the wider fandom and community cannot be saved. only the friends and good people you happened to meet on the way.

I don't think it's worth throwing the entire fandom out just because bad actors exist. There are bad actors in every community; that's just how sociopaths operate, melding into larger movements to use them as smokescreens. Just like how it makes no sense to credit an entire community for the great deeds of its outliers, if you damn groups for the actions of the worst in them you're going find yourself surrounded by perceived evil at all times.

I find it difficult to salvage a lot of faith in the wider community when it seems to be the upper echelons of power with these sociopathic tendencies and producing some of the most horrifying content I've ever encountered. I've crossed the point of believing in salvaging the wider community, and now I only give Faith into the individuals that have been the only good source of trust friendship and respect.

I hope others can form these friend groups and communities and begin growing past the Cancer I see in the furry Communities bones, and perhaps one day these Communities can grow past The Original, and become something new and better.

At the very least, the furry community tends to eject these sorts when they're discovered, rather than hide and protect them the way other communities do (wallstreet/hollywood/catholicism)

unfortunately I'm way too exposed to the furry community doing the same as all of those and just like all things it's all so tiring.

make your own communities friend groups and keep them close to you because if this is how the wider community goes, its going to end up in flames and with orbiting Communities ready to build something better over it's Ashes, good people are the ones that need to plant those seeds.

well as a french i don't meet many furry and everytime we meet nobody say "hey im a furry"
the best is in TTRPG nobody will accept you if you are furry and i know why.
