Actually, pretty good so far.
Getting a new laptop and fridge delivered next week.
A new bed too.

Out with the old, in with the new? Always exciting to get new stuff. I got a new chair and hopefully a new keyboard soon.

The bed will be the biggest thing delivered, in more ways than one.
I'll be going from a single bed, to a double.
As to the laptop, well, 10 gigs RAM and 1 terabyte hard drive will make this my gaming computer.

Oh yes! One day I'll get a gaming computer and I'm going to make it suffer so hard.

BTW, from experience, make sure you've got a spare 3-4 hours to assemble it. Those things are hard work! Also, congratulations on the upgrade, and whatever life event granted it so. :)

2021 is being nice to me.

As I mentioned in another journal, we got a new puppy at home. She's a handful but very lovely. She's adapting very quickly which is good.

Work has been really tough lately but we're pushing through. Knowing that we're still in the process of getting out of a pandemic, I still feel very grateful for having a stable job.

The rod in my wife's leg shifted in December, causing her a great deal of pain and difficulty with basic movement, but that's gotten two screws put in it last week. This month's MRI showed my daughter's tumors shrinking for the second month in a row, so...2021 has presented me with a great deal of stress and difficulty, but also victory. It's all the sweeter for the struggles that come before it.

It seems you're all fighters! I'm very sorry about the bad news, but very happy about the recoveries. I wish you all the very best!

Well yeah ended up my windows key was a dud so they gave me a brand new key as a replacement.

yeahhh all that's after being discharged recently from hospital... so far it's been great i guess :D

Well, considering that the entirety of december was.... considerably bad in all regards, having to start my twitter from 0 (and really almost all platforms, as I hadn't uploaded here in ages), it hasn't been all that bad

I got some motivation to work again, i've completed a couple commissions already
my twitter is growing somewhat steadily (though I'm running out of old art to post!)
trying to be a bit more chatty with people
you and tassy are back too

so, all in all, it has been an improvement
not great still, but certainly much better than the latter half of 2020...

Hey, I'm glad it's getting better! I don't know about the details of your situation but I imagine that holiday eve on a year of pandemic is specially stressful, and if you had lingering issues to solve, that makes it much worse.

I've seen your new commissions -- they're turning out great! I hope you keep working on them, I imagine that aside from enjoying your art, at least you're getting some money out of it. Everybody wins!

Well, the pandemic took some friends and family
by turn making me depressed and unable to work, alongside a myriad of things. But yeah, it has been improving slowly but surely.
