Here are some things that may interest you that aren't mentioned on the commission page.
[NOTE: If you decide to commission me I will assume you've read through these, or at least have read through the parts relevant to your request!]
What do I need to commission you?
If you have a specific idea, please provide references!
If you only have a vague idea for your picture, it would be helpful to at least have references for characters you want me to draw. I'm okay if you want me to improvise with the rest.
If you have no references whatsoever I may still take on your commission, just be aware that we may need to go through more edits/preliminary work with your idea.
How do I contact you if I want a commission?
Just send me a private message here on Furaffinity if you want to ask about when I'll be opening commissions/how busy I am with queue at the moment. Otherwise, keep an eye out on my journals - I'll post about opening/closing commissions.
[upd:2022 onward] I may also be using Google forms from now on to seek out commissions, and reaching out to people myself. I'll post about when the comm window opens and closes.
Are there things/themes you will refuse to draw?
I am not faint of heart, however...
1. I won't draw NSFW art of real people in a way that's meant to resemble *them* and not, let's say, a character they're portraying. Even if it's a character, I'm not too keen on drawing NSFW things with real actors - there's a good chance I won't take that kind of commission.
2. I don't draw inflation kinks, characters with disproportionately large genitals (the size of something like 1/3rd of the character's body and more), stuff with dipers, urine and exrements.
2.5 [upd:2022] Going forward, I will not be drawing BDSM-themed pieces. I may still say 'yes' to drawing characters in BDSM-inspired outfits if they aren't actively engaging in... activities. It's simply not something that inspires me and I tend to work especially slowly on these kinds of comms, unfortunately.
3. I won't draw NSFW art with characters that look like they're younger than teens. I understand if your character (who is of age) just happens to look petite, but I won't go further into the dubious age territory. :\
I'm okay with/capable of drawing pretty much anything else that's not mentioned above.
I reserve the right to refuse to work on your commission without explanation. Don't take it as a personal attack if that happens, please! It can really just be a matter of my mood/time limits at the moment.
If you approach me for a NSFW picture of the sexual kind from me you'll be indicating that you're of legal age to do this (in your country), so I will assume such.
What about the payment?
My prices are listed in US dollars, and I work through 1) Boosty.to 2) Patreon tier payments 3) PayPal (not immediately preferable, but possible, if you don't trust anything else!) 4) Hipolink, maybe? Unfortunately, since I live in Russia, I can't offer too many convenient options.
We calculate the price of the commission after the initial discussion of the idea. In case of sketch commissions and chibis, I will request an upfront payment after the discussion and mutual agreement. In case of other commission types (anything coloured, animated, or a refsheet), I will first deliver rough sketches to determine the composition/layout/general idea. After your approval of a sketch that we can work with, I will request a full upfront payment.
Payment plans are negotiable, if the price of your commission goes over 250$ in total.
No refunds, unless we encounter a payment processor mistake where you send the amount twice, for example.
What about time frames, and How often can I expect WiPs?
Feel free to poke me about WiPs yourself any time (within reason, hah), but generally, I send them whenever I make significant progress or have a question about your picture.
Unless you specify it *before* I accept the commission, there is no set time frame for my work!
If it's an important/urgent deadline, like a gift art for someone's birthday, I'm OK with up to 2 weeks time for a sketch comm, 3 weeks time for flat-coloured comm, and up to 1,5-2 months for fullcolour comm, approximately.
There may be times when I work extremely slow due to real life circumstances, but no matter what, I will always, always come back to deliver the final result :]
Do you do traditional comms, and are the drawings shipped?
I haven't had a lot of requests for traditional materials because I don't advertise them much, and don't have many examples of character illustrations, unfortunately. However, I *am* capable of working with some traditional techniques perfectly fine.
I work with pencil, charcoal, ink, watercolour, oil.
The pricing on traditional comms will be somewhat steeper relative to my digital works, I'm still working out the details myself.
I'm open to the idea of mailing out originals to you, with the limitation being the fact that Russia has a number of countries that ceased direct correspondence with it. So if you happen to live in a country that I can't mail directly to, we could find other solutions. I'm open to discussions.
Do you really draw icons/pixel art/stickers/animations?
Yes, but I haven't made separate commission categories/prices for them yet, nor have I had a lot of time to really dedicate myself to a standout project of this kind.
Feel free to message me about them anyway, if you're really interested.
Art usage/rights:
I reserve the rights to the image and can use it for my portfolio, post it in my galleries online, etc.*
*Though, I will honour your wish for the private commission to not be posted to public galleries.
You are allowed to use your picture for non-commercial purposes only.
I do not give my permission to use any piece of WiP or finished image I send you for the purposes of minting and distributing them as NFTs. If I learn that you do/did this at any point in time, I will be very sad and disappointed in you. :)
upd. 2025: I do NOT give my consent to using my art to feed it to genAI/LLMs, whether you commissioned the work or not.
