A popular TV show of the 1990's, which abstracted great critiques but, was cancelled. I believe you understand where the problem is. The series didn't even had it's first season completed and it's sudden end, left thousands of anthropomorphic animal lovers wonder, will there ever be a continuation?
It's been exactly 23 years now since it's release date, with no signs that this show will ever be continued.
Hope slightly fades away over the years, and with the kids who grew up with it being adults now, it must have been forgotten by most.
New generations will hardly ever come across this series, as it's short duration disappointed, and keeps disappointing watchers.
Me, being a new watcher of the show, I testify as disappointed. Just a dozen of episodes left me with the taste, of what this show was and what it could have become.
Imagine if it was continued after two decades! With new, fancy animations and sound effects that modern technology can provide. A cartoon, made for kids of this generation, adults from a previous one and of course us, furries!
What do you guys think? Are there any chances of the show being actually continued? And what are your impressions of the first incomplete season?

Dunno if either ever sees the light of day
Since I'm a canine lover, I'd choose Road Rovers over Swat Kats.
But i do love Blitz from RR
But maybe if it's revisited, it might even be different, who knows. Only time will tell.
Usually, alternative versions are less promising from the main. If that's what they reserve for us, (a comedy show for kids) I prefer not watching it at all!
I doubt WB would ever consider making it again, its one of many filler shows made to accompany their real money makers in a saturday morning line up. But who knows.
Regardless, I totally agree with you and what you have to say. Narrow minded people of that period, were not ready for such an advanced TV show, thus, seaking its removal from the black box.
Had Warner Bros studios invested more at the show, it could have become one of their real money maker shows as well but, who knows!
You're totally right, even if they somehow decide to bring the show back, it would never feel the same. TV shows nowadays, go throw strict supervision, unabling writers to freely unfold their writing and humor skills as well.
That, makes it impossible to right something good and at the same time "suitable for kids".
Even though I'd love to see the show in it's old grandeur, I'm aware that's not going to happen. But, as you said, should they ever bring it back, I wouldn't hesitate to watch it.
Nevertheless, all I need at the moment are handsome canines fighting super villains in sexy suits.
