of what i do. i do have an older adult piece uploaded to this gallery, so personally speaking, i don't mind having it consolidated.

i mentioned that, of course, furaffinity has an option for individuals to choose whether they want to see clean, clean and risque, or clean and risque and explicit art. as well, preview images are an option for a more explicit drawing.

switching accounts is a little annoying!

so we are broke as shit... i decided i'm going to finish my current backlog and take a few adult commissions at a time. i made an alt account for it because
1. not everyone who watches me enjoys adult art, i would imagine, and
2. i am not easily squicked, so there will be fetish work, which further narrows the scope.

anyway, i will be taking clean commissions as well, so keep yer eyes peeled (but not literally. you'll need those to see what i draw for you).

that updated layout they're going to implement... idk, man.
