It's been about a month since I took those sketch pages (the only work in my queue) and I know that it usually doesn't take me that long to complete commissions, but unfortunately I had a downward spiral with both my health and my financials. Taxes completely wiped out my bank account, and I believe that the man I hired to do my taxes for me inserted the wrong information and many of the exemptions I qualify for somehow got left out and I don't have the funds to have someone else look over them for me. I was also hit with a $1,600 medical bill from an ER visit and shortly after, had to go to the ER again (still waiting on that bill). I had a nasty kidney infection that just went undetected for a while despite me telling them about the pain very specifically in my kidney area, resulting in two visits instead of just one. I have no money left for these bills (hopefully I'm eligible for the free care they told me about and my bills will be excused), and I'm in debt to my partner who helped me when shit hit the fan. I'm sort of in a hole right now and because of it I began to panic, stress myself out, and it affected how I would usually work. I knew I had to work, I knew what I had to do, I would lay out the reference sheets in front of me, open my canvas, draw for hours and everything would come out stiff, I began to stress even more. I spent 2 weeks just re-teaching myself the basics, looking at anatomy books, tried figure exercises, etc.. Nothing worked. I kept re-trying the same commission over and over until I broke down last week. Decided to take Thursday-Sunday off completely and just.. have some me time despite knowing how much trouble I'm in right now. It was either stress out and panic more, or try to relax, give myself some space, don't force myself to draw when I know I am incapable.

It seems to have worked, I'm feeling a bit better, still stressed but that comes with being completely broke and in debt I suppose. I expect that I'm actually going to be moving forward and making real progress this week, keep an eye on the trello if you want to see how I'm doing and don't be afraid to note me here or DM me on twitter if you're worried.
