Just wanted to make a quick journal to say that hope you all are doing well as the world is headed toward the holiday seasons.
It's been hot here in SoCal but suddenly the cold switch was flipped and it has gotten colder (by SoCal standards). All summer I've been like "MAN I can't wait for it to be cold so I can complain it's cold and can't wait for warmer season!" Haven't quite reached there yet, but it's nice throwing more blankets on my bed and get all bundled up. Give it a few weeks and I'll be over it and I'll be ready for warmer weather ha ha.

Currently I'm slowly working on Marelda's updated ref sheet since I rebooted her for her 5th anniversary art. And since her ref sheet is of her looks before that, it was time to finally update it. I've shared the WIPs of the art so far in my discord server, but I can confidently say that in the 2 years since her first ref sheet, I've improved on my anatomy work! Something I'm always trying to improve

So for the past few days I've been letting the idea in my head stir for a bit: maybe I should share some of the nsfw art I have drawn.

Yes I've established myself as a mostly SFW artist, but the past few years I've been dabbling in some NSFW content in order for me to improve and grow as an artist. I have not drawn full on hardcore love making art, mind you. I've only drawn full nude versions of some of the SFW art pieces I've shared here. Because my art process is me drawing the body nude first then add clothing later. So yeah, there may be a slow flow of some of the nude versions of my art incoming into all of your submission inboxes. Hope you look forward to it! ^^

Given the reception I got when I shared the NSFW version of my Shina art, it put this whole idea in my head since a lot of you liked it.

After thinking it over, I decided to change my Picarto username. Hate to have to use up one of the two times you can change your username, but considering that I go by 4 names in various places (-HeXen- on FA, Pojoegg911 for LOTS of things, Ant for short nickname, and Anachronism for Picarto), I got tired of the idea that there are many names to juggle. So I removed Anachronism. It wasn't used for anything but Picarto, so not using it anymore doesn't affect me. Much. Not sure. Either way, it is done and no going back. Same channel, different username! So update bookmarks and stuff if you have it bookmarked!

We have entered a new year! 2022! Happy New Year everyone!

I had a jump in new watchers, and I wanted to say welcome and thanks for following me! Hope you enjoy your stay!

2021 has had some changes but was more or less the same for me. The biggest change for me was experimenting and focusing on improving my anatomy. And from how things are going, I am happy with my progress! Looking forward to creating more art of my characters!

I do struggle with the whole time issue that comes with life. I work full-time and of course, the time I want to do art the most is when I'm at work. Thankfully I like my job in the print industry, so even though I have less time to draw, I'm thankful to have steady work. One of my fears is art burnout and that's something I don't want to happen. Art is enjoyable for me and I wouldn't want it any other way. And thankfully full-time work prevents burnout, but the trade-off is less time to draw.

Also late in 2021 I created a discord server. It's a chill place where I share my WIPS, sketches, and finished pieces.
The bust sketches I've uploaded over the last few weeks/months were done for members and friends who have joined my server!

I've been giving it some thought and wanted to ask. If I were to make a discord server, would anyone be interested? What things do you look for in a server that catches your interest? Leave a comment to let me know! If there's enough interest, I'll start planning out a server where I can also share my art, wips, and maybe some of my lore!

Another year gone by, another year older! So I took the day off work today because I turned 32. So later this morning I plan on streaming some art! I'll put out an art announcement when the stream starts like I always do.

I went ahead and re-exported all my animations that I have made over the years and re-uploaded them as .gif files. So they are now viewable on mobile since Flash is dead and the emulator that FA is using isn't 1:1 perfect. All of my Flash animations that are interactive do play, but the buttons themselves don't work anymore. Either way, hope you enjoy the more mobile-friendly versions!

And as always, they are all located in the animation folder. The new .gif versions have [ANIMATION RE-UP] in the title.

Hey everyone, hope you're doing alright or doing as good as you can be given the start of this year.

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. Been in a bit of an art slump for the past month. I have ideas and have started drawing some, but they haven't gotten anywhere the past several weeks. I pretty much don't have time to draw during the week because of work, and when I do get the time to draw, something always comes up that prevents me to draw. I've always been terrible at multi-tasking hobbies (drawing and casual gaming), but I feel like I can only do one or the other during the day. I almost never do both in the same day. I don't know lol. I do know that I would have more time to do my hobbies if I moved closer to work, which I plan on doing eventually. Because from waking up at 4am for work, then getting home around 4:30-5pm with an early bedtime doesn't give me much time to do anything when I get home. I really want to get back into the swing of things and start/continue working on stuff. I started a couple's pic with Avner and Shazza, I've started a character spread of my goat/cow lady Emma, and I have ideas for 3 new characters: Roland, his younger sister Roxanne, and his human wife Rosabella. Yeah their names all start with R's lol. But damn I just need to find the time/motivation to draw.

So I finished working on my 10th anniversary drawing of Arachnis much earlier than I expected.
Given that it took me like 3 months just do my lineup art, I went straight away to working on
her art. But I got sucked into it and made much more noticeable progress every time I was
working on it. So I finished it....late last month. It's very difficult to hold off on uploading
the completed art because I love how it turned out. Since it's her 10th on December 29th, I
did a soft reboot of her appearance. Damn I really want to post it but I have to wait another month
and a half for it to officially be her 10th anniversary. Why can't it already be the end of December? XD

Answers to questions I've been asked before:

Q: Why don't you take commissions?
A: I work a full-time job in the printing industry and don't even really have much time to do personal art. Art for me is a hobby. I just want to share my art with you is all!

Q: You don't draw pornography? But you follow a lot of NSFW artists.
A: Yes I do follow a lot of NSFW artists! I discovered this fandom by accidentally finding  EvilArt's artwork on Newgrounds back in 2008 (uploaded there without his permission of course). I didn't know of Fur Affinity's existence until 2015. There are very talented NSFW as well as SFW artists that help inspire and help me grow as an artist.

Q: WHY don't you draw pornography?
A: I've established myself as a (mostly) SFW artist. I have done some personal work of fully nude pinups but I don't plan on uploading them....yet. When I do finally upload nsfw art of my characters, I will be very picky of who will be shown nsfw.
A: If you've seen my gallery, I am comfortable with drawing and sharing my NSFW art. I started sharing my NSFW art in February 2022. However I only draw NSFW art for my friends and myself.

Q: What's the deal with Avner and Marelda? Isn't he married to Shazza?
A: Yes Avner is married to Shazza and is loyal to her in the art I've drawn them together in. Story-wise spoiler-y things happen and Avner starts a relationship with Marelda. I've been planning this for years so this isn't something I've come up with recently. Also this isn't a harem thing. I'm not interested in harems. Hover over this for story spoilers: The beginning of this whole story takes place after Shazza's death with the aftermath of Avner's wrongful trial and conviction for the crime (obviously he's innocent). The whole story is told in the past tense with Avner recounting their journey to her father. After the long flashback more things happen and Avner starts a romantic relationship with Marelda many months after Shazza's death. Avner is only with one relationship at a time but I'm considering having him marry Marelda as well since Anthros in this world accept polygamy (Shazza may be dead, but Gaia is still out there somewhere). But this is still undecided. This is why there are hints that there's something between Avner and Marelda. UPDATE:I have made it official that all 3 of them are in a closed polygamy relationship.

Hey how are you all doing? I've been inactive for the most part of two months. All last month I was in the process of moving/upgrading from my studio apartment to a full one bedroom apartment. And because I was busy with moving and with full-time work, all of my art plans were derailed. Which sucks considering that this was the time that I advertised on FA again. Maybe you saw my ad? I know that 100+ of you did because you liked my art enough to follow me! So hello to all my new watchers! Thanks for watching and for faving many of my art uploads! I know I didn't go through each watcher and thank them individually for the watch or faves because I consider that spam and I don't like to spam. But let it be known that I appreciate your company!

As for now, even after the move and settling in, I still haven't done any art (except an ink of a Teutonic Knight), and annoyingly I still am not really in the mood for drawing. I have things I want to draw, like an updated version/reboot of human Shazza, a friend of mine surprise-adopted a dragoness character for me back in December whom I still haven't revealed yet, maybe a second page to this one https://www.furaffinity.net/view/29801277/, and maybe a silly one-page comic about how Avner deals with Shazza and Marelda when they are in their heat season.

I've also been spending time with my friends online by playing For Honor. We have a blast and for some reason, we keep playing the soundtrack to Anarchy Reigns (Max Anarchy for those in Japan and Europe) and it works well. And on a side note, Mr. X in RE2 Remake is now part of my life. Again. For the first time since PS1.

Sorry for the lack of art these past few weeks. Even though technically the back to school season is over with classes starting back in August and early September, my work load hasn't gone down at all. So since the week of 4th of July, I've been working 6 days a week full time and overtime hours trying to work the 10+ hours workload and cram it into 7.5 hours. My 2nd shift co-worker quit because for the life of him, he couldn't make it to work on time even if his life depended on it (seriously, who the hell sells their car before moving to CALIFORNIA of all places???). So everything is on my shoulders for the department. So the wanting to do art on my only day off, which was Sundays, hasn't really been there lately. One day off is not enough to rest after working 40+ hours a week. So I'm running ragged right now and am always tired when I get home. Often, I don't even find the time to play video games (which is only one game and that's Yakuza Kiwami 2 lol). Instead I've just been taking my work stress out on my body by exercising. I've given up on gaining weight because I have to eat nearly 3000 calories a day. Body-wise and budget-wise, that's not happening. I'm not unhealthy, just gifted with a fast metabolism, and because of that I don't gain weight. However exercising just relieves stress and helps me stay healthy and is now part of my routine.

From what I can tell, there's no more overtime at work, so I'll get my full weekends back. However Mondays are going to be a nightmare because the impossible workload waiting for me. Believe me when I say "I don't hate my job", because I don't hate it. It's pretty good money and it's enough for me to live on, and I enjoy with whom I work with (really want to ask a girl out because we're interested in mostly the same stuff, but it's difficult because experiencing constant rejection from other ladies I've shared interests with and only been one relationship in my life). So I'm just taking it day-by-day. Hopefully things will be normal again and the company will hire someone to work 2nd shift and give me a break because I'm worn out right now and really need some time off.

Well the busy parts of my busy season at work are now finally
starting to slow down. So that means I won't be working
six days a week anymore! YAY!
